I've been waiting all day for the notification that your video is up! Have watched it with a cup of tea, my cosy blanket and my sparkly lights on. Thank you for another beautiful and inspirational video. Lovely crafts - love the toilet roll one 🎄🕯
Yours is the first Christmas decorating video that hasn't stressed me out! Calm and peace are what I need from my decor this year. 😇 My craft of the season has been knitting dishcloths to give as gifts. 14 sets completed and one to go! I have enjoyed it so much I'm not sure I will be able to stop. 😊
Warm and cozy without the clutter. I love it! I enjoyed seeing your crafts and gift wrapping. Sweet and simple which reads elegant to me. Thank you for sharing!

No better way to calm down and finally soak in the upcoming winter festive routines than watching you, Benita! Many kisses and happy upcoming new year!
I really like your Greenery on your headboard! Makes it look so much more warm and cozy. When our 3 adult girls were grown we realize that they really didn't have the budget to buy everybody presents at Christmas. Now that they have their own families the same as even more true. Not everyone has a resources to buy multiple gifts for people. We try to avoid gift cards as they can be seen as fairly impersonal. Instead we do stocking stuffers small items that we know that they use and enjoy and some homemade food items. This year I did some olive oil packed roasted organic tomatoes that I grew in our garden. Minimal gift ideas to me are really also minimal outlay of cash with the economy the way it is and prices way way up at least in the United States. Concert tickets, depending on what kind of concerts you're talking about can be exorbitantly expensive for most people. Unless you're talking about local small symphonies? Or? You can really save a lot of money if you do your own Foods as far as cooking, making your own smoothies Etc. I know some of those pre-made smoothie drinks are handy but can get pretty expensive over time. But if you can afford it go for it!
Replacing existing decor with Xmas decor so it’s not overwhelming is such a simple yet effective idea! I’ve always felt my space is cluttered by adding extra seasonal decor but it never occurred to me I could switch out stuff instead. Thank you for this tip!
What a lovely video, as always! The bit about the mistletoe and made me laugh and almost tear up at once 🥹 I’m going back to France this Christmas, so will be spending it without my cat Pixie who will stay in the warm Australian summer. I believe time together, paired with an activity, makes for a great gift - we’re so busy, especially during the silly season, that a “voucher to go to the movies together” (where I pay for the movie ticket, and let my friend pick the film of course) is always appreciated. So I’m not only giving my money, but also my time, to my loved ones. God Jul to you too Benita!
Love your moderate and tasteful Christmas decorations...just enough to brighten the grey days and highlight the joy of the holidays. Everything well thought out, and just perfect!!! Loved the toilet roll craft...so simple but beautiful! Another inspiring share! Thank you! ❤❤❤
Hello from 🇨🇦, Benita. I always enjoy your holiday decorating video so very much, that I watch them multiple times even thru out the year. I love seeing your minimal lighting adding warmth and cheer to your apartment. I too love setting up my Christmas lights around our home and enjoy them well into the new year. I have added two IKEA type window stars to our decor and with two small berry wreaths and a couple of small garlands of cones and cotton, we are enjoying our small additions well before December this year. Have a lovely day .
Happy Holiday season to you Benita and yours. I really love the hand made crafts. I've been wanting to decorate this year but didn't want to accumulate a lot of stuff because I have limited storage space for something that is only used for a few weeks out of the year. I'll be making the cardboard ornaments you shared. Love that idea! 🎄
I spent the last couple of days watching all of your holiday videos, so you can imagine how delighted I am to see this one pop up! Thank you ⭐! Hugs to Mr. B. 🐈⬛
Wonderful decoration, Benita❤️🌲 We put our christmastree on the balcony in the beginning of Decmber. It lights up our kitchen from outside and gives the warm feeling we all need. Furthermore, it stays fresh and in January we can throw it down, unfortunately😉 and will have no needles in the flat🙈. Many thanks for your ideas all over the years. Greetings from Hamburg/ Germany and god Jul! Anni
I am in love with the mistletoe as I never have seen such a thing. Wonderful video, Benita as you prove that you can surround yourself with beauty and warmth modestly. Wondering if Bonus might enjoy a middle of the night walk through your headboard garland! 🤭
Étant musulmane, Je ne fête pas noël, cela dit je devrai acheter un bougeoir pour égayer mon salon. Votre décoration est épurée et simple comme votre façon de vivre.
