It won't hurt. The plastic is really thin and the noise coming from them supports the evidence that it doesn't really hurt, so I kind of doubt it would irritate the skin.
They really don't hurt at all unless you use too much force. We used to play these in my school

I love these songs. All of them. You can bet I sang along the whole time. Loudest at the end because "I Gotta Feeling" is the first song I ever sang in public, all the way back in 2011 or 2012. Then I stopped singing for a while because voice changes. Then I brought it back in 2015, better than ever.
