How the hell did I get here?
Dueling banjos took me here...dunno about you.
Got here from Bad Piper playing Thunderstruck.
I got here from Thunderstruck on accordion..
Started out I was listening to the Sounds of Silence
bro.... me 2
no kidding
Ik everyone's talking about their timing being off but can we just take a minute to appreciate the creativity and energy
Nope that's too much time.
Yeppers
Timing off? Fa. It's rock'n'roll, you want to timing to be a bit uncertain. Adds to the tension and release.
@@wzardglick except its not rock 'n' roll. its a percussion ensemble, not a rock band. also thats not even true for a rock band anyway
Exactly..thanku
This goes to how AC/DC and Rock-n-Roll has enfluenced every generation since they first took the stage. Rock on 🤘
Did they really enfluence every generation, or did they onfluence every generation? 🤔
Did you mean to say effluence... ie SH%$TE or INfluenced?
@@derekmcnulty2559 as short as it is, this comment section made my head hurt.... lmao
Garry Moore .If your an AC/DC fan check out. 2Cellows - Thunderstruck (LIVE) & Highway To Hell on RUclips.
You say AC/DC and Rock influenced generations and AC/DC is very heavily influenced by blues...Ironic ain't it?
Awesome idea and execution. Loved every bit of it. More power to such youngsters. Rock on! On whatever instruments you pick up.
These are kids, given tools to be passionate about music, allowing them to play because they love it. Some of which, not typical instruments either. I think it’s amazing, for them, and for what they now may want to pass on to their kids one day.
It’s a shame that so many people have negative thoughts or comments on this.
1. There are barely any negative comments
2. Some of these instruments the 'kids' are playing on, are 20 thousand dollars. They clearly know what they are doing, even just judging from the like 100k in equipment on the stage lol.
3. The instruments aren't unusual for a percussion ensemble
We all saw School of Rock, bro
At least they arent frikken lunkheads throwing around a football being treated like some sort of conquering hero.
scrolling down I can't see one negative comment.
I’m confused how are those not typical instruments you find them in most ensembles Ik because I play percussion and these are some of the most used besides like drum set but it rly depends on the genre
The marimbas and xylophones sounded like rain drops the drums were the THUNDER
This ACDC song was begging to be played this way☺️
ummmm, no
@@davidfarish4413 umm yes the only rendition more awesome than this was the bagpipes version
I can't even. This is insane. I can't get enough. These kids are AMAZING!!!!!
Yes thet is true
Love it! AC/DC equals my youth. I'm 60 now and as a teacher I'm always (thunder) struck :-) when I notice that my YOUNG students know AC/DC. World class.
This sounds like AC/DC played by the Sugar Plum Fairies
This is the best and most accurate comparison I've ever seen in my whole life
HAHAHAHAHA INDEED
I literally spit out my coffee when I read that 😂
Yeah, stoned.
If a fairy got kicked in the plums, that would sound better.
The Irony: The Song is written for guitar, and the guy who play the guitar is not in time... not once lol
I can (for the most part) just barely hear him, too
I don't think anyone's in time.
I thought the same thing too. I haven't played in 10 years and I KNOW I can play better than that guy!
Dawn Chérie Woodworth The conductor isn’t doing shit lol
Guitar? I think I missed that part.
This is an absolutely awesome rendition of one of my favorite rock anthems. This put a big smile on my face after a stressful day. I see such wonderful things on RUclips.
There is something about this song that makes me start head banging no matter what instruments are used to play it
Someone's teacher watched School of Rock one too many times.
Lmao.to funny
Na just people having fun
Me: “ Mom can we can buy a AC/DC album?
Mom: “ We have AC/DC at home.
AC/DC at home: That...
What A fucking comment lol
So you take in both holes?
im late to the party but its still funny! 😂
that’s one expensive ACDC
That was extremely beautiful. The sounds were perfect but the best part was seeing our children really having some clean fun. They were having the best time of their lives and didn’t know it. Thanks for sharing something good in today’s world
That was awesome, I can only guess how much fun they had getting ready for this, Great job by all
fantastic.. but it does need more COWBELL
about 10% I'd say
Do you have a fever? Because we all know the prescription..... :-)
I got cow bell fever
@@citytechguayana7900 , how high is your fever?
"explore the space, I need more cowbell!"
I realize I’m late to the party and I have no idea how I got here, but that was awesome! Great job on my favorite song.
On occasion You Tube provides a dusting of inspiration.
You got here taking a wrong turn, always enjoy those rides, as they are often the best ones.
The percussion section of the orchestra is my favorite by far. These guys are something else I love it. They had me laughing so hard all I can say is too cool.
My favorite is the timpani! Two of my kids were in the percussion section. It was awesome to hear them play.
@@_dejaye__805 I love the timpani too.
