Thank you very much for your calming, rational and interesting videos. Watching them makes me feel that in our crazy world there are still sensible people with pleasant approach to life. Your apartment is very nice by the way and very much in my style too 😊
Great advice! I always try to use my nicest things to help cope with the shorter darker days - I burn my nicest candles, use my best perfume or bath oils everyday, wear my best silk PJs and cashmere socks etc. Don't save your nicest things (or gifts) for sometime in the future. You cannot pin joy like a moth - so live in the moment.
I had a lousy week and halfway through the video I noticed my body relaxed and enjoyed every moment of content. Thank you, Benita for 🌌 brining your community great information and warmth!
So nice (and a relief) to see the floor gaps filled. It makes such a huge difference. Not only keeping bugs and other possible unwanted beings out of your home, but also it adds that finishing touch, which makes for a nicer looking home, warm and cozy. I know it's a big job, but you are doing a wonderful pro job on it. Well done Benita ! 🍃🍂🍁Happy Fall🍃🍂🍁
Thanks a million for this video, it brightened my gloomy Sunday morning here in Poland 🍁🍂 I use shaggy bathroom mats for my cats to lie on: they are cosy and withstand frequent washes 🐱 As I curl up on my sofa with a book or crossword puzzle (love them!) I light a candle, make myself a hot drink and put on some smooth jazz = bliss! Best autumn wishes, everyone 🤗
I love winter! I feel so much happier during winter than I do during summer, I just can’t handle heath at all. I even put up my Christmas decor already haha minus the tree because I’m getting a real one.. 🎄 Anyways such great tips and what a calming video 🤍
Wow, I can’t believe it’s a year since you moved into your beautiful apartment. Where has the time gone? Love your latest post, as always really calming to watch.

You bring the Joy in the moment. Such exquisit taste flows from every corner of Your home. Each space so inviting as is a beautiful reflection of Your Generous Soul. Thank you So much for these years of teaching us to make our lives Happier !❤
How different life is in cold countries! It looks especially cozy... In Argentina we're preparing for a very hot summer with quite a lot of rain. But we still keep some of our European ancestors' Christmas customs, so you give us good inspiration. Thanks Benita!
Great tips! I second Cerave moisturizing cream. I am sure Bonus really appreciates you keeping his cozy warm spots nice and clean and ready for a fall/winter nap! 😸😻
I almost bought some battery operated tea lights last week. I no longer decorate for the winter holidays, so I decided against the tea lights. But your video has left me feeling mellow and calm. Hopefully, I’ll be able to add a few simple items to bring warmth and joy in the house. Getting some evergreen branches just to add a little bit of a festive feel (and smell) really excited me. None of these additions will be too costly, or take up too much space. Thank you.
I put quarter-rounds back down on the baseboards for my finished look. Just nail or glue them to the vertical baseboard bottom, not to the floor. That prevents cracking and splitting when the floor and wall contract in the cold (as they will, and are supposed to). I also filled that little gap by poking rolled up newspaper back there before putting the quarter-rounds on.
Wonderful suggestions Benita ! Just had to laugh when you talked about removing the label from your Cera Ve containers and I looked over at my container of Cera Ve with the label removed. I too find labels distracting and remove most of them. Wishing a happy and healthy fall/winter season.
I have switched to battery candle's because of my asthma and I love them. After seeing all your candles now I want some more! 😂 I live in the subtropics in Queensland Australia so while you're preparing for a long cold winter I'm preparing for a long, hot, humid summer.🥵 Thank goodness for airconditioning! Excellent tips 👍☺️. I'm in Portugal and we went from 30 degrees to under 20 and lots of rain overnight. I'm not a winter person, i like hot sunny days, but I love your suggestions. We had our fireplace serviced during the summer holidays, i have a good selection of teas and a huge stockpile of my favourite hot chocolate powder 😊. My cat has a heating pad for his basket and that has been bought down from storage. Everyone i know has had wood delivered, I'm just waiting on my dad to roast some chestnuts 😄. I always get my daughter to light a candle after dinner, it's placed on the kitchen counter while I clean up, and i really enjoy the scent and the flicker of the light 😊. I can't wait to see your Christmas decorating ideas😊. I love Christmas decorations 🤩🤩🤩🤩. My family has been warned that I will be going to all the neighbouring towns to see the lights 😂. Last year i was able to go to Belgium to some of the Christmas markets and I was super happy 😁.
