The Prestige grill comes in a range of color finishes including black, charcoal, and stainless steel, while the Pro model is available exclusively in stainless steel. The Prestige grill can operate solely on batteries and its cooking knobs illuminate in blue. On the other hand, the Pro grill requires power and its lights consist of multi-color LEDs, including a floor motion light. The grills also differ in their pedestals, with the Pro model featuring heavier-duty doors that close softly and an illuminated cabinet underneath. Additionally, the Pro grill boasts an ice bucket and cutting board on the side shelf, whereas the regular Prestige series lacks these features and its side shelf can be collapsed if desired. The cooking hood of the Pro series is taller, giving it a more robust appearance, and it also incorporates more chrome around the grill. Furthermore, the cooking grates on the Pro model are thicker and heavier, and the side burner includes a stainless steel cooking grate, whereas the Prestige model utilizes a cast iron cooking grate for the side burner. Another very good video with good & valuable information! I went through the dilemma a couple of years ago whether or not to splurge for the 'Pro' vs the 500. In the end, I went with the 500, as it was easier to sell the idea to my wife. Although my Prestige 500 might last 20 years (it is built like a tank), I know myself well enough to say that I'll probably replace it within the next 5-8 years.

I bought my 500 3 years ago and it’s an absolute joy. This is a great honest video - when I was comparing 500 to Pro and learned the heating elements are the exact same, it was a no brainer to get the 500.
This class cooks incredibly hot and very consistent. It’s at the point you can set a timer and walk away there’s no need to check on things or flip repeatedly and wonder how well it’s cooking. It does its job perfectly I love it.

Man, awesome reviews. I'm torn actually between the Phantom 500 and Prestige Pro 500 ... basically on the Phantom, are those sweet stainless cast grill plates and upgraded warming rack superior to the Pro's stainless cooking plates? Maybe a bit better? I'm leaning towards the Phantom, but I do like the lighting on the Pro, and if the plates are close I'll prob go Pro.

I watched probably 80% of your videos where I learned about the difference between SOB vs Napoleon Prestige and Pro.
Your videos explained why the difference between SOB and Napoleon.
Then I watched videos for Prestige vs Prestige Pro.
Everything I learned was from your videos.
I never knew the difference in the heating level of so many other models. That sold me! My list became shorter. I can't wait to grill and cook on our purchase!
Awaiting the Prestige Pro "Mac-daddy" as you refer to it, which I chose for specific reasons after months of research.
No one gives the information you give.

Thank you Trevor for all your videos with honest detail on differences.👍

Another great video and spot on as always. In my opinion it’s really Phantom versus Pro, or Prestige vs box store. We’re talking about lifetime here. In the big scheme of things, it literally costs 10 cents more per month for a Phantom or Pro, and it won’t be 4 years later when the Pro/Phantom envy creeps in, it’ll be 4 weeks later…or even just the next time you walk back into the store. Do the side job, make the extra sale, work the overtime, file the extra TPS report. Be a Pro, earn the Pro. Or I guess swindle some money and then buy the Phantom 😂

Love these napoleon videos. Im in uk and dont know if we have different versions or distributions than USA and Canada but i recently bought the p500 phantom(love it by the way)but i was a little bit pissed off when it arrived to find out mine is not covered by bumper to bumber life time warrantie but intead a limited lifetime? Life on some of the parts and 10 years on the rest?? Then i realised all over box said "made in china" yeah i thought all prestige where made in USA or Canada? Id like to know is this the same situation as you guys out there or is this new news to you? Also i understand a while back there was a colour issue with the matt black lids so now USA have a different satin black lid and do you think all these factors and that these are made in china have down graded the warranties on these phantom model's? Many thanks look forward to hearing any comments and if the china build means we have a lesser product??

Love my Prestige Pro 500!!! I’ve had it for 5 years now and it works just like new
I didn’t want something made in China…specifically was looking at models made in the USA/Canada
I do take it apart every year though and give it a good deep clean, including using the tiny little drill bit to drill out the small holes in the burner tubes.

