There is a great video of this drumline (Top Secret Drum Corps) doing a joint performance with the drums from the Band of the Royal Marines absolutely fantastic!
Discipline and Dedication!!! Two things sadly lacking in today's world. Two qualities that will serve these young people well throughout their lives. Well done!!
This drumming must be the ultimate passion of these young people. They are truly amazing! The precision shows you what dedication and practice produce. BRAVO!!!
This truly is the best drum line ever. Not a miss in sight. Will have to watch this over and over just to analyze the drum sticks alone, let alone the other parts. Wow.
But if you watch carefully everyone has two sticks again by the end. They must have stowed backups in their uniforms just in case-- and someone managed to grab the replacement without losing synchrony. That's the most astonishing recover I think I've ever seen!!
Most people do not know how difficult this is unless you've done it. It only takes 1 person not stepping off in time or 1 second late and everyone sees it. Amazing!
Agreed, I have done it and know how incredibly difficult this is. I've never seen a drumline this good. However...I did see a stick on the deck. Just sayin'
I’ve seen this video multiple times and what still amazes me is the precise height of their drumsticks throughout- everyone is the same. Incredible! Absolutely love watching! ❤

They must practice 23 hours out of 24, 7 days a week! Like one smooth, precise, moving machine! I could watch you kids all day! GREAT JOB !!! l, Oh, yeah.....and I did not see ONE mistake or out of time move! Amazing!
I did see one flag handler reach up to straighten his flag. I don't know if that's what they are told to do or what... But this is so precise that something so simple sticks out. But I would never hold that against them.
They’re Perfect right down to the uniform, which I think aids in them, appearing to be more of a machine than a human!! Love it when they tilt those ploom feather hats!!
Thry did an amazing job! As for the triggered lights i thought of this years ago for a drumset then use them during the drum solo. Awesome very talented drummers in this video!! Im jealous 😉👍

This my friend, is Drum Corp! It's like marching band, but everyone is super angry, it's 105 degrees, and you're surrounded by the best of the best. I loved marching band, just a different thing
It’s one thing to have talent. It’s a whole other thing for so much talent to be able to share the stage with such impeccable coordination and skill. Being great on your own is one thing. Playing so well with others gives the individual’s talent meaning on an entirely different level. It’s a great example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts, as great as those parts are. I’m very glad I got to see this. Thank you for posting!
The Swiss Drum Corp was formed in 1990 by enthusiastic drummers from the Swiss city of Basel. The tradition dates back to the Middle Ages. This is the most incredible drumming formation I have ever seen. Let us not forget that the soldiers who protect His Holiness the Pope are Swiss guards. Their colorful uniform was originally designed by the Renaissance artist Michelangelo. Thank you for posting.
They practice endlessly at home. The only thing I can add is, how do they practice the stick tossing at home? 😕 it's necessary to have someone equally experienced to catch & toss them back & in rythym?
Perfect. This is my favorite type of music. We were introduced to this when our daughter played in a drum and bugle corp in Pittsburgh. I’m in agreement with the person who believes that the tasteless trashy Super Bowl shows should be replaced with real talent such as this!
Anyone that put a thumbs down must either be jealous or a Jerk! These young men must have practiced for hours and hours to get this sooo perfect. I think they are all awesome!!!
Well some years ago we were at Indianapolis to watch bands. In the halftime a drum corps came on the field and entertained us with the most cadence. I never forget how amazing they were 🤗
@@50buttfish Say fishy, why is it when someone has a different opinion they are labeled haters? How in the world does this get hate? I'm not in drum line but I'm a drummer and this is crazy awesome...whoever is hating is either a prodigy who can do better or jealous. If you can do better, then that obviously means you are/were in drumline so it's sad to see you tear down another drummer.