I am totally with you. I never use overhead lights unless I need to see something that I can't see with my lamps. And I have been a big fan of candles since I was a teenager growing up in Jamaica. I was always happy when the power went out and I could use my candles. As you say, so cozy. In winter I love fairy lights and candles all the time. As I always read before I go to bed I have a set of candles there, and often read by candlelight. I find that the lower light level makes it easy to feel relaxed and fall asleep. I wish I could come to some of the winter festivities at Skansen. My parents met and got married in Sweden (neither was Swedish) and I have a half sister there, so I've been to Skansen in the summer. Stockholm is such a beautiful city, and my godmother lives there. I love that there are none of the awful towering buildings that they have here in North America! I do have that fine Scandinavian hair too, so I'll have to check out that Zuvi hair dryer and see if it's available here in Canada!
Thank you for sharing...great tips that can be done around any home....day ideas...and I can't believe how quickly the year has gone since you moved. 😮. I think it's great architecture . Great room sizes..
Hi Benita - It is 7.10am UK time, the house is quiet again so now coffee in hand i have peace to watch your really lovely, calming, video again👏. I am always inspired to carry out some task when i have watched your videos and today it is to tackle the piling on my cashmeres👍(winter prep) . Thank you for sharing - I just love this time of year!!
You said it: Cats & candle flames🔥; a real no-no!!! I do remember an instance of singed whiskers & fur. Scary!!!!! Cats are definitely drawn to things that are on the “verboten” list!!!!! I’ve moved on to the LED candles - Much safer!! BTW: I always feel so energized after watching one of your videos. Your suggestions are so normal and do-able. They’re small acts we can actually accomplish. Nothing exhausting or extravagant! Many thanks 🙏!
Another relaxing cosy video ! Your ideas are wonderful ! The plant looks great around the window 👌! Thanks Benita !! Hey finally got my closet painted ☺️!! Feels so much fresher and organised 💝
I use olive oil and coconut oil to moisturize my skin in the winter. Also, if you live where water is chlorinated, install a shower filter that removes the chemicals.
In how many houses that little wooden IKEA stairs would function, eh, Benita? I've got it. 😉Electric battery lights all the way, no burned Persian gentlemen here. And a bonus plant, how sweet!
Although I’m going into summer here I found this video soothing and comfortable to watch. Thank you! Benita, the plant you hung up looks like a Porthos, and those are highly toxic for cats, so don’t let your kitty near it or chew it.
Ah, winter! I'm looking forward to it after the months of high heat. I have some winterizing to do too. One thing I want too do is find an appropriate wall sconce for my kitchen. I don't like the bright overhead fixture at 6 am. I'm stocked with candles and cozy throws. Funny how I don't eat salads in cold weather so I'm checking out recipes with lots of cooked vegetables. That shop looked so inviting! See you next time. Thanks.
I'm thinking of adding under cupboard lights in my kitchen for those times when you don't need the overhead light on. I like the way my kitchen light looks but the bulbs you have to use for it are far too bright
Hello..loved your cozy winter tips ,have a small suggestion for your thin hair ..use high speed ozone n then warm castor oil, almond oil and if possible rosemary oil and massage in your scalp leave overnight or 3/4 hours & shampoo n condition..repeat this at least 3 times a week you’ll see new hair growth soon..
