Wow there is a lot to talk about here in this video so we should probably get started. Lets start with the weber summit series. The S-470 boasts top of the line features for weber, cart is built out of powder coated steel with the front of the grill and hood build with stainless steel. Also features a standard typical side burner that you would see on any basic grill. Nice feature but I am not overly impressed with this, When we move over to the Napoleon prestige, we are seeing a very near identical build in comparison to the weber summit series. All of that said I feel the Napoleon has much more useful and practical features on the exterior of the grill in comparison to the weber, lets start with electrical and lighting features, the Napoleon boasts multi color led lighting that is also motion sensor. So as you approach the grill the grill will light up which if your hands are full with food, this feature is most helpful. Also the storage drawers are full soft close and the under cabinet is lit up as well. So that is very helpful and useful. But I think the number one best feature is going to be the infrared ceramic side burner. this gives us the most amount of real estate for cooking space and allows for restaurant style steak cooking as well. So I find the Napoleon the most useful of the grills. I will say however the Blaze is built with the highest quality materials and has the most heavy duty burners as well. However the blaze LTE is the most expensive of the three grills. The blaze is sort of a no thrills sort of grill, it doesn’t really have a whole lot going on as far as features however it definitely has the most amount of expensive raw materials In the grill,. With the whole thing being built out of 304 stainless steel.
So here is the verdict. Out of my top 3 favorite gas grills the weber is my least favorite, and the reason why is, its pretty expensive, has the worst warranty out of the grills at only 10 years, and has the least amount of cooking space. My second choice is the blaze grill. I love this grill for all its high quality materials, its well thought out design, and its lifetime warranty. However it is expensive and doesn’t have much in the way for bells and whistles.
The Napoleon Prestige PRO 500 in my favorite grill, because its the most affordable, has the best warranty, and the most amount of features and cooking space. Its really difficult to beat this grill. Put your money to work and get the Napoleon!

Fabulous review... you really know your stuff! Love from London. ✌🏽
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job on this video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
good overview! I have my weber for over 15 years. I have replaced all the interior parts once I just found some more flavor bars. The sade thing, I can not get parts for this grill. I like your honesty bout these three grilles. Being a weber fan, the Nepolen reminds me of how Weber used to make their grilles. I will be in the market to replace my old gas grill. This has been most helpful in which direction to go with a new grill. Thanks!
Good stuff!
Thanks for the review. Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
This is so helpful. Keep up the good work.
thanks for watching!
Great review. I currently have a 1996 weber 3 burner gas grill. Yeah, I know...its about time! Lol! I personally wouldn't even think about buying a new gas grill that didn't have an inferred searing station. That is probably the most important feature when grilling a steak! I agree with you. I would have to go with the Napoleon. Thanks.
James Albergo let us know if you need one!
I am a weber fan boy… But I appreciate the honest review. Thank you for the review. I am planning on making an outdoor kitchen, and I want to do a lot of research before pulling the trigger on the main cooker.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome and honest review. Thank you!
Thanks so much! New reviews coming soon
For my part, what I really appreciate is plates which covering burners are doubled and make possible to birn the maximumbof grease fall down from your meat.
Also great comparison !!!
Good point!
Appreciate the review. I settled on the Napoleon Pro 500 based mainly on your helpful review.
Glad I could help
Did you get your grill yet? How do you like it? Any flare ups, wind issues, uneven cooking, rust issues, decals above knobs falling off?
@@embersliving yes. Found one at a dealers showroom. He said he bought 12 from a dealer in CA who wanted to get rid of them from his warehouse. Dealer had a store in Knoxville and shipped it to his second store in Chattanooga where I went and picked it up.
What an amazing review video--so comprehensive and nailed all of my key questions. THANKS!
Glad it was helpful!
Very good review. Thank you very much.
My pleasure!
I’m using a grill for a built in outdoor kitchen so I want something that’s extremely durable. The blaze seems like a tank and a clear winner for my application. Thanks for the great video.
great let us know if we can help you purchase one
Great video 💪🏽
Appreciate it
Very much like the Napoleon;
lights n grates;
and your analysis n comparison.of the 3 grills.
great!