Many people miss the fact that during the sequence at 5:00 every drummer is playing his drum, PLUS the one on EACH SIDE, WITH BOTH HANDS. Perfect synchronicity. This clip is from the 2012 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (the 60th anniversary of Elizabeth II's reign)
Ah, they are favourites at the Royal Military Tattoo, but they are not British. They are actually from Switzerland and are called 'The Top Secret Drum Corps'. The British drum Corps are the 'Royal Marines Corps of Drums'. Very good also, but a bit more 'stiff upper lip' than these guys who add a little fun and panache to their performance. Edit: There would be a monumental outcry if the Superbowl Halftime performance was not from the USofA.z

Annie Corvin I agree wholeheartedly....as a boy I joined my local army cadet corps at 13 years old...kinda like the scouts etc...I became a corporal at 16 & was part of the rifle drill team & my skills at throwing a rifle in the air & catching the guys I front of you was razor sharp.....I'm now a lot older & would probably break bones if I tried it now...lol
If these guys walked out onto a battlefield between two armies before the fighting starts, and did their routine, there would be no battle. The enemy would just refuse to attack a bunch of guys who have so much skill and talent.
@Finn Holly What do you recommend the band leaders wear? Acrobatic wear, clown costumes, farmers' overalls, firefighters' helmets, bakers' hats, moon boots, polo shirts, police uniforms... there's endless possibilities, right?
My highschool marching band won state and we practiced some way shape or form every day and had the entire week of bandcamp etc. The post-highschool drum corps do it full time. Lots of hard work and they pay for the privilege IIRC.
I took my son and his best friend to the Southeast Drum Corps International Competition in Atlanta, GA. They worked the competition for DCI and we were asked by one of the Drum corps if we would like to see what it’s like being on the road performing and practicing and living a highly disciplined life at these Pre Competition facilities. They slept in a high school gymnasium and used their football/practice fields for practice and training. My Army basic training was easier than their training. They are seriously dedicated individuals.
A precission machine! Emotionally stirring! Awe inspiring! Congrats to them and their band leader for their constant practice, dedication and pride in their performance. Outstanding!
Am a HUGE. fan of drum lines and performances! This is the best ever! These band members have put in an outrageous amount of time and effort to pull this off in such an incredible manner! Thank everyone who made this possible for anyone who watches them!
That’s pretty damn amazing. I thought playing college baseball and 95+ mph fastballs were tough. These dudes would have made any army run for the hills and lay down their arms, 150+ years ago. Can’t stop watching.
When I was young, my father used to record drum and bugle competitions on reel to reel tapes. He would later play the recordings back on the stereo in the living room. It was like hearing the bands marching from one end of the room to the other. Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories.
👍Back in the days when bands performed ON THE FIELD in competition was something to see, the tenors, snares, bass and kettle drums and the horn line! I played in one in the 60s-70s it was great!!!
That was the best drumu line I have ever seen and I was in a drumu corp for 6 years and never witnessed anything as amazing or I would have stayed in, loved it!!!!!!!
I just loved this! I was a twirler in my high school marching band so I appreciate the very hard, hard work this took to perform a flawless presentation. Just amazing!😅
They’re famous! Top Secret Drum Corps from Switzerland. You can see them each year in Edinburgh performing in the Military Tattoo. As reliable as a Swiss timepiece!
Thanks, I wondered where they were from. Thinking Bavaria (close). I played snare drum in a Highland Pipe band but never imagined anything on this level.
My admiration and deep respect go out to these dedicated musicians. And It's the Santa Clara Vanguard I believe. I have their training and performances it's just they've been in storage and I forgot their name. For a minute.....
That is absolutely lately the best thing I have ever seen!!! They take this so seriously. The hours of practice that it must have taken for that one peformance is mind boggling. Every hand- every drum stick- every foot- every head- perfectly aligned. That's the kind of dedication I would love to see in all of our young people (and not so young people). Amazing. Great job, fellas!
I used to compete in Drum and Bugle Corps when I was younger and even now in my mid fifties... I get nervous and then crazy excited and then... so... just caught up in the adrenaline rush of knowing all the hard work is FINALLY paying off AND you've got the crowd along for the ride... WHEW! I CRY EVERY TIME! What a feeling of accomplishment!
I too competed in D&B Corp when I was younger and what an appreciation II have for the incredible talent, discipline, teamwork and skill that goes into this. THEY WERE AMAZING!
Wow, that was incredible. As a drummer back in my high school marching band days we did some great routines. But nothing that even comes close to this spectacular one. I'm in awe and so jealous at the same time. Amazing!!!!
I saw River Dance …these guys put that to shame! The music cut out on the performance and the dancers were off…I think it was rigged? Hard to know whose real these days
To all of you haters out there, just think of how hard it is to play a 16th, 32nd, and triplet pattern. Now imagine doing that while walking in precise patterns to within 3 inches. Now imagine that you are counting time while you are doing all of this and there is a deafening noise all around you. I'd like to see you try and do this good.
Better to put these guys in the Superbowl halftime show and save us the torture of having to endure another pop star. This is REAL talent.
Indeed ! 😯💞💞💞
I cannot agree with you more!
They'd do society a great benefit if they showed the halftime show of college games on TV instead of more commercials.