Dear Benita! Lovely video again, some great ideas, I do have similar things that I prepare for the winter season such as candles, tea, comfy warm blankets, winter dishes as I like to cook, and so on…. I also find this peeling machine very useful! Your balcony looks so cute😍 I also decorated my garden with winter flowers and outdoor lights! It’s so important to have a cozy home in this mad world ! So looking forward to your next video, have lovely time! Lots of love from Iris from southwest Germany!👋🙋♀️💐
Really cozy video! This pothos plant needs a trimming though. It barely has any leaves left. You can trim them and put them in water, so they grow roots and you can plant them in another pot.
For this flower/plant the best way would be to cut those long parts without leaves and put and put them in the jar with water. When they have new roots you put them back to the same planter. This way you have much nicer plant next year. Best time to do it would be early spring :)
I love that you embrace the season and get into wintering. I need to take a cue and quit fighting our winters (but they are SO long and cold!!). Where is your grey waffle bedspread from? I looked at your sources list and didn't see it but I may have missed it. Could I also ask where your LED tapers are from? The LED pillar candles are easy enough to find but nice looking LED tapers don't seem to be.
The waffle blanket is from Muji. I get my battery operated candles in a local store, Granit. Try and find ones that have real wax, they’re the most realistic looking ones.
Benita me encanta todo lo que haces....me identifico mucho contigo solo que yo tengo que luchar cada día con hijos marido y perro para mantener el orden que me gusta en casa...me da paz..me encantan los colores neutros que utilizas... felicidades 😊
The floors are absolutely stunning, can you speak at all to the method used to obtain the look of the wooden floors? I know they must be aged by now but they appear to have been sanded and filled in-between the boards at some point? Thank you for all the lovely tips❤❤❤ 🇨🇦
I started loving and using candles when I lived in Sweden long ago. I still have 4 Kosta Boda “snowball” votive holders and have been loving them for over 30 years. I also have about 12-18 battery operated ones as well. I do love to burn candles because I enjoy a nice scent.
That is a cute cat bed. I have a heated pod for my cats. I never considered a fleece pad for it. Next time I am IKEA I might have to look for some fleece.
This was lovely and I always love to see Bonus ❤ I have a candle drawer too and use them all the time even though I now live in Australia. I did buy a set of the electric ones for my upstairs bathroom and that is working out really well. I wasn’t sure if I would like them but they are fine 😊
You said in one of your recent videos that you are looking for a standing desk again. I have seen 2 designs that are minimalistic, white, seamless finish, not too big and not too "office-y' as you put it. Flexi Spot and APEX sit/standing desks. Both adjustable, programmable height sets with just one press of a button. They look great, I think. It'd fit your living/dining area. Check them out, xx..
Environmentally friendly options might be possible? Tea lights not in plastic holders; rechargeable batteries for electrical ones; or USB charging candles?
I love how calming your videos are!!! Quick question, are mattresses always that thin in Sweden? Is the box below another mattress or what we call here in the USA a box spring?
My partner blames you for our candle budget. 😂 I have a few battery candles but have a hard time finding white ones and not cream/yellow. Luckily ikea’s tea lights are so cheap and come in bulk. This year I’m adding star window lights for the holidays. Thank-you yet again for the peek into your life. Cheers!
Your clothing and surroundings are exclusively white, off-white, black, shades of grey and neutral wood. In the spring/summer/fall, you have your windows open and see the colorful foliage, flowers, birds and more exciting sunshine. In the winter you have little outside and your apartment needs more color. Maybe a wall hanging with color in it. Your candles are white, your dishes are probably white. Go to Italy, buy some colorful dishes. Get some colorful placemats, towels, something.
My kitty does the same thing when I clean her eyes. She is always swatting at me to put down my hands. I think she secretly loves it though. She doesn't protest too much.
We've got a cat this September and I don't even know how to break it to my kids that the Christmas decorations are under the question, the cat is really into that thing, like climbing and destroying 😅
I don't cook so I don't splash 🤣 I had the countertop already so I just kept what was already there. The paint is a durable paint that can be wiped though.