Thank you !! greatly appreciated
You're welcome!
Very much like your analysis and comparisons.
Like the Napoleon by a hair!
thanks for watching
Appreciate the review! Leaning toward the Blaze as most of the bells and whistles aren't as appealing to me, but loved the comparison. I'm interested to know more about the consistency of temperature across the cooking surface - I've seen some review mention how open the Blaze is in back, and I've love to know whether many find it problematic.
I haven't seen that as an issue
Great review! I was considering all three of these options and decided on the Napoleon Prestige Pro 665. I’m beyond happy with my choice - Napoleon makes a phenomenal grill backed by an incredible warranty. I do like the extra cooking space and hidden smoker tray with a dedicated burner that comes with the 665 over the 500 model. Money well spent, in my opinion. The charcoal tray and rotisserie basket are awesome accessories for these grills.
Good choice!
I bought the 665 last year, and I've never been happier with a bbq to cook on. Yes, it cost me some money, but compared to a cheap pos throw away grill, it's far beyond.
I was cooking all winter long even in minus 30c. Impossible to do that with a pos throw away grill as they can't hold the heat.
Last bbq I'll ever buy. It's natural gas, hooked up, get's used more than our stove. Can't say enough. Very happy.
Just picked up the 665 today. Really looking forward to the summer with it.
@@BenderWinsSportsBetting You will enjoy it. My favorite is a full chicken on the spit, just herb butter massaged underneath the skin, salt & pepper outsife, only the rotisserie burner on. Family favorite.
We haven't bought a cooked chicken from the store since.
How do you like it? Any flare ups, wind issues, uneven cooking, rust issues, decals above knobs falling off?
Really good video. Many thanx from germany. 👍👍👍
Thanks so much! Make sure to subscriber
We have a three year old version of the pro 500, so no changing light colors, but everything else is the same. I do find the build quality to be very good, though I also find the burners to still be hotter at the back than at the front. I'm sure the Blaze unit is more steady due to the burner construction. I love that we have a good rotisserie burner and the sizzle zone, great for many things like not smelling up the house with caramelized onions. I love that the knobs let you know when a burner is lit, and no, we have not used the ice bucket (next to a hot BBQ?) either though it great for storing some little stuff. Have done everything from rotisserie chickens to low and slow smoked meats with a aftermarket smoker tube. You really cant beat the value you get with the Pro series from Napoleon. (and it's made in Canada, but so is the Weber)
we tend to get the same feedback from a lot of customers
I just ordered the Napoleon Prestige Pro 500 RSIB, have you had any issues with the decals falling off, the lighting module not working, the lights burning out, unable to remove screws to replace the burner tubes or any other issues? I hope the grill doesn't cook unevenly as you've stated above in your comment, hotter in back than at the front. I am replacing my 3-year-old Weber Gensis 2 S-435. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.😎
@shanew7361 ours is a solid 10 years old and I give it a good clean out every year, sometimes twice. The burners are heavy stainless so I've not tried to remove and screws holding them down. No need to yet, burners are mint. Just brush them off once in a while with a fine metal bristle brush. No issues at all, all lights and labels are solid, though the interior halogen lights will burn out from time to time, but that's a cheap and easy fix Napoleon planned for.
You guys have the best video on this topic. Great comparison. I think the build quality (the burners) on the Blaze is phenomenal, but I like the gimmicky features on the Napoleon pro as well. Two questions for you.
1) On your site Blaze LTEs are in the Premium category and the Prestige is denoted as Practical yet you guys like Napoleon, is the categorization correct?
2) which infrared sear unit do you find to work best, LTE or the prestige Pro?