🇬🇧 Benita, what great ideas, the toilet roll decorations, how creative and a bit of up cycling. Love your Christmas Stocking hanging on the door, love the colour green. I have a Swedish friend who lives in the UK and at Christmas she wraps the Swedish flags around her tree 🌲
I don’t enjoy making crafts, but those cardboard flowers are gorgeous! I might actually have to make them. You always have the best ideas! Your holiday decor is lovely. 🕯️
I made some toilet paper roll ornaments last night. The shapes remind me of the rosettes my mom made at Christmas time during my childhood. Memory unlocked!
Tusen tack for the - as always - amazing and cozy video, Benita ✨️ In my family we read a lot and we have this tradition that each one writes down their book wishes on little pieces of paper and puts them in an envelope (usually a few more wishes that people that are engaged). My mother than hangs them up on a string at my parents' house and each member chooses one book of each of the other envelopes. So for example I gift a book each to both my parents, brother, and partner and I will get 4 books in return. In that way everyone gets only what they wish for but will also be surprised what books they get by whom 😊 Greetings from Vienna!
I like getting an interesting book. A whole adventure, or something to learn in a small package. And, you can pass it on to a good friend after you've read it.
Love your Christmas decor. Your craft ideas are amazing, affordable and doable. I'm not a crafty person, however I've made your lovely heart from last year and I'll probably have a go at making this year's flowers, as well ❤
I kept my Christmas decorations very simple this year. It was so much more manageable for me. Usually I manage about two weeks and then I need to clear them away. I think because I pared them down I was able to last four weeks. My wonderful dad gifted me a real tree on 1st December. I normally put mine up on 12th. I donated lots of decorations in early December for other people to use them. If my home is too cluttered it really affects me adversely. This year was that magic, happy spot! I’ll be doing the same in future too. Your home looks beautiful ❤
I love the toilet paper roll flower! I'm going to have to squeeze that in this year. I LOVE your style and I am a minimalist, but my family isn't on board for such neutral and calming decor. A sweet elderly friend bought me ornaments one year because she thought my tree was plain. Thank you for quality videos!!!
Love your gift ideas and your toilet paper stars. Thanks for an inspirational video. And God Jul from someone who still misses Sweden each and every Christmas even after 40+ years in California.
Simplicity is definitely not overrated. The calmness that this look offers is exactly my plan. I don’t have family or guests coming over so for me a delicately lit home is perfect and also helps with the heavy nostalgia that can show up this time of year. Thank you for all the time and detail you put into your videos, you have created a beautiful new home. Oh! I love the idea of just switching decor, keeps the look fresh and clutter free 💕 Merry Christmas Benita.
So pretty :) Our family picks names for each adult with a budget limit per person. None of us make very much money these days, so it’s nice to know what level of gift expectation to buy without feeling pressure to spend more than we can afford.
Your Christmas chronicles are some of my favorites and much anticipated. I’d love to see video of the lights in window and outside Stockholm. I’d love to see what you see on your daily routine and walks. Let me be Benita for 5 minutes 😊😊😊😊
I love your holiday video always! I don’t like the clutter of holiday decor but enjoy the festive mood. This always gives me on ideas on how much is just enough. Thanks for sharing 🎄
How beautiful ! Every year I look forward to your Christmas decoration video. I have already adopted some of your ideas. Thank you so much for the video. The new mistletoe is practicularly beautiful 😍 Greetings from Germany
Thank you Benita for another lovely video. Your apartment looks so pretty and cosy with the Christmas decorations. Your Christmas tree is so simple and yet so beautiful. There’s such beauty in simplicity. The mistletoe over Bonus’s bed is such a loving thing to do. He really is blessed to have you or your blessed to have each other! 🐈⬛❤️🎄🍲🥧🥂🇭🇺🇦🇺
Was so waiting for your Christmas decorating of your home. All your decorations and ideas are fantastic. Brilliant what you did with the toilet paper rolls. Those decorations are so nice. I commented last video, but have to say again, I do love that chest in your kitchen that you are waiting to take to your summer home. You Ikea tree is nice decorated simply and makes the room so cozy at night with the lights and candles. Always like to see how you gift wrap your gifts each year. I do like the greenery on your headboard and I too should do the same. You place is so cozy now, quite a difference this Christmas when you can actually enjoy all of your renovations you did. Nice to see you and your friend Anne making decorations. So look forward to your next video. Love your sofa more and more and that lovely painting above it. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Lovely video Benita. I love your aesthetic, especially your choices of Christmas decor. Twinkly lights, candles, a few special ornaments here and there. That is enough for me. I will be decorating today after being inspired by you. Let the holiday cheer begin🕯🎄🕯
I always look forward to your content. I love all that you do. You calm me in ways that I can’t express. I too am a mom on a son who wants to give me so many gifts all year long & I have to beg him not to. Next year my aim it to live the simplest life as possible with less.
