The Secrets Influencers DON’T Tell (the ugly truth About Social Media & Influencing)
In a previous video, I shared how I overcame social anxiety and why I quit social media. For me, social media had become very toxic and only led me into comparison and further into consumerism. These are things most influencers don’t talk about, and traps I’ve fallen into myself. Hopefully this helps you to consume content more intentionally and to avoid comparing your own life to our FAKE highlight reels.

In order to have everlasting life you absolutely must trust in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation 💓 this means that saving repentance is turning from unbelief to belief. You either believe that Jesus paid your sin debt in full or you don't.

For me cash is free money and credit card is real money. And I feel more psychological pain spending from credit card. And in Russia it‘s so inconvenient to use cash. I want to order my groceries online or use a self service idk cash register (???) at the grocery store. And so on. I hardly remember things there it would be convenient to use cash in big cities in Russia. The cashiers don’t even have enough change most of the time

I've been watching RUclips long enough that I've figured out the "tricks". That said, I'm still human and I have to work harder to tell my brain, "this is curated, not reality". I simply do not want to have to work so hard, mentally, to counter the false messages from media. So, if a creator is just "too perfect" in their content or bombarding me with subtle messaging to overspend, I unsubscribe. One thing I find interesting is the comments section on RUclips. So, so many creators only allow comments that are 100% in agreement with their content. Even if someone's criticism is constructive, kind, or just questioning something, it's not shown to the rest of us. I've seen RUclipsrs admit this. It gives the illusion that if you do not agree with something the creator said/did, there must be something wrong with your opinion. You are the only one who has a different opinion. I could give so many examples of this where this is very psychologically damaging. It requires incredible discernment and wisdom to understand the why? why? why? of what's being presented to us. 🇨🇦♥️

Refreshing video. 😊. When I watch videos where someone is waking up or walking in the front door, I do think about how that person has to set up the camera outside, then inside or waking up in the morning, then resetting the camera after they are up. And then major editing. It’s nice to hear this … it helps the audience realize that everything is not as comfortable or as easy as the videos portray. But once they are done, for us, the videos are so much fun to watch. 😊😊

When I got custody of my grandson he was a toddler. I'm a nurse, at the time i worked nights, 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, 1 week off. I would be exhausted the week I worked. My mom and my aunt would watch him and tell me to just leave him and go home to bed but I couldn't bc he would never be home so I brought him home and would just nap on the couch while he played with his toys. His social worker came once a month and every time he came toys would be everywhere...lots of toys. I'd apologize and he would say I love seeing all the toys out, that neans he's playing and he's happy!! So mama's, dont sweat over the toys 😊

I love adding peace, stability and comfort in lives of those I love- I love being their home. I love peace in family and big risks and adventures outside of it, my mindset is that of no amount of issues warrants yelling, screaming and disrespect. I don’t buy it or practice it. The best advice I have for a good sleep health, or sleep enviroment is to unmake the bed in the morning. To let it air out and dry up from the night. Then come back to it, at least 30 minutes later, and then make the bed. I just make the bed when I put away the clean laundry. Sleep is so important for you, so prioriticing good sleep habits, and having a good and clean sleep inviroment is so important.

The things that I have been thanked for by guests in our home are: having access to tissues in every room, lamps wirh warm light and charging station by where they sleep, toothpaste/qtip/floss jars in the bathroom and that the bathroom is always clean. ❤ If they are staying the night ofcourse I always give them a little tour of the bathroom where they can find anything they may need (or forgot). The bathroom is always clutter free. Oh, and a tip that everyone enjoys is having paper towels to dry your hands in the bathroom. I put it on a paper towel holder (like the kitchen free standing ones i can out away when guests leave).

News is something I generally find out from other people. If there’s a topic I care about, then I may look it up, but most things are outside of my control, so I don’t see the point in me knowing and worrying about something I can’t change. Like COVID for example, I worked on a COVID ICU unit during that time.. the LAST thing I wanted was to hear all about it OFF the clock. It was definitely better for my mental sanity not to follow the news.

This is hard to listen to, for someone who's having very similar background. While I do rejoice for both of your stories, and am sure God is good, waiting gets painfully discouraging, I'm at the point of needing strength just to listen to other people's testimonies. Mentally I can take it, emotionally it gets bad before it goes ugly. I'm not sure I want to live like this or at all anymore.... which is ironic because Christ met me 18y ago when I was contemplating "escape" for the first time.

I send a hug to you! 🫂 I used to try to be like other people, but it always left me feeling crappy about myself. Now Jesus is my role model. I never can be perfect, but that’s not the goal. I just have to be me and be the best I can be. Your words are so kind, but self-love begins with compassion for yourself. Something that helped me is to congratulate myself EVERY single night before bed for my tiny wins. Any tiny good thing, or improvement, or lesson I learned. And any time I would say anything negative to myself, I IMMEDIATELY replaced it with encouraging words. Words have power, so speak kind words to yourself. ❤️

Hi Yesi. This video is amazing! It really hit me hard to hear you say in hospice nursing you got to treat the person and not the numbers like in the hospital. It is sad but true. I am a nursing director for an ICU and medical floor. So many times as a nurse on the floor I wanted to treat the patients better than what I was able to. Minimalism and slow living has helped me to slow down not only in my personal life but in my work. I now am able to help other nurses cope with stress and work life balance. I think in the world we get lost and sometimes it’s challenging to find our way. Thank you for sharing your videos. Very inspiring. 😊

not me ... Nasty work is done in the morning, breakfast is at noon, followed by a shower and hair style. I wear grubby clothes for housekeeping, home repairs and messy projects, then get into nice attire after my shower. Appointments and outings are always scheduled for after noon. Unlike a neighbor of mine, all my beautiful items will stay beautiful for 20 years or more. She always struggles to find something suitable for an outing because paint or bleach spatters have marred everything she owns. Work clothes are for work, and designer duds are worn when I want to be presentable in public.

Great point! I like to wear my husband’s shirts for the dirty work because I’m nice like that. 😆 For a regular day it’s different though. Thanks for adding some valuable context.

I never wear outside clothes at home, I always change. If I'm staying at home then change fully into home clothes, like sweatpants, but if I'll be going out soon then at least take off the external layer - the skirt/pants and blouse/shirt/sweater and put a robe on (I don't know how it's called in English but it's like a bathrobe, just not necessarily for after the bath only, just something you can put on while at home, it can be made from various fabrics, not necessarily the towel-type one; does it have a name in English?).

It's very important to let your bed breathe and dry out in the morning, otherwise all that moisture increases your chance of bed bugs and generally makes your bed unhealthy. We lose A LOT of moisture every night. Then at lunchtime or later, you can make it look nice for the evening.