Thank you in advance!
your referring to the BBQ Guys reviews right? So BBQ Guys owns blaze so they categorize it higher. I would put these two grills in the same category. in fact we will have a new review coming soon. Make sure to subscribe
I have a 10 year old Weber Genesis all stainless model. Been outside in GA its whole life and only covered for about a year til the original cover bit the dust. I hate fussing with grill covers. The powder coated metal base is its long term drawback. Bottom has rusted out. Weber sent me a new replacement bottom a few years ago (I had to pay around $100 for that) that I haven’t installed yet. Burner manifold finally bit the dust this year. Weber sent a replacement (free under warranty). Original ignitor AA battery finally died last month. Still has Original burners. Still has original stainless grates. Replaced the flavorizer bars once about 3-4 years ago. Thermometer stopped working this year. Fake chrome around the handle brackets flaked off years ago. The heat sheild under the lid is starting to flake off. Overall for 10 years in the elements, it’s in great shape IMO. If Weber replaced the powder coated steel pieces with stainless, this thing would last forever.
Thats awesome to hear! They are very solid grills.
Nice video...and pretty much sums up what I was thinking...
I have a 2005 Summit Platinum D6...it still looks great and is functionally perfect...but I just want a little more “oomph.” I think it will be retired for a Prestige Pro 825.
Right on!
Great review. I get why you like the Weber least of the 3. For grilling the others are bigger/better, but for rotisserie the Weber is much, much better. The high mounted ceramic infrared is long enough and hot enough to work without supplemental heat from the burners. The rotisserie is high enough to do a 7 rib standing rib roast. I don’t see the other two capable of doing that.
true, the rotisserie is very nicely designed on the weber
Great video!
We went for a Napoleon Pro 665 and loved it every day! Sturdy, works great with nice gormet features and as a bonus it looks stunning!
You Can’t best the 665
@@embersliving you're the expert! But I'm anyway thinking that maybe we should have gone for the 825 to have separate temperature zones but even without that we truly love the 665 and all you can do with it including the built-in smoke tray.
The world would be a better place if everyone had a Napoleon Pro! lol
I love my 665 Pro as well, fantastic grill, plenty of room to cook multiple meats at different temperatures or using indirect heat. So many options and very capable!
Is it hard to clean the wavy grates?
How do you like it? Any flare ups, wind issues, uneven cooking, rust issues, decals above knobs falling off?
Thanks for the review, informative. Leaning towards the Sedona but worried about the quality of the stainless. Maybe Napoleon? looking for the best bang under 4K.
Yes for under that price I would go Napoleon for sure
Another plus for the Napoleon having it's sear station, or Sizzle Zone on the _outside_ of the grill is that it won't generate extra heat on the inside, where you can then cook stuff that doesn't need or tolerate that much heat simultaneously... and then, when done searing the steak, you can move it inside and let it reach its optimal temp.
nice!
I am in the process of re-building my outdoor kitchen. I have had the Weber Summit 670 for 9+ years. My contractor recommended the Napoleon 700 series. There is nothing I didn’t like about the Weber. The smoker box worked amazingly well (I have a dedicated barrel smoker with a fire box) and when I didn’t want to tend a fire all day, I used it to smoke and cook my food. The little real estate lost with the smoke box was never an issue. The rotisserie worked better than any I have ever used. So, I’m torn and having trouble figuring out if I want to switch. May end up being a coin flip and cost… thank you for your thoughts and the detailed comparisons.
the weber doesnt make a great built in option is the problem
Thanks for a great review and the details on each of the models! Not too keen on needing to plug in the grill but not a deal breaker.
For me, I'll need to dig into the Blaze series since that is a new brand for me. I like that it's durable and the warranty. Been using Webber charcoal for years but just now looking for a more durable gas grill to replace my "home store" purchase that gets replaced every few years. Been looking at the Webber gas ones but now I'm going to look around a bit more - - and check out more of your reviews.
Thanks again!
thanks for watching
Got a Napoleon prestige pro 500. Love it. The side sizzle zone is amazing. The rotisserie is great as well. Solid grill!
Right on!
Did you get your grill yet? How do you like it? Any flare ups, wind issues, uneven cooking, rust issues, decals above knobs falling off?
I wish you would discuss the differences in grease management. The Weber has a deep, contoured, grease tray with an opening that drains into a disposable collection pan. I had an S-470 for years at my last house and grease cleanout was a "couple of times a year" task. The Blaze and Napoleon have shallow trays that they expect you to clean after every use. Hands down the biggest reason I'm leaning to a built-in Weber Summit to put in an island.
intresting we will be sure to bring that up
I've had a Napoleon 485 for 14 years and best brand grill ever...Customer service is second to none...some parts needed replacing as I grill all spring, summer and fall for grilling and smoking. and they shipped to me at no cost due to warranty. Would recommend this grill to anyone .