One guys feather was at a slight different angle than the other guys perfectly aligned feathers. That's the only thing I could find.
Amazing it was only him.
yeah.. me to.. exactly
Agreed. I can't imagine how much practice that took to get to that level of coordination. Incredible!
Hell yeah!
Imagine having worked very very hard for many years and finding yourself the nr 2 drum corps. Arhg.
I was a snare drummer at East Carolina...
Then went on to graduate from the Naval School of Music and marched with the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps (Albany Georgia...MCLB).....BUT I'VE NEVER seen such a performance.....
This is on a whole new level.....WOW
thanks for sharing
There is a great video of this drumline (Top Secret Drum Corps) doing a joint performance with the drums from the Band of the Royal Marines absolutely fantastic!
NAB little creek? What year?FYi - Marine Drum & Bugle Corps is in DC @ 8th & I (The Commandants Own).
Nothing is better than the best USMC corps, nothing, zip, nada. Nothing against these guys, but the Marines deal will a good bit more than sticks!
@@NM-js8ky I’m a Marine.
Who gives a shit
Discipline and Dedication!!! Two things sadly lacking in today's world. Two qualities that will serve these young people well throughout their lives. Well done!!
This drumming must be the ultimate passion of these young people. They are truly amazing! The precision shows you what dedication and practice produce. BRAVO!!!
This truly is the best drum line ever. Not a miss in sight. Will have to watch this over and over just to analyze the drum sticks alone, let alone the other parts. Wow.
They dropped one stick when they were throwing it. I was afraid one of them is going to slip on it when they were going backwards.
Well rehearsed!
@Omega Mark from watching this, I wouldn't be surprised if they instinctually knew exactly where it was even walking backwards! 🤯
WOW!
Watch it half speed
But if you watch carefully everyone has two sticks again by the end. They must have stowed backups in their uniforms just in case-- and someone managed to grab the replacement without losing synchrony. That's the most astonishing recover I think I've ever seen!!
Most people do not know how difficult this is unless you've done it. It only takes 1 person not stepping off in time or 1 second late and everyone sees it. Amazing!
Agreed, I have done it and know how incredibly difficult this is. I've never seen a drumline this good. However...I did see a stick on the deck. Just sayin'
billvill61 ive definitely seen drumlines better than this
@@dbnois3 no you havent
daniel walker oh ok i guess you’re right then
@@dbnois3 link it or gtfo
I’ve seen this video multiple times and what still amazes me is the precise height of their drumsticks throughout- everyone is the same. Incredible! Absolutely love watching! ❤
In my band, we were taught to bring the stick to a certain level after you strike. So it looks uniform.
They should be Very proud of what they have done. A lot of work gone into this.
Coming from a drummer of 45 plus years....these guys are very well synced!! One of the best I've seen!!
That was crazy!! Having been in Ceremonial Honor Guard in the military, this is really good. Glad someone recorded this
FAN-FRICKIN-TASTIC! I am so proud of these kids, and I don't even know them! What an honor it must be to be chosen and become a part of this incredible line! They must practice 23 hours out of 24, 7 days a week! Like one smooth, precise, moving machine! I could watch you kids all day! GREAT JOB !!!
l,
Oh, yeah.....and I did not see ONE mistake or out of time move! Amazing!
You didn’t see one because there wasn’t one. They absolutely smashed this out the park. Fair play to ‘em.
Love it when they tilt those ploom feather hats!!
one dropped stick......still didnt miss a beat!!! awesome!!!
Thry did an amazing job! As for the triggered lights i thought of this years ago for a drumset then use them during the drum solo.
Awesome very talented drummers in this video!! Im jealous 😉👍
This actually made me cry!
The dedication alone I got all emotional and to be a parent to one of these players have to be so proud of him! I'm proud of all of these guys. The hours upon hours to get it to this perfection and the lead Coordinator...BRAVO!
☮️💜🤘
That's just being a normal swiss citizen tho. Sorry your standards are so low.
I am a mother of one of them and I am very proud, but even happier for him that he is so dedicated and focused and is having so much fun. ❤😊
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Absolutely amazing. So many truths about life can be drawn from this performance. Excellence, cooperation, self-sacrifice, the power of working together through the highest of individual achievement. I was literally moved to tears.
@@CookingWithCowsdamn why are people in this video saltier and more sour than average? Tf
@@CookingWithCows I'm a proud American U.S.A. all the way. My standards as a musician, I play guitar and drums, are extremely high. That being said this drumline is among the best I have seen in my fifty years in music.
