    Hey, enjoyed your comparison, it clarified several questions regarding sound comparison of HomePod vs Echo. But I still have one question. I want to use a device to play music from my iTunes playlists and Sirius/XM. Will either or both let me play playlists directly from my iPod music which is mostly from CD’s ripped to playlists not purchased from Apple.

    Think something to seriously consider is the fact that the homepod is at least £80 more expensive. I want to like the homepod more being an iPhone user but the studio is just a lot more compatible with music services etc

    I was really blown away by the Echo Studio. I wasn’t expecting the sound quality and max volume. This thing is a beast. I got it because my Echo dot was damaged and I traded it in for a 25% discount on the Echo Studio. At $200, I would highly recommend this well built device.

    Got a home pod mini stereo set up right now and i planned to simply upgrade to the full size home pods but I also like loudness and bass so the studio seems to have an advantage. I was thinking of two echo studios as computer monitors but not sure if they could be hard wired as a stereo pair. Don’t want to use Bluetooth for that. Would be nice to have Alexa built in and streaming services built in. Do t know if using the AUX in with a pair set as a stereo pair would work.

    • @Mr-Clark
      @Mr-Clark Год назад +1

      Did you wind up using a pair for your computer? I connected a speaker to my computer via Bluetooth and there’s a slight delay in latency. I gun would go off in a game and a split second later the sound of the shot. Very annoying.

    I have both the speakers. And have used them quite extensively. In terms of ease of use. That goes to the homepod. But in terms of sound definition in quality the studio absolutely destroys it. Especially when you have it paired with an echo sub. I have my studio paired in a home theater format with an echo sub in some content my jaw hits the floor. The echo studio is especially good at Dolby Atmos content. The echo studio just creates a much better soundstage in my opinion.

    Want to try the HomePod with having an Apple based ecosystem but don’t like the restrictions that Apple insist on. Generally I use Spotify or Amazon music and these services connect any speaker with any device I’ve thrown at them. Had the studio for couple of years now and personally think it sounds amazing and with the latest update even better.
    If the HomePod was just a bit more versatile I’d try it.

    Great video. The Echo is so nosy of a speaker, that’s also constantly making sales pitches, I stopped using it. I’ve had one since it’s limited roll-out stage. We were initially very naive about all of its privacy violations. Amazon even stopped allowing a simple Bluetooth connection and only connected after gaining total network access. The Echo is not and has never been a “smart speaker”, it’s always been spyware with some smart features.