We hear that same feedback from a lot of customers!
It would have been nice to see how evenly they heat, perhaps by grilling bread slices to look for uniformity. Thanks for a very good video.
Great suggestion!
Can the Napoleon Prestige Pro 500 still be light without the power cord plugged in?
just got my delivery of the Napoleon Prestige Pro can't wait to but it together and start grilling.
thats great news!
How much please?
Napoleon knobs also turn red when you turn the gas on. Its an awesome safety feature
Very true!
I have a Weber Summit S650 and I've owned it since 2008. All I say is after owning this grill I'll never own another brand again.
I've dealt with Weber's customer service years after I bought my grill and have had my issues dealt with immediately and without hassle, for me that was it.
These grills are all great but once I have to deal with you and I see you back your product, you've got me.
The grill itself Isa beauty and I've cooked almost anything you can think of on it.
thanks so much for the feedback!
Great vid! I appreciate your knowledge and comparison of the three grills. I’m in the market for a new grill and have been looking at the pro 500 BUT the pro 650 is more the size I like. $$$ though...
Phil Garrison what are you looking to spend? We can point you in the right direction
Embers Fireplaces & Outdoor Living I was trying to stay under the $2k range. Honestly though the 650 Pro is my favorite. Love the features, side burner, lighting, and build quality
Phil Garrison have you looked at the P665 instead of the Pro? It’s more affordable and boasts most of the same features
Embers Fireplaces & Outdoor Living I will check it out. Ship to KS? No Tax?
Phil Garrison yep! Free shipping no tax!!!
This is a very informative video and great comments. I’m looking at getting a new gas grill when I return from my deployment in December. Is there an option for a charcoal basket as well?
Steven Coffee yeah. We have charcoal trays that go in the grills
Napoleon offers a charcoal basket to replace a grate with as well.
I myself have the 665 pro. It's the big brother to the one in the video. I researched for over 2 years before buying.
The top model is the little brother mated with a 2 ceramic burner. Not worth the money as the 665 offers more cooking real estate than it, and you mainly use the ceramic burners for searing.
Nice idea, but poorly implemented.
If you buy the 665, you have extra real estate to actually do indirect heat.
Great video which really helped me understand the differences and where to prioritise in looking for a quality grill. I live in Denmark though so can unfortunately only choose between the Napoleon and Weber. My first choice would have been the Blaze seeing they actually offer marine grade steel on some models (316 steel). If you have had couple of grill rusting out then quality beats various nice to have features.
Glad it was helpful!

I've had an older Napoleon model and an earlier version of the Weber Prestige, and they are both excellent. You really can't go wrong with either one in this category, so go with the price and feature set that makes the most sense for you.
thanks for the feedback
nice side by side demonstrations. In all these videos everything makes me gravitate to Napoleon. If I want smoke on the Napoleon I can just add the smoke box.
thanks for the feedback!
I went with the weber summit s-670 I had a weber genesis for 18 years and found it to be the best grill i ever owned time for a upgrade
Awesome! Im sure you will be satisfied with your purchase! Thanks for watching!
I started looking for Weber products but thanks to a couple of your videos the Napoleon caught my eye. However not a fan of having to plug in for electricity as this is not functional on many back yards, it is probably a big negative and the only reason that I am having doubts about getting the Napoleon Prestige
Yeah we totally get that. Fortunately the only thing you need power for is the rotisserie motor. All the lights run off of batteries that are in the grill.
As a welder I can honestly say, the aluminum tubs will last longer vs stainless.. I’ve seen stainless grill steel rust through and pit under the right conditions/neglect. I have the similar burners on the blaze on my old grill. They have lasted me a long time.
that's great feedback thanks so much! Dont forget to subscribe!
Unfortunately the Summit does NOT have a cast aluminum fire box like the Genesis and Spirit, it is enamel coated steel.