PURE magic. !2 drummers are just like ONE BODY. Thank you for the show
Having played in a marching band, this goes beyond anything I thought was possible. I would think this team won!
This my friend, is Drum Corp! It's like marching band, but everyone is super angry, it's 105 degrees, and you're surrounded by the best of the best. I loved marching band, just a different thing
Who can do better? Just a phenomenal experience of human excellence. BRAVO
This is how I mow.
No kidding. This is the GOAT of all high school band performances.
I can't imagine how many hours of practice they put into that. Those kids are amazing!
They're a professional drumming group. They've been around since 1990, probably not kids.
@@twent19 I thought they were high school.,still pretty amazing.
10 minutes a day. _EVERY_ day. It’s all about commitment.
@@alitlweird 10 minutes??? Why so long? I workout 5 minutes, everyday, and I look like Arnold in his prime! 💪
I think they have day jobs too.
At last ... a "best ever" video on RUclips that actually IS the best ever!!
You said it all!!!
Right!!
100%
Definitely
Yeah, no hyperbole here. What a nice change. Amazing drumline, great experience.
Yes Superbowl here they come!! They are ready!!! Love thus! Spectacular talent! And awesome drummers! AMAZING TALENT!
The choreography was amazing, the sound was spectacular. Wow!!!
2021 and this is bloody fantastic; made me forget all the crap we're force fed for a few minutes. Thank you.
Also here in 2021, cheers!
1990 is the middle ages? Wow, I must be ancient.
no he meant the drumming tradition in basel dates back to the middleages
I believe that other person said something along the lines of DOH
Hey thats pretty cool, so these guys are part of an ancient drumline
+Angelo Orcales (ForeignKnife) ore on youtube "swiss junior drum show"
Amazing performance… it truly is amazing what mankind can do when we work together. Governments take note!
These guys are fabulous!!! Put them in superbowl halftime. No more rap crap.
They are the best drum line ever anywhere! Best of the best
Great love them! Great showmanship!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Halftime at the super bowl. Would be nice but they're not gay enough transgender enough black enough and woke enough.
You're absolutely right! Really entertaining, and amazing!
I’d much rather listen to “rap crap” than drum lines. And I say that as a math rock fan
l turn halftime on SB off because rappers are crappers. Please no more rap no talents.
My very first thoughts were .....How many countless hours of practice must have taken place!
Bravo, Bravo!
This was simply awesome!
Percussion Ling-Lings. Practice 40 hours per day. TwoSet Violins need to see this!!
Hello Deborah
How are you doing today?
The choreographer is brilliant! The squad is amazing!
Anyone that put a thumbs down must either be jealous or a
Jerk! These young men must have practiced for hours and hours to get this sooo perfect. I think they are all awesome!!!
Well some years ago we were at Indianapolis to watch bands. In the halftime a drum corps came on the field and entertained us with the most cadence. I never forget how amazing they were 🤗
Agreed! The amount of discipline and practice and imagination that goes into this is something to be immensely proud of!
Drum Corp is SUPER competitive, probably a bunch of folks from other very good drum corps throwin' shade.
The HATERS can't play, that's why they HATE!
@@50buttfish Say fishy, why is it when someone has a different opinion they are labeled haters? I happen to think these guys were marvelous and gave a thumbs up but I don't have any ill feelings for those with contrasting opinions. Seems like the world has become so intolerant and quick to label those who disagree. pity.
How in the world does this get hate? I'm not in drum line but I'm a drummer and this is crazy awesome...whoever is hating is either a prodigy who can do better or jealous. If you can do better, then that obviously means you are/were in drumline so it's sad to see you tear down another drummer.
+Loading I have it on good authority that the haters are Professional Mercenaries hired by DCI.fans when they saw that this got six million views and started crying and then went ballistic.
Thank you for identifying them; I was reading through all comments in the hope someone would do just that. I am in awe.
Thank you for the information. I wondered where they were from.
@@coolhand1964hat's to bad they cant do our SuperBowl...guess our drummers better drummer up! Cause a show like this could put the inspiring back in the game 😉
Truly what a honor what these drummers represent then! Thanks for addressing who they are..it means that much more to know who we are actually admiring!
I’ve been to the Tattoo a few times. It’s always fascinating, but this is totally hypnotic.
Absolutely the best 🥁 line, marching band I've EVER SEEN 🥁 WOW 👏 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍

yes.
Exactly, thats why im sitting in wheelchair.. So I can chew bubblegum!
Hahaha 🤣

Skill isn't just in sports. Marching bands, drumlines, etc have skill too. This is the proof! ✅
I've never seen a drumline like this tho! This is Top Drawer All Star.
Annie Corbin..:: Everything Human beings do takes skill... Everything. !!
@@carolmiller5713 Not bad, but I think this is a bit better. ruclips.net/video/Bp6hfJQ8GCQ/видео.html
This IS a sport. By any definition.
If these guys walked out onto a battlefield between two armies before the fighting starts, and did their routine, there would be no battle. The enemy would just refuse to attack a bunch of guys who have so much skill and talent.
Amen....i was thinking the same thing!!!💖🙏🥰
Thats how battles should be done!🙏
@Finn Holly I thought the outfits worked as they were going for a Musketeers theme
Rhythm and timing!
@Finn Holly What do you recommend the band leaders wear? Acrobatic wear, clown costumes, farmers' overalls, firefighters' helmets, bakers' hats, moon boots, polo shirts, police uniforms... there's endless possibilities, right?
Almost 10 years later and this is still super impressive!
Put these guys in the superbowl halftime and screw the game.
Sun Search for spots
For sure...
Put super bowl in at halftime and have these guys play either side of halftime
Sun Search what is 'superbowl'
Without the Super Bowl, there will be no halftime show you stupid fucking dumbass
Never watched a drumline in my life. This was completely off the charts. Can you imagine how many hours of practice this took?!
Hours & hours & hours and MORE hours!
It took 97.3 hours of practice.............I looked it up
My highschool marching band won state and we practiced some way shape or form every day and had the entire week of bandcamp etc. The post-highschool drum corps do it full time. Lots of hard work and they pay for the privilege IIRC.
I was a drummer in marching band and these people are light years ahead of us is still cool to hear and see
I took my son and his best friend to the Southeast Drum Corps International Competition in Atlanta, GA.
Really really impressive! Worth watching at anytime!
I agree with inviting them to a Superbowl halftime show so the US can see what perfection truly is! !
We already know what perfection is. It’s called DCI
I used to love the marching bands at halftime shows. So wonderful and much better than what we have now. This was amazing. Thanks for posting it.
Class group of people who are professional.
Truly amazing
I prefer now.
I would love to see the Marching Bands come back to the Super Bowl 1/2 time. I’ll cast my vote for a -Yes-[ x ]
Impressive! I remember having my daughter 4 years in marching band. It requires discipline, commitment, and dedication.
The dedication and work that went into this is mind blowing.
Team work is amazing!! Great job!
This is Swiss Military Drumm band. The best of the best, just like how they make their watches --with the highest level of precision.
A precission machine!
Emotionally stirring!
Awe inspiring!
Congrats to them and their band leader for their constant practice, dedication and pride in their performance.
Outstanding!
Hello Anita

Wow you don't get that GOOD without a lot of hard work and practice...great job and great video ...thanks so much !!!

I was in a drum line in high school, and let me tell you something - Them boys been practicing! 🥁
Amazing. The devotion; the stunning precision; the utter love of drumming. Absolutely heart-warming.
Any decent high school open class snareline could do that lol
And a whole lot cleaner than them too
