Aww Thank you SO much! I’ll have been working on this channel for almost 4 years soon, so knowing my content is helpful is very encouraging to me, even if the numbers don’t show it yet.❤️
      Blessing to you! 🙏

To me having a tidy, clean home is showing my gratitude for all I have worked hard for and been given, knowing that others are not as fortunate. The men and women in war torn, third world, suppressed situations would love to take a hot shower, clean their house, wash their clothes, and prepare a nutritious meal in their kitchen.

I love the way you describe it perfectly!! It ceases to be a burden when we are genuinely thankful for being ABLE to have dirty laundry (because we HAVE extra clothes), dirty plates and fridge (because it means we have food), and a bed to be able to make in the morning (because it means we have a bed).
      Well said. ❤️

    Dear Yesi,
I know I matter and I believe all you said about doing the cleaning for ourselves. I do like cleaning now that I see it as an act of love for me, my family and even my home. I'd also like to start a YT channel with this kind of cleaning and decluttering inspirational content (in spanish) but I'm afraid of what people would say about this. I think some people would see this as we're just wives doing the cleaning for their husband, abnegated woman that do what they're "supposed to do" and saying we're doing it for ourselves is just us convincing us and others it's good for us while enslaving ourselves to our home and family.
Have you ever thought of that? Do you have any advice on how to respond if someone would happen to say something like that?
    Thank you! :)
PS, I think your home is gorgeous and I really liked your video! ❤

A good way to know you're moving forward in life is when people begin to attack or criticize you. Some people want to build the biggest building by tearing someone else's down because of their own insecurity. Do NOT ever let what others think stop you from doing what you feel called to do. Any attack you're given, turn it into inspiration for another video.
That being said, have compassion for those that WILL criticize you. It's not an "if" it's a "when."
Some people have been wounded, betrayed, and hurt - and their defense mechanism is to attack what feels uncomfortable. Don't take things personal.
You can't change how others act, but you choose your response. Go for it!! We need more channels like this in Spanish.

@@YesiIbarra Thank you!! Even your comments are so inspiring 🙌 It's SO true, we can control only our actions and how we respond to other's. I'm starting to work on it, hopefully I'll upload a video soon. Thanks for your kind words and hope you keep growing and bringing your knowledge and experience over here ❣️

She’s only 5 🤷‍♀️ How can she even handle a broom or whatever well enough to sweep properly? If she’s willing to try, let that be enough, plz. I’ve been married for 32 yrs. & altho’ my hubby is very caring & a good provider, as well as generous, he’s never been much for cleaning or straightening up - even his own areas. I let that go for a long time, but finally decided I needed to confront the issues for my own self-respect. Why should I continue picking up & cleaning up after him as if he were a child, for 20 + yrs.?? It wasn’t easy getting him to turn around, but come to find out he DID feel guilty ~~ he was just following behaviors his father displayed with his wife, my husband’s Mom. He’s learning to help more now, & learning more respect both for me & himself. It’s very positive 🤗
Now, why do u speak almost in a whisper?? Your intentions are well-founded, I’m sure, & you seem very kind ~ but too indulgent of your hubby 😉 Just my take on things ~

Thanks for allowing me to clarify the points I failed to describe appropriately.
The simple answer is that it's not about perfection, but discipline. I frequently tell them (and show them) that our family is a TEAM. I use this word often because though we may have different roles, no one is more important than the other.
My little ones help with lots of things like cleaning baseboards, wiping counters, and putting laundry in the drier. With a positive, grateful attitude, it fosters a feeling of confidence in themselves and it gives them the first-hand experience that THEY are also responsible for taking care of the home and the world around them - like picking up trash in a park.
Kids can do SO MUCH more than we give them credit for sometimes. Also, there's kid-sized tools of all sorts! (Like small brooms, mini rakes, and wheelbarrows.)
So it's not about "what" is done by "who," but what attitude its done with.
In this video, I'm talking about resentment. Attitude changes everything. 😊

Cleaning a spotless house is easy
    Isn’t it?

    • @YesiIbarra
      @YesiIbarra  8 месяцев назад +5

Cleaning a “decluttered” home is easier.
I wouldn’t use the word “easy” as it implies little effort, but definitely easier than when my closets were stuffed full and I couldn’t find things because I had too much to manage.
I have small kids, so it’s a daily thing for me, but definitely easier/faster than it used to be.

You shouldn't have to ask your husband to clean up. You shouldn't have to clean up other people's mess as an act of love, or 'for yourself.' I hope that the internalised patriarchy reveals itself to you, and you come to realise that an act of love for yourself would be to hold healthy boundaries around how your partner (and age-appropriately, your children) respect the shared space that is your home. You are doing a lot of valuing others and valuing your home ... what is the rest of the family valuing?