Can you do a video on the customer service of the BBQ manufacturers? I'm interested in the Blaze but have heard that the customer service is terrible.
Thanks for the videos BTW. Extremely useful.
great idea
I am replacing my Napoleon after > 15 years (I think 17). The burner has developed some rust which blocks some of the ports. My new Napoleon is the same price that I paid 17 years ago and better in every way. Glad to see something that works.
right we love Napoleons
I just ordered the Napoleon Prestige Pro 500 RSIB, have you had any issues with it, some on RUclips stating decals falling off, uneven cooking temperatures, lighting module burning out, gas burner replacement screws rusting out and becoming rounded out and unable to remove, any tips or suggestions? Thanks.
@@shanew7361 I have had none of those problems. The most difficult part was aligning the doors on initial assembly. I am still happy with the purchase.
I went with the Blaze purely for build quality. I hope it's the last grill I ever buy. You can get an infrared searing burner and rotisserie as options. The infrared searing burner takes the place of one of the normal burners. So I have 1 searing burner and three normal burners. The Blaze rotisserie motor is waterproof by the way. I also got a wood chip box for it.
good choice
I rarely write comments, but thank you so much for the video! I was torn between the Napoleon Prestige Pro and the Blaze LTE, but decided on the Blaze LTE for the warranty and the build quality. As much as I love the Napoleon bell and whistle, I think the Blaze will stay with me for a longer lifetime, which is worth the extra money.
thank you for the feedback! Keep us posted on how you like it.
Are you still enjoying your Blaze grill Exquisik? I am currently torn between a few models. Thanks!
Did you get your grill yet? How do you like it? Any flare ups, wind issues, uneven cooking, rust issues, decals above knobs falling off?
My buddy bought a prestige pro and I just bought a Weber so we will be able to compare both and see what’s best! I got an amazing deal on my Weber ($1400 Canadian brand new)
So I couldn’t say no. I would of been buying a lex730 napoleon but they wouldn’t budge on $1700
that's great feedback!
I'm not a Napoleon fan boy by any means. I researched buying my BBQ for over 2 years before I actually invested... and it is an actual investment. You are essentially buying something that you can cook on for 10+ years, like a stove.
That said, I seriously looked at the Blaze Grills, though what I really wanted was thier model up. At that price point, I would have picked a Lynx grill. When you start looking at size of the grill, burner options for indirect cooking, choices narrow with cost point.
The Blaze Grill was nice, not talking about the one shown in the video, it's the Blaze Pro. Lynx is nice as well, but both these grills are over double the price of the Napoleon.
I bought the Napoleon 665 3rd gen. Had some light issues to begin with, Napoleon had a technician come and fix everything. It's a gas grill.
What turned me off mostly for the non pro Blaze was the cheaping out on thick grates, and reviews on uneven cooking. The weber, although they make a great bbq, they had a battery operated light on the handle (which we all know how that goes) and didn't enjoy how they handled thier hood.
Napoleon is full 304 hood and box. I admit Webber has a nice enclosed box as well, be it aluminum. It's why they were in the running as I live in wind. My BBQ is sitting up 8ft above ground on a deck, nothing to block the wind on the prairies but me. But the Napoleon Prestige Pro has been lovely to cook on all winter long. Can do pizza's on the pizza stone in minus 30 degree weather by heating up the stone and bbq, all 5 burners, burying the needle at 700+ degrees. I turn the 3 center burners off, cook the pizza in the middle of winter using 2 side burners. Come summer, it's easy. You really have to control heat. It cooks evenly and holds heat.
This thing puts out heat! It holds heat. Spring/summer/fall, world is my oyster grilling or smoking. Indirect heat and smoke, no problem with this thing.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great reviews. Do these come in built-in configurations?
they do!
I own the Napoleon, and LOVE it !!
They are great grills! Make sure to subscribe!!
Hi guys need a bit of guidance, looking to upgrade to a proper grill and so far it’s between the Prestige 500 and the Weber Genesis II 435. Which would you recommend? Or is there a different model I should consider? Thanks
so sorry for the delay! WE are posting a new genesis review here shortly up against the prestige, stay tuned!
