Then come back to it, at least 30 minutes later, and then make the bed. I just make the bed when I put away the clean laundry. @@YesiIbarra Thanks Yesi. I searched their website and they do look delicious! Unfortunately they must have changed their packaging slightly as they now only seem to have jars with red lids. Never mind - thanks for responding 👍
@@carolhowley2389 Oh mine also have jars with red lids. I paint the tops of the lids with chalk paint and cover with wax. I don’t have a dishwasher and only use them for dry foods so it works for me, but if you have pretty shaped jars, you can use food-safe paint and create your own.
This is such a helpful video! I am looking forward to implementing some of your tips. I also love your mail/key/phone holder, where did you get it from? I have been looking for something similar but haven’t found one yet. Thanks!!
Thank you! I’m so proud of my husband for making such a beautiful table. ☺️ The chairs were from Walmart 8 years ago, so I’m not sure if they would still sell them.
Thanks for the question, I painted the lids using jars from pantry items I regularly buy. It’s an easy way to make your storage match, but without having to buy lots of containers.
not me ... Nasty work is done in the morning, breakfast is at noon, followed by a shower and hair style. I wear grubby clothes for housekeeping, home repairs and messy projects, then get into nice attire after my shower. Appointments and outings are always scheduled for after noon. Unlike a neighbor of mine, all my beautiful items will stay beautiful for 20 years or more. She always struggles to find something suitable for an outing because paint or bleach spatters have marred everything she owns. Work clothes are for work, and designer duds are worn when I want to be presentable in public.
Great point! I like to wear my husband’s shirts for the dirty work because I’m nice like that. 😆 For a regular day it’s different though. Thanks for adding some valuable context.
I never wear outside clothes at home, I always change. If I'm staying at home then change fully into home clothes, like sweatpants, but if I'll be going out soon then at least take off the external layer - the skirt/pants and blouse/shirt/sweater and put a robe on (I don't know how it's called in English but it's like a bathrobe, just not necessarily for after the bath only, just something you can put on while at home, it can be made from various fabrics, not necessarily the towel-type one; does it have a name in English?).
Wow nasty little judgement of your neighbor, you are so much better than whoever that neighbor is. Reading that just made me think about myself, I hope I don't ever come across like that.
I used a chalk paint. Most chalk paints and clear wax coats are nontoxic, but it requires a wipe clean. I did NOT paint the inside of the lid, so only the outside, which doesn't touch the food, is painted. I also only use them for dry items.
The office or the pantry? Basically areas I keep closed off or don't go often. If I see it a lot, I work to keep it pretty. It can get undone, but I put it back in order faster than hidden areas.
🙋♀️Mine is the master bathroom. Hubby does not want me to tuck away his medications and hygiene products. Everything is contained, but out in the open. Gives me a little jolt of anxiety every day (I recognize I'm little off kilter, but we all have our little quirks).
@@YunuPolsen oh, I can relate to this! I'm always looking for better ways to corral items and make them look less busy. It's like toiletry and medicine packaging/branding is the worst, too! So busy and too many clashing bright colors for me. My quirks have definitely progressed as I've gotten older and learned what I like and don't like, ha!
Thanks! It’s actually a dress. It’s linked in the description box. It’s technically a maternity dress (or sleeveless dress), but it has a tie. Mine was a thrift find one size larger, but I actually think one size up worked better for me because it’s stretchy.
Hello Dear Lady, I do have a dishwasher, but with daily home cooking and then eating, I need to rinse off the dishes and pans every day even if the dishwasher is not full in one day. It most always is full by the second day. So a dishwasher is handy but it does not do the dishes and pans for you! ? ok.
Oddly it’s been the opposite for me when I’ve tried the purse method. I’ve left my house without my purse (and wallet) more than I’d like to admit. 😆 I guess it’s worth clarifying that it’s easier when we follow our natural habits.
@@YesiIbarra. I’m having trouble with leaving my cell phone at home now that it’s usually next to me on the couch. When I didn’t use it as much it stayed in my purse!
●Bathroom: If you have more than one bathroom, store a full set of bathroom cleaning supplies in each bathroom. That way you don't have to schlep them around, and everything you need is there for easy and fast touch ups if needed😊. ●Mail: Sort the mail as soon as you bring it in. Throw away all unneeded items. Place all the bills and important mail into a "To-Do" box. I covered a recycled card board box with fabric, and i keep it on my shelf. That way they are safe, together, and out of mind until you are ready to open and process them! Then when it is time to look at bills and other important mail they are all there and ready to process. I covered another box, I call the 'Done Box,' l also keep it on the shelf. When i pay a bill, I write the date, amt paid, confirmation numbers, etc. and any notes on it, then I put it in the 'Done Box' . All the paid bills are there in relative date order in case (as it happens) you need to refer to a previous month's bills. At the end of the year, pack the year's receipts and label with the year and store or file as needed.😊
I’m thinking about dressing better…maybe not like I would for a job, though. And I’m collecting some cute aprons that I can enjoy wearing around the house and keep my clothes clean.
@@YesiIbarraI always push off mail, unless it’s a bill. I found a great solution was to set up a sorting station in the office so as I get it I just put it in the right slot and when it fills up I’ll transfer it to filing boxes or recycling or the compost.