Very lovely Holiday decorations ideas! I love the use of light, homemade ornaments, and little touches here and there that aren't too cluttered. Everything is color-coordinated and goes well with your living space. Thanks for sharing your tips. Jenny USA
A wonderful video. I love the simple beauty of your Christmas decorations and the calmness that your home brings. I enjoy decorating for Christmas myself. I love to decorate the shrubs outside my home in white lights. I do keep it fairly simple indoors. I also used to have live trees but I invested in an artificial tree that really has the look and feel of a real tree. We spend our Christmas and winters in Florida. Lots of warmth and sunshine, but, I still love the peace and stillness of the cold winters night. Have a blessed Christmas season🎄🎄🎄
Dear Benita I loved how you so tastefully decorated your home for Christmas 🎄 everything is so beautiful & loved your thrifted items & your craftsmanship skills. Lucky Bonus under the mistletoe - although I know he gets much love from you on a daily basis ❤
Hi from Michigan USA, Benita! I recently discovered your channel, and I love what I see. Your minimalism is so calming to watch. Thank you for your inspiring videos.
Thank you for sharing - I love the way you have decorated and I am so happy for you that this year you are much more settled and able to enjoy the Christmas season!
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love these ideas! I'm definitely going to use them next time, now that we've finished our Christmas shopping for the year. Unless I happen to come across something small that they really want, I won't be buying anything else. But for now, I'm super happy with what we've got.
If there’s a museum nearby, a membership to the museum for a person or family is great. I have lots near me and there’s a great kids museum. A family membership there could get used often.
Your video has put me in a cosy xmas mood , I even made your decorations today with my old toilet rolls and I'm so happy at how well they turned out for a first try , thankyou for all the tips and xmas vibe
Love your tree - it was cute seeing Bonus enter the frame as you were assembling it. I noticed you had what appears to be a magnet mounted to the ceiling which made it easy to use the hook with the magnet to hang your decor. Where do you find and how do you mount ceiling magnets? I’m all in for consumable gifts. I’ve pared down my home items considerably and don’t need more stuff. I decorated with small stuffed winter owls this year. I have them sitting on a white ceramic tray with fairy lights. Also have candles, greenery and fairy lights placed about. Those are things I’ll leave up all winter for hygge effect. Bring on the chai tea and cakes!
I found the magnet at a store called Clas Ohlson. It's adhesive so you stick it to the ceiling and leave the base there. Then you can remove the hook part when not in use. It's just a little dot that's hardly seen since it's so high up.
Merry Christmas and a better New Year, may PEACE reach the entire world, good health and may we respect the Air, the Seas, the Rivers and the Plants of our Planet. Love for Family
Inspirational vlog. I am minimalist in decor. My decor usually goes up the middle of December but have a tradition of taking it down on the 12th night after Christmas. But I love the idea of a few lights up, so may well do that. Great gift ideas. Enjoy your December 🌿
My mother loves the coffee of a small rostery in my town but she would never buy there herself due to the price. Now I always have the perfect gift which makes her a little bit happy everyday ,does not clutter get house , and helps the coffee project workers.
I enjoyed watching you prepare for the holiday season. Your home is so peaceful and warm. I thought I had decluttered enough, but have discovered while decorating that I still have much to still let go of. My little artificial tree has only white lights and pewter ornaments I bought from Norway and Sweden. Of course there is a Julbok and a tomten guarding it. My snowball candles from Sweden are once again burning with tea lights in them, two others(Kosta Boda?) are cheerful and peaceful. These candle holders have been with me since I briefly lived in Sweden(in Taby) in the 90s and have burned every year. I learned the value of candles my first winter there. And I’ve not quit using them. I remember sweet things from living there. I haven’t opened my box of Swedish pepperkaker yet, but will when closer to Xmas. ☕️🫖🎄 Although I have very little Nordic DNA (maybe 10-12%) I have continued yearly some small Swedish customs. I enjoy feeling connected still in a tiny way to Sweden and my Xmas isn’t complete without them. God Yul and Happy Christmas to you.