Great video! I'm currently searching for a replacement grill, and now leaning towards purchasing a Napolean. Do you currently have any specials on the grill?
Omar Diaz what model do you want?
@@embersliving The Prestige Pro 500.
Nice review. I’m switching from Napoleon to Blaze due to the fact that Napoleon doesn’t have a service tech in the NY area. They outsource the work to Sparkle Grill Cleaning and they don’t have a rep in the tri state. Buyers be aware if you live in the area.
good to know
Kindly do a comparison between the Napoleon 825 / 625 prestige pro and the Weber summit grill Centre. Thanks in advance. I particularly am interested in the rotisserie ability and also the ability to have a side burner that I can use for cooking food outside.
man that would be a good one, we will try to make that happen
Just as an add to the smoke trays. I bought a smoke tube. It uses pellets. Light it and go.
and it works well?
@@embersliving Absolutely. I have the same Prestige Pro in the vid. It obviously won't replace a smoker (Too much air flow) but it adds a kiss of smoke when doing lid closed grilling. Especially nice when using the rotisserie. It''s like an extra spice or herb on your food. I'm thinking of cutting a hole in the closed end so I can light both ends for more smoke. Needs to be over an unused burner though. When grilling I put it on top the rotisserie burner so I can use the whole grill surface. I don't use the 2 centre burners when on rotisserie so it goes beside my drip catch pan. I do a lot of Sous Vide as well and that infrared side burner cranked up is the absolute best searing tool.
Enjoyed the vid. I’m really leaning towards the blaze but read reviews that the lid is thin even tho it says double lined. My main concern is the lid becoming discolored as this will be a built in and want it to look good for a while. Did you ever gets complaints about that? Also read the knobs can get really hot?
Mark LaCava my personal experience with them, is I haven’t seen any discoloration. If you need help ordering and shipping a built in. Let us know we carry every major brand and free shipping no tac
I have had a Weber for 10yrs in SoFl, used ~2+ times a week, year round.
A great old workhorse.. and looking it. So yes, I want NEW for the fall / holidays.
And looking at these same grills made yr input very helpful. And I think your ratings were spot on!
The searing unit put the Napoleon over the top for me as I love black and blue steak.
Don't smoke anything (in the grill, that is) so the Napoleon will be my choice this time!
Thanks fella.
your welcome! Glad it helped!
Must be from PA! Well I am a KY native and Pittsburg Blackened/Black and Blue is the only way to!. I always tell the waitress I eat steak at body temperature. So, just lop me off a piece and walk the rest of it home!

Im looking for a new grill. Infrared side burner is a must have for me.
I wish Weber would have that so i would have more options to choose from.
I hear ya! I would have to recommend the Napoleon Prestige series! Hope that helps
i love my napoleon, i have a Prestige 500, such a solid BBQ, watched this cause i actually sell napoleon at my store and wanted to see how it compares to the other 2. its blows the other 2 out of the water IMO
I agree! Stay tuned for more!
Mine flairs up way too much with any fatty foods
Will the Napoleon grills work if they are not hooked up to the power socket? Thanks for your videos.
Michael Fernandes yeah all the burners will light except the side burner and rotisserie
Looking for an opinion on the Weber Summit S-470 vs Napoleon Prestige Pro 500. I really like the setup and features of the Napoleon better after watching the review (never owned one), however I've never really had any problems with the Webers I've owned in the past. Currently where I'm living the Napoleon is about $700-$800 more than the Weber, just trying to decide if the differences are worth that kind of price difference.
well your picking from the elite so can't go wrong, I would say the Napoleon. You just can't beat the sear!
I wish the Napoleon and Blaze would have a baby. I want the Blaze with Napoleon's IR side burner, rotisserie w/ better spacing from grill/ir burner, and vertical real estate.
Now that would be something we'd be excited about!!
Quick question, just got the prestige pro recently, and i have it on motion sensor setting but strangely the lights on the knobs and under glow stay lit throughout day, but once its night time the lights will turn off and work with motion. Is there a reason it does this?
