Ahh yes blue man group, the group we as a band went to see in Florida, the group we didn’t know used strobe lights (I have epilepsy) I had a jacket in me to cover my face but that didn’t stop me from cussing the entire group out, when uh little did I know, one member of the group was standing on the back of my chair listening to the entirety of me cussing their group out, I got so scared I cussed just a wee bit more

they’re really thin plastic tubes meant to be whacked or hit, hence the name boomwhackers :)
They are tuned plastic pipes normally used for beginning music classes to teach rhythm and melody.
And I’m pretty sure that counts as being shaken
We had these in music class and it hurt so much after a while just punching yourself over and over with a coloured pipe for the sake of music.

Now I'm wondering how long it takes to learn to do something like that.
Stephen Mataganog it's all timing and basic drumming skills. They all look like they have some experience drumming before hand so maybe a week or two to get it 90% down.

we had these in grade 1 or 2 and just played less elaborate songs like für Elise and twinkle twinkle little star :) they weren't that difficult to learn as long as you could keep a beat and knew where on the tube to hit
Trey Atkins each colour is a particular note so you don't have to read what it is on each boomwacker
I'd say , if you have musicians who know what they are doing: 2-3 repetitions sessions of 2 hours to find out how exactly to do it. Then some general repitition of half an hour to finish it in a satisfactory manner and ready to go for performance.