This was the kind of stuff we talked about doing in band and I applaud these kids for doing an awesome job! 🎶🖤🎶🖤🎶
I like how even though I don't speak Spanish, I know he said "No, not rock. Baroque." or some such.
It's a funny way to say the word baroque. ;)
Not Rock, BaRock
Y wea.
I thought he said drugs😂
Baroque is actually a french word, yet English-speakers use it and rock and roll was an American creation. Music notation rarely uses any other language than italian... music is translingual. In other words, it doesn't matter what language you speak, if you're talking about music, you'll be using the same words as anyone else.
Oh look, a percussive guitar
Nemesis_Reloaded-Icbal The rarest of guitars
Agreed, They could have at least used a MalletKat
Nemesis_Reloaded-Icbal hahahahaha I was about to say the same thing lol
is a electric bass...
As a bass player, you would be surprised by the things I hear daily xD
Rafa Navarro!!! SUPER ARTISTA!! te sigo en youtube y eres de lo mejor que un percusionista o musico puede ver.... PERCUFEST! ENHORABUENA por el super festival.... genial
🤟 8 years later and it can only continue to inspire. Young adults now(vs teens then) they have moved onto the riggers of making ends meet in a job someplace. But this memory will live forever in those that were fortunate to have witnessed the talent brought together here.
Needs more cowbell.
Что за хуйня отредактировали хотя бы
Omg, hilarious
Zach Turner im dead
Well played.
Zach Turner o
I love the youtube rabbit hole. find some awesome content :)
Pffff nice joke dude...
I'm not a percussionist or much of a metal guy, but that was highly entertaining and very well done!
no it wasnt
Sensacional, algo inédito e muito bem executado... Parabéns ao maestro e todos os músicos geniais. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
right on
For the percussion instruments they played, it sounded heavenly, proud these kids attempted it, loved it!!!!
IMO they did a rlly good job. I liked the merge between the gentle soothing of the marimbas and xylophone and the rlly sharp strong sound of the drums, they complemented the song welll if u ask me.
Music it's great isnt it ?? So many different ways to enjoy the experience. Brilliant love it
"rock no, baroque!" Great to be young. Muy bien chicos.
AWESOME❗❗❗
I got here from “James Bond Theme on the Boomwhackers”..... why
LMAOOO SAME
clearlyc0nfus3d same
Me from bohemian rhapsody by boomwhackers
clearlyc0nfus3d lol same
Same
Let's be honest here, *no one liked the guitarist's timing*
It was so bad my watch lost track of time.... If he took the headband off maybe he would have worked it out...
The guatarist was fine. It's how the sheet music is for the song. I play guitar trombone and the drums...
It’s disgusting it makes me want to barf.
@@bambamlachenmaier723 It may have been what he thought was written
I got to the comment and the guitarist started and god said ''let there be school shootings''.
That. Was. Awsome! Wish there were more things like this in high school and college. Learn the classics, but also do fun things.
A neighbor kid that lived across the street from where I used to live had a garage band. One of his friends could double-finger the Thunderstruck intro.
Also check out "Thunderstruck" by The Two Cellos. These guys continued down that road.
@@rabiatorthegreat6163 And don't forget the bagpiper who plays with fire.
The whole world would be a better place if music and music appreciation was taught in every school.
The song gets really good at 8:12
Ethan Upson best comment!
HAHAHAHAH
Totalmente de acuerdo
Thanks mate 👍
Thank you
Sorprendente, fascinante y lo mejor es que ofrece un camino creativo poco explorado...me lleno de motivaciones nuevas y corro a mi piano con un entusiasmo quemante y lucido...
This video is like an IHOPs at 3 AM after a long night of drinking out downtown. It starts off good then you end up there just to be pleasantly surprised how good the food tastes there when you're drunk.
Beautiful rendition In a classical manner!!!
Congratulations to you all beautiful job!!
It's been a long time since I've heard this instruments and thank you to the instructor conductor
That’s amazing 🤩 Thanks for liking my aspiration and never giving up on my aspirations .I’m so pleased with the love and support you’ve showered on me that makes me feel really good..I hope you don’t stop listening to my song 🎧 🎵 have you been to my concert before?
Thank you Rock and Roll for transcending so many generations! And to the all the people that keep this alive, well done SIr.
I honestly skipped to the end because the whole intro was so underwhelming, but after reading all these comments about the guitar I went back to listen, and wow this is truly amazing stuff
Yep, that audience are bored!!!!
Watching this tells me one thing, we as people need to work the same way these instruments are working....all working together to create something amazing.
Merecem um bilhao de likes👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
A whole new take on the song that is just marvelous! Well done. Bravo!
Me, knowing nothing about music: "Hey this is pretty cool!"
*After reading comments*
"Their timing is trash I can do better in my sleep with my recorder"
I’m a percussionist. Didn’t sound bad at all!