I have been excitedly anticipating this video. Now, this puts me in the Christmas mood. Everything looks wonderful and festive. The garland over the bed- nice placement. But if you tire of it, make a wreath for over the bed. Just a suggestion. I like it just as it is. Love it , love it. Happy Holidays.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, just love your white felt angel, among all your other decor, everything looks Devine.thankyou for all the time and thought you put into these videos for our enjoyment and ideas.💚
Dear Benita! I enjoyed your video so much, your decorations are so tasteful and clean, but also with a cozy twang! The paperstars are gorgeous, such a simple but effective idea🤩 and , of course, the metal mistletoe over Bonuses place😻I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas time ❤️🎄🍄💥☃️❄️
Loving your channel Benita, love everything you have done in your apartment. Your environment is beautiful, tasteful and calm. Love your simplicity and minimalist style. Thanks for sharing some of your great tips. Watching from the south end of the earth in Australia.🥰🐨🦘 Have a wonderful Festive season...keep warm.🎄
I enjoyed watching this video so much! We had several Swedish families as neighbors in the 1990’s and learned to see the beauty in more minimal decor well before the current trend. The simple beauty of adding white lights is so calming. I wish you God Jul och got nytt ar!
Your decorations are so beautiful, Benita. I also love using light as decor for Christmas, and have been thinking more in terms of winter decor. When things aren’t specifically for Christmas I am more open to leaving it up longer into the winter. I’m in Canada and our winter is also long and dark, so I love having more light to make the winter seem softer and cosier.
Beautiful decor! I like your Christmas gift suggestions! I often buy nuts and wine for the men and chocolates for the women, as well as other gifts. This year, I bought a movie gift card for a friend who is a minimalist. 😊

Thank you! That is such a satisfying one to make!
Yours is the first Christmas decorating video that hasn't stressed me out! Calm and peace are what I need from my decor this year. 😇
My craft of the season has been knitting dishcloths to give as gifts. 14 sets completed and one to go! I have enjoyed it so much I'm not sure I will be able to stop. 😊
I agree! Calm and oeace
That a great gift to give and receive!
Warm and cozy without the clutter. I love it!
I enjoyed seeing your crafts and gift wrapping. Sweet and simple which reads elegant to me.
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching!
Two other gift suggestions. Make a donation to the charity of the gift receiver’s choice or create certificates of service. A day of dog sitting, mowing the yard, running a half day of errands for example. This was a beautiful video.
Those are great ideas! Thank you!
This is exactly what I needed today, our first snowfall in southwestern Ontario🇨🇦 Every idea, Benita, is inspiring me today! Another minimal gift to consider is one my nephews give me every year: a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation and/or UNICEF. It always warms my heart to know that others in greater need than I are receiving support.
Yes, donations are a great idea!
I don't give gifts to adults, instead I make a donation to a worthy charity. I let people know who has received the contribution.
@@anaalves3658 It seems to me that this takes the recipients needs and wishes totally out of the equation. Doesn't feel like a personal gift and if the recipient truly needs or wants something they are left feeling hollow. Just my thoughts.
I pretty much love everything about you. But I must say that how you take care of your cat really touches my heart. What a good mommy you are.❤
Merry Christmas. Love your sustainable flower decorations and the idea of mistletoe over Bonus's space 🥰
God jul! Thanks so much!
Luv that mistletoe mobile!@@BenitaLarsson

Happy Holiday season to you Benita and yours. I really love the hand made crafts. That is a smart idea!
That sound so lovely and cozy!
I like your idea of putting a tree out on the balcony. I don’t have room inside for a tree so this would work nicely.
I am in love with the mistletoe as I never have seen such a thing. Wonderful video, Benita as you prove that you can surround yourself with beauty and warmth modestly. Wondering if Bonus might enjoy a middle of the night walk through your headboard garland! 🤭
Hi Benita 🤗Love your Christmas decorations - I can't believe you've already been there for a year! Wow! time really does fly 😍

I have a Swedish friend who lives in the UK and at Christmas she wraps the Swedish flags around her tree 🌲
The flags is an old tradition that we've never done in my family since my mom was German. Look cute though!

Thank you!
Love the cardboard flowers!!! So unique and beautiful.
And so easy and satisfying to make!
Every year I make quince juice for tea. Decorate the bottles for Christmas and give them to my friends.