You just gave me an idea to make this sort of video specifically for families. Because you’re right, it is different with kids. We are soon to be 5 ourselves and I wish I had given myself a little more grace in the beginning.
Never ever would I make my bed. I don't spent time on unnessecary tasks or force discipline in such a way. I am not in my bedroom during the day, so I just mowe the duvets when the windows are open for ventilation and that's it.
You lost me on the first one. Since so long and everywhere, every doctor says making bed is bad for your health: bed needs to refresh and aerate after you get out. Instead you seal it with all your overnight moinsture. So gross 😢

Oh my gosh! I love your bed! Do you mind sharing where you got it? Thanks!
@@AribelTamayo Aw, thanks! We made it actually, so unfortunately I can’t give a store as reference.
@@YesiIbarra it’s beautiful! Thanks for replying.
What’s the biggest problem area in your home?
🙋♀️ Mine is definitely the mudroom.
The kitchen!
The office! We have no attic and I have years of kids memorabilia there. Working on making boxes for each so they can take it home (all adults!).
The bed need Air after sleep
U sweat if possible Air ur Dúné or planket
Y Will love the gerning of freshness in the bed.
Captioned as one minute habit but showed the thing in 16+ minutes 👏
I have a car trash can and it’s life changing.
Where did you get that shirt? LOVE IT!!!
Thanks! It’s actually a dress. It’s linked in the description box.
It’s technically a maternity dress (or sleeveless dress), but it has a tie.
Mine was a thrift find one size larger, but I actually think one size up worked better for me because it’s stretchy.
Can I ask what are those arches on the counter at 9 minutes in? Thanks.
I Think that it is a child’s wooden stacking toy rainbow.
@@dawncrossland3028 Thank you.
? ok.
Always have my keys in my purse. I don’t understand having keys on a wall. I’d go out and lock myself out!
Oddly it’s been the opposite for me when I’ve tried the purse method. I’ve left my house without my purse (and wallet) more than I’d like to admit. 😆
I guess it’s worth clarifying that it’s easier when we follow our natural habits.
@@YesiIbarra. I’m having trouble with leaving my cell phone at home now that it’s usually next to me on the couch. When I didn’t use it as much it stayed in my purse!
A bed must be aired first.
Good point! Maybe I’ll get ready first, THEN make the bed. 😁
Yes, when I get up I pull down all the covers & let it air out while I do other things, then come back& make it after awhile.
I make the bed. After I shower and use the bathroom.
I always let my bed air for awhile then make it before I leave for work.
It’s fine. I’m my 40s and haven’t died yet from lack of airing my bed lol.
Oh I love it! Those are some great ideas. Thanks for sharing! 😊
My husband makes the bed. I delegated to him and he has made it religiously ever since.
Never in my life did I leave my bed unmade. I soon will be 76.
Congratulations
Me too! Bed is made first thing.
My home is clutter free all the time, and no, I am not a freak!
Remember save your receipts , used for tax purposes . Just keep going.
Great reminder. Thanks!
I’m thinking about dressing better…maybe not like I would for a job, though. And I’m collecting some cute aprons that I can enjoy wearing around the house and keep my clothes clean.
Ohh that’s a good idea!
Hi, yes it makes you feel good! I get many good things from charity/secondhand shops.
Mail? Like actual paper mail? Does it really still exist?
Unfortunately yes! My P.O. Box is always stuffed with paper advertisements. 🤦♀️
@@YesiIbarraI always push off mail, unless it’s a bill. I found a great solution was to set up a sorting station in the office so as I get it I just put it in the right slot and when it fills up I’ll transfer it to filing boxes or recycling or the compost.
Oh yes it does and lots of it
I think you need to check your mailbox - it’s stuffed full.
It’s a different story when you have to clean up for a family of five.
You just gave me an idea to make this sort of video specifically for families. Because you’re right, it is different with kids. We are soon to be 5 ourselves and I wish I had given myself a little more grace in the beginning.
my bed is simple that i can just arrange 2 pillows...thats it😅
That’s ok! Nothing wrong with that if that’s what you like. 👍
dress up for the day and that way if you get an unwanted visitor, you can say you were just heading out for an appointment ...thank me later

Never ever would I make my bed. I don't spent time on unnessecary tasks or force discipline in such a way. I am not in my bedroom during the day, so I just mowe the duvets when the windows are open for ventilation and that's it.
Ok, but some of these are NOT 1-minute habits. If you have more than 1 snack bowl, you'll multiply those actions.
You lost me on the first one. Since so long and everywhere, every doctor says making bed is bad for your health: bed needs to refresh and aerate after you get out. Instead you seal it with all your overnight moinsture. So gross 😢
What a great show this could be! You talk way too fast. Please speak slower. ❤️❤️❤️ you seem like such a great gal. Please speak slower!!!!
You should hear me when I’m extra excited!😆 🤦♀️
I apologize. This is an area I need to work on and does not come easy unfortunately.
I blabber when I get excited.
Just click the settings in right hand corner. Then click speed. Then click 0.75 it will slow down the speed.❤
You talk too much...demo more, talk less. Much easier to watch. Edit