This was so gentle, informative and interesting. I was however a little worried about you using potting mix inside and without gloves. In Australia some potting mix has warning about being outside when using and to were gloves due to pathogens… 👍✅🇦🇺

@@BenitaLarsson Thanks for the reply and the tip on the tapers:)
Would Iove to ‘come over and hop in’ on that lovely puzzle🥰
Jigsaws are quite addictive, aren’t they!?
My cozy corner is my reading cave, just getting it all set up now for winter.
I love it!📚
Me encantan tus vídeos. Saludos desde Barcelona❤
Thank you so much!
Benita me encanta todo lo que haces....me identifico mucho contigo solo que yo tengo que luchar cada día con hijos marido y perro para mantener el orden que me gusta en casa...me da paz..me encantan los colores neutros que utilizas... felicidades 😊
That was calming
Thanks so much for watching!
The floors are absolutely stunning, can you speak at all to the method used to obtain the look of the wooden floors? I know they must be aged by now but they appear to have been sanded and filled in-between the boards at some point? Thank you for all the lovely tips❤❤❤ 🇨🇦
Not sure how they were treated as they were already this way when I moved in😅
I started loving and using candles when I lived in Sweden long ago. I still have 4 Kosta Boda “snowball” votive holders and have been loving them for over 30 years. I also have about 12-18 battery operated ones as well. I do love to burn candles because I enjoy a nice scent.
Those snow balls are a true Swedish staple!
Beautiful, as always 🌿
Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for the tip!
The best I've done to survive last winter was spending January to March in Vietnam. I wish I could this year but nope. Bracing myself
I got a mini trampoline to stay active this winter 💪🏼
Any physical activity is a good physical activity!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Environmentally friendly options might be possible? Tea lights not in plastic holders; rechargeable batteries for electrical ones; or USB charging candles?
All that can safety or recycled here in Sweden.
I love how calming your videos are!!! Quick question, are mattresses always that thin in Sweden? Is the box below another mattress or what we call here in the USA a box spring?
I made a video about my bed. You can watch it here ruclips.net/video/ruPtJvbk1NI/видео.htmlsi=wnyjRfwX30hHRFsD
My partner blames you for our candle budget. 😂
I have a few battery candles but have a hard time finding white ones and not cream/yellow. Luckily ikea’s tea lights are so cheap and come in bulk.
This year I’m adding star window lights for the holidays.
Thank-you yet again for the peek into your life.
Cheers!
Hahaha! I love it!
Bästa Benita! 💗
Tack😊
Your clothing and surroundings are exclusively white, off-white, black, shades of grey and neutral wood. In the spring/summer/fall, you have your windows open and see the colorful foliage, flowers, birds and more exciting sunshine. In the winter you have little outside and your apartment needs more color. Maybe a wall hanging with color in it. Your candles are white, your dishes are probably white. Go to Italy, buy some colorful dishes. Get some colorful placemats, towels, something.
🙄
My kitty does the same thing when I clean her eyes. She is always swatting at me to put down my hands. I think she secretly loves it though. She doesn't protest too much.
That little gesture is so sweet🥹
Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Perfect as always
Thank you so much!
We've got a cat this September and I don't even know how to break it to my kids that the Christmas decorations are under the question, the cat is really into that thing, like climbing and destroying 😅
That’s kittens for you😊
Cries in South Texas 😅
Thank you❤
Lovely video Benita. Just as an FYI, Pothos are poisonous to kitties. Only one of my cats is a plant chewer so I can’t have one 😢
I know that but Bonus never touches houseplants.
may I ask why youre not having backsplash to cover the kitchen wall? or are you using a special paint? thanks! 🙂
I don't cook so I don't splash 🤣 I had the countertop already so I just kept what was already there. The paint is a durable paint that can be wiped though.
So you got the ‘Manchesters’ !
I did🤣
This was so gentle, informative and interesting. I was however a little worried about you using potting mix inside and without gloves. In Australia some potting mix has warning about being outside when using and to were gloves due to pathogens… 👍✅🇦🇺
Glad you enjoyed it!
Pathogens in the soil?! What kind of soil are you Aussies using for your plants? This is surprising....
