Fanatec CSL DD Blue flashing light - Easy Fix

- I hope this video helps you if your CSL DD suddenly flashes blue all of a sudden.
I couldn't find any fixes online for this and I feared my CSL DD was done for!....But don't panic just yet!
I managed to get mine going and the fix was actually quite simple.
Try the steps outlined in this video and hopefully this helps resolve the issue for you also.

@@footdownracing no, you are the best. I got my wheel in May and never was able to update it. I bought a new computer 2 days ago and figured it would work this time and still nothing. I read a million forums and they are saying to download the driver to a different hard drive and all other kinds of nonsense. You are the only one that suggested to remove the rim and it worked instantly!! I'm so happy, you really are the best

No dice bud... Blue light comes from holding down the power button for "10 seconds" (I've found it to be less) when powering it on... Running into an issue of the CSL wheel hub causing the base to switch between colors...
Oh right.....I thought it was to do with an out of date firmware or something 🤔 If its a connection to the wheel hub issue, maybe blowing compressed air into the connections might solve it if its continuing to happen for you. Or maybe even a bit of switch cleaner. I had connection issues with a hdmi cable and I sprayed a bit of switch cleaner into the port and let it dry. Didn't have a problem with it after that.
Can you help me? My dd pro starting red flash after i get the qr2 and i put the steering wheel to the base the red flash starts
I'm not sure of why you are getting that issue, but I have heard of people getting a red flashing light due to a clamp on the shaft of the DD Pro coming loose.
Check out the link below to Boosted media video on how to install the QR2 and try and re install the QR2 again. I hope reinstalling it sorts it out, as I haven't come across this issue myself.

But why did it Happen?
I was in the middle of a 1h Race in Monza when it started to flash blue and disconected 🤷🏼♂️ what is the reason that it got in this Situation?
Unfortunately, I don't know the reason for it. It's hard to find info about it on the Internet either 🤔It's very strange that it happened to you during a race though! My wheel has had no problems since getting it going again. Were you able to get yours going again?
@@footdownracing my qr1 baseside slipped out and disconnected the Wheel. Thats the reason why my dd pro Flashed Blue .

Probably a strange question, but when you're in pc mode does your base show as (fanatec wheel) with a keyboard input?
Not a strange question at all! Is it showing up like that after you got the blue light fixed or while the flashing blue light is on? Where is it showing up as (fanatec wheel)? In a game or in the Fanatec control panel?
I have deleted all the games on my PC bar, EA Sports WRC but my wheel is being registered as a Fanatec CSL DD in the game but the buttons are showing as X Box buttons. I don't know if that is to do with the game or the wheel but I never saw that on any of my other games, like DR2. The wheel still works as it always did though....its a strange one 🤔

Getting any sort of a light that isn't normal on any of your equipment can be scary! None of us want to have to replace equipment that just dies all of a sudden. There may be other solutions to fixing this issue but this is what worked for me. 🙂👊

Hi man, there are 2 modes. Fanatec and logitec. It should default on the logitech, which should give you ffb. Whenever I changed it to Fanatec mode, I lost all feedback. Maybe yours is defaulting to fanatec mode. Also, make sure you have al the latest firmware updates installed. I can't remember how to change mode, but if you look up how to switch between Fanatec and logic modes on Drive Hub, you should find it. If you can't find it let me know and I'll try and find it for you

@@footdownracing fanatic gt did pro, it seems to hate grand tourismo as now it lost all signal again. Took wheel off to re connect again.
This BS has happened to me on my xbox x too. I'll try old mates solution. Fanatec nothing but drama for me lol
Ah shit man, I know it's a pain in the arse when any equipment acts up! I hope you get it sorted🤞 I personally think the Fanatec equipment quality is quite good for the most part. It's great that there are more options available now with Moza and other companies, though. Makes everyone have to up their game in terms of the quality of their products 👊

@@footdownracing Actually no. (I thought it did) But I did unplug the power, while the wheel was off, I cleaned up the quick release hub, took some of the dark greasy stuff off. Then it worked.

A lot of people have been getting this blue light problem recently 🤔 I don't have any other tips other than what's in this video, unfortunately. I hope you get it sorted