I liked it very much
Hear it again, its not extremly bad, but you can hear often a dissmatch
@@alexwinchell2930 I hear no snare, no Treble, guitar riffs were completely off.
Love the costumes, you guys were quite grand.....lovely!!!!
Thank you once again for listening to my music and never giving up on my music , if you don't mind me adding you to my special fans club where you can get updates on concerts and short conversation .. How long have you been my fan ??

Ian Carpenter lmao, you’ve been thunderstruck!
lol best comment on here
I laughed a little too loud on this one.
Ian Carpenter 😂😂😂😂
You win
A teacher was trying to get his students excited about instruments.... good for them!!!!
Failed miserably but shure
the first time i heard this played, if i remember it was played live in a club and it was amazing....no AC/DC but a very good band who did not adulterate the music. hearing this sort of brings it all back...good times way back when
RUclips suggested this - I'm impressed. Thanks for posting, great fun.
I need the “ah-ah”part to feel complete.
Rick K AHHHH HAAAAA HAAAA AHHHHH YOU’VE BEEN THUNDERSTRUCK
I’m sure that it was phenomenal to actually be there. The sound on my iPhone doesn’t do this justice.
Head phones Man only way to get full effect of music especially the bass line.
There was a bass line?
Iphone's are made with Samsung parts, get a Samsung phone outright, it'll sound better, promise!!

Anyone else hear the constant wrong note on marimba- drove me nuts
Muito irritante!
Sim, muito irritante.
I don't even know what a marimba is :D
and the guitar that has given a lot of mishaps.
@@Cydonius1 really big wooden xylophone
Awesome rendition...truly inspired! ;-)
This made my students perk up and pay attention! Not an easy thing to do with inner city kids!
Espectáculo total! Felicitaciones!! Desde Colombia:)
Es mejor escuchar la pura marimba guatemalteca.
3:50 Thunderstruck
Antonio Fco Casaburi Jr yes dick nose it's in the title
He might have been trying to give people a shortcut to bypass the prelude. Happens in the comments a lot.
I will not, child. and I don't have bitch tits yet. Don't be an ass when someone tries to help you.
thorr18BEM youre both idiots for replying to a year old comment
lemon army Some one's been learning bad words
I think they did a friggin AWESOME JOB !
Hard to put that all together
Check out their shirts at the end, nice!! Wonderfully produced and executed.
I arrived here cos i have been wstching lots of videos of MayTree and youtube recommend this
From scale of 1 to 10 I'll give this one a solid
Meh
My ears hurt from the timing being off
How can anyone go on stage with this super-bad timing? Everybody here seems to never have heard of something like a metronome.
Most amateur school bands play this piece better in time than these guys. What kind of 'percussion'-festival is this?
As a musician (bass & guitar) I have a bad case of second hand shaming here.
Go back to being irrelevant in this world.
Os meus também.
This is hard to listen it just sounds wrong, it's soo out of time.
Good on them, this is as inventive a cover of “Thunderstruck” as I think I’ve heard. Great job!
Клёвые ребята. И так мне нравиться как всё сделали! Спасибо!perfect! Cool!
Me: Just a few videos before i go to sleep..
Next minute: One sheep, two sheep... THUNDERSTRUUUUCK !!!
This best evlevator music ever .
🤘🏻 Awesome performance! Banging my head! ❤
Great rendition loved it all!
The potential was there, but the execution sadly wasn't.
It should've been way faster, and way more tight (thinking of the drummer(s) here..).
foxdk Marimba is hard fast
I'm aware. I have played in quite a few marimba ensembles myself.
That still doesn't change the fact that this was too slow.
The original piece from AC/DC runs at a steady 133 bpm, which makes it lively and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
This cover was dragging its ass along the pavement, sinking as low as 125 bpm at times.
I play a lot of instruments, but my main call in life is as the drummer.
The last decade of me playing drums, has taught me that the number one important thing in any song, is keeping the tempo right.
This ensemble did not manage to do that, even though the thought was spot on.
foxdk I'm with you, to me the guitarist was completely out of sync. and the bass player could not stay in the pocket at all. that being said I do applaud their attempt.
Yeah, the glockenspiel would get off every now and again, and the boards had issues staying together. I the guitars would go in between staying with the groove and just doing there own things. And while it is hard to play marimba fast, it is still necessary for a song like this.
You did very well, I like that a lot. Thanks
whoever said to play this @ 1.25x speed is
The Real Legend!!!

To do AC/DC is not easy! God Bless all these youngins! ❤️
This was freaking AWESOME. We never did anything like this in Junior high or High school. But that was likr 45 years ago. I really enjoyed this, Thank You for sharing.
These young individuals have done very well. It sounds like they had some fun coming up with the concept... and executing it.