Very lovely Holiday decorations ideas! I love the use of light, homemade ornaments, and little touches here and there that aren't too cluttered. Everything is color-coordinated and goes well with your living space. Thanks for sharing your tips. Jenny USA
So happy you like them!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely as always. Such a warm video and I love the gift wrap and decorations 🎄
So shoot you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous vlog. Merry Xmas to you Benita and Bonus 🌲⛄💕 I like to gift and receive consumables too. Love the decorations and the mistletoe for Bonus.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Dear Benita I loved how you so tastefully decorated your home for Christmas 🎄 everything is so beautiful & loved your thrifted items & your craftsmanship skills. Lucky Bonus under the mistletoe - although I know he gets much love from you on a daily basis ❤
I wish he loved my kisses as much as the little toothbrush 😅
Hi from Michigan USA, Benita! I recently discovered your channel, and I love what I see. Your minimalism is so calming to watch. Thank you for your inspiring videos.
Thanks so much for watching them!
Thank you for sharing - I love the way you have decorated and I am so happy for you that this year you are much more settled and able to enjoy the Christmas season!
This Christmas will be a calmer one for sure!
I love how you decorated your apartment for Xmas. Lovely ❤
Thank you!🌲
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love these ideas! I'm definitely going to use them next time, now that we've finished our Christmas shopping for the year. Unless I happen to come across something small that they really want, I won't be buying anything else. But for now, I'm super happy with what we've got.
Great job on being finished!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful as always! And keep kissing Bonus’ head no matter where he sits😊
If there’s a museum nearby, a membership to the museum for a person or family is great. I have lots near me and there’s a great kids museum. A family membership there could get used often.
That's a great idea!
Your video has put me in a cosy xmas mood , I even made your decorations today with my old toilet rolls and I'm so happy at how well they turned out for a first try , thankyou for all the tips and xmas vibe
Aren’t they so satisfying to make?
Truly
🕯️ perfection 😊 Thank you Benita for a calm, festive, and inspiring video.
Thank you so much for watching!
Every year I buy a bright red Amaryllis for Christmas I love watching them grow and bloom. There such a beautiful plant. Your home is beautiful.
They’re so Christmassy!🙌🏻
Merry Christmas and a better New Year, may PEACE reach the entire world, good health and may we respect the Air, the Seas, the Rivers and the Plants of our Planet. Love for Family
Inspirational vlog. I am minimalist in decor. My decor usually goes up the middle of December but have a tradition of taking it down on the 12th night after Christmas. But I love the idea of a few lights up, so may well do that. Great gift ideas.
Enjoy your December 🌿
Mine usually comes down before new year’s😅
As always Benita loved your video, so calming, relaxing and inspirational to watch. Your Christmas tree so simple but so beautiful x
So happy to hear that!
Beautiful, soothing and pure pleasure. Thank you once again.
My mother loves the coffee of a small rostery in my town but she would never buy there herself due to the price. Now I always have the perfect gift which makes her a little bit happy everyday ,does not clutter get house , and helps the coffee project workers.
That’s such a thoughtful gift!
Hello Benita. Looks absolutely lovely and cosy. I like your crafting evening with the friend.

Thanks Benita feeling chillrd after watching your vlog. Love your crafting sessions, might make some myself.⭐️
I’m so happy if you liked it!
♡ I had an old tube from wrapping paper, and I'm cutting it up in strips now. Thanks for the tip!
Love this minimalist Christmas i will be definately be decluttering in the New Year thankyou for the inspiration xx🌲🌲
So happy if you feel inspired!
Ah, the snowball candle holder, a classic!
Thank you for teaching how to start the life from the beginning❤
I have been excitedly anticipating this video. Now, this puts me in the Christmas mood. Everything looks wonderful and festive. The garland over the bed- nice placement. But if you tire of it, make a wreath for over the bed. Just a suggestion. I like it just as it is. Love it , love it. Happy Holidays.
Thank you so much! God jul!
I planted my annual amaryllis bulb last Friday. Very much enjoyed learning that you also follow this tradition.
Such a nice start to decorating!

Semplicemente bellissimo. Adoro le candele che illuminano le finestre e che si possono ammirare da fuori..
Grazie Mille ! So happy you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much!
So gentle & festive!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful decor! I like your Christmas gift suggestions! I often buy nuts and wine for the men and chocolates for the women, as well as other gifts. This year, I bought a movie gift card for a friend who is a minimalist. 😊
Those are great ideas!
I love your christmas decor. It is so lovely and not cluttery. Happy Seasons.
So glad you like it! God jul!