LMAO, we bought our Weber Genesis Gold in 2005 when we bought our house. We are just now having to replace it almost 20 years later, and this grill was left outside, UNCOVERED 24/7 in all 20 of those years here on Long Island, NY where we see all 3 seasons. It still looks great on the outside, we never replaced any parts and just did the occasional basic 5-minute exterior cleaning. That grill and those flavorizer bars cooked countless amazing meals for us. If you are taking your grill apart every year for a deep cleaning, I think you need to value your time more, unless you actually do it for enjoyment.

This might be kind of niche' but I would like to see a comparison on the Napoleon Prestige Pro vs the Heston or any other top of the line, full-featured grill. What I'd like to see is how a steak seared and cooked on the Napoleon compares to one seared and cooked on one of the big boys. My reasoning is that the Napoleon seems to be a great all-arounder and sort of where the really serious bbqs start but I want to see if the extra money spent on top of the line makes that much difference in the end product and ease of use. Probably going to be getting a Napoleon but I want to see what I'd be missing out on by not saving for one of the top grills. When the Napoleon has such a killer warranty and is likely to last many many years, I really would have to see a big difference in the finished steak, especially since the top stuff is 2-3x the price of a Napoleon.

If anyone is looking to buy a Pro, Just get the regular Prestige 500 RSIB-3, just buy the SS upper deck and sear plate (~$170 CAD), and outside of not having the chrome edges of the firebox, you now have a Prestige Pro 500 (in regards to the actual grilling and not the aesthetics that do nothing)
The regular Prestige 500 RSIB only comes with a chrome plated Steel upper deck, and a cast iron Searing station grate.
There's also a mod that you can make, using the same slit and screw mounting spot of the bar in the lower cart. That bar has no structural benefit. The only reason it's there is to prevent having 2 propane tanks underneath (if you have the propane model), its completely unneccessary if you have the NG version.
In regards to people looking at the Pro model and want to spend money, it would be better if they got the phantom with the cast stainless steel grill surfaces (whole other level)

The thing that turned me off the Pro was having to be plugged in for normal use. Where I have it I can run a cord for the rotisserie when needed but the batteries work fine. As far as the lights $15 dollars at Walmart and handle light attached. Will be upgrading the sear grate to stainless soon because it will rust.
My father in law bought the pro version. He has a big house and location that an outlet nearby so it works for him. He just has the grill vs I have a grill and a pellet smoker so only want to worry about one thing plugged in.
The cart itself I have mixed feelings about. I love the doors on the pro with the soft close but hate the built in shelf. For the items I store in like the tray liners I like having the open cart. Have other miscellaneous items that just don’t fit right in his.
Your comment about buying a long life grill is spot on for both. When we bought our house I got a grill of Facebook for $40 just to start grilling until I could afford this. My plan was to buy it once and your videos convinced my wife to get this because we could always get one of those grills that will rust in two years for a quarter of the price.
For what I make this is a high end grill and love it. Now for my father in law I think he bought the pro to have the better model because their budget would be more towards your high end grills and making an outdoor kitchen.

The most annoying part is the plastic "chrome painted" at the bottom of the ignitors , that looks like shit and is visible and obvious that is plastic painted ,i;m very curious to see how much that steel part of the cabinet will last until is going to rust and fall apart , the rotisserie motor also very cheap on 500 RSIB .
So this is my honest opinion , don't listen all this paid and sponsored RUclips reviewers , they are honest like car dealers .

It’s insulting to be called that, and to say our videos are skewed because of “sponsorship”. Didn’t build this channel on dishonest reviews

NO WAY is it worth the upgrade for almost double the price, and that won't change in 3-4 years, lol.

Пользуюсь Weber Pulse 2000 и очень доволен им. Сейчас присматриваюсь к газовому грилю. Что посоветуете Napoleon 500 или Broil King Regal 590? Привет из России.

THE PRO IS A REALLY BEAUTIFUL GRILL BUT ITS NOT WORTH $2,700 PLUS TAX. NAPOLEON NEEDS TO BRING THIS PRICE DOWN TO $2,100-2,200 . THAN THEY WOULD BE SOLD OUT BY THE THOUSANDS. TOO MUCH MARK UP PROFIT ON A PRICE OF
    $2,700 . 😢😢