I can assure you theres no motion in the back during the day for the lights to always be on
there is a button on the control box for the lights to set it to always on, or motion. not sure if this is too late lol, but you just gotta hit the button on the control box
yes that is correct
i am currently in the market for a top end built in grill , with matching outdoor refrigerator , i am interested in the HESTAN vs KALAMAZOO vs FIREMAGIC comparison .Please i need your professional guidance .
So sorry for the delay, I am not familiar except for Fire magic, other top ends we sell are Lynx, and Al Fresco along with fire magic of course
Great thank you.... I’m gettin the BLAZE
Let us know if we can help. We have them in stock
Im deciding on getting a grill myself..im still not sure which one.i read that char boil is good but cooks uneven but produces good heat also made with good product..nexgrill good with cooking but not as good with heat material wise not that great.weber heat produce is not the best but great at cooking and some what good material..i really would like your advice on them 3 grills..im really thinking about going with nexgrill with weber behind it..thank you for your time
I would have to familiarize myself with the nexgrill
Thanks for your review but I think the Weber is not 304 sst but it is 430 sst on the lid, shelfs and door fronts and pls comment on where the grill is built.
thanks for the feedback
Without smoke you could just bake inside. Weber chip box changes the flavor so dramatically if I switch to the napoleon which I might. I will have to add an adequate smoke box to be satisfied. At the cost of grill space or not. Good video thanks
Napoleon makes one that sits below the cooking grates so it doesn't take up space
@@embersliving How much more does it cost?
Great review. I’m leaning towards the Napoleon Pro 665. Would that model be a better comparison to the Weber and Blaze? Just curious why you reviewed the 500? Cheers!
Mike B the 665 is my favorite gas grill period. It would apply to this same review. The 500 is just the most popular in size. We are running some good specials on the 665 if you wanted to order one?

Great review, Thanks - Why is it, the more popular a company gets, the less quality and options they offer - In my visit to Lowe's, ALL and I mean ALL of Webers' Gills did not offer Inferred burners, I don't believe they even offer it on smaller models, only a useless burner. How in the world did they get this all popularity! it makes me think, they were compared with much lower quality grills.
they really target that lower price point and do a good job in that market for sure. You get what you pay for...
great review.
my problem with Napoleon is they won't respond directly to customer concerns. All issues must go through dealers and some dealer just don't give a damn.
Whereas Weber answers their phone and responds to customer issues.
Also, the size of cooking area is not as big of an issue as you make it out to be. With very few exceptions, I'm grilling for two people, occasionally for 4, and rarely for 10.
I've got both Weber an Napoleon products, they're both great.
Im currently in the market for a new BBQ grill and enjoy all of your vids.
very good point. We have a bunch of new top 5 videos if youre intrested. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
How does one contact customer service should one need parts or to file a claim? I am replacing my 3-year-old Weber Genesis 2 S-435, the manifold isn't getting propane even after replacing the gas regulator valve and a new propane tank.
Stay away from the Weber. My Summit 620, at 9 years old had the bottom of cart completely rusted out. Now I know why. The metal isn’t stainless (like the Blaze) let alone galvanized (like the Napoleon)... Yesterday the front left wheel came off of the completely disintegrated frame member.
so its time for a Napoleon!
Thanks for the review!! Quick question about cooking style versatility: does the Blaze LTE allow slow&low temperature cooking around 220-240F? It has stronger burners but I am not sure If I can still use it as a smoker. Thank you in advance for your feedback! Mattia
You would be better with the Napoleon for low and slow
@@embersliving thank you! would you be so kind to elaborate a bit more?
How do the lights in the grill stand up with the test of time. Meaning do they get covered with grease, smoke, whatever over time? Do they clean up back to normal pretty easily or will they suffer from permanent staining eventually?
no they do pretty hood actually y
Great review! I just placed my order for the Napoleon Prestige Pro 650 this morning!
Hope you enjoy it!
Did you get your grill yet? How do you like it? Any flare ups, wind issues, uneven cooking, rust issues, decals above knobs falling off?
@embers what would you pick if you are doing a built in grill? It would only be the main cooking unit (no side options)??
+embers fireplace
probably the Blaze LTE or if you could spring for it, the Blaze PRO
@@embersliving
Great! Thanks so much
Are there any good deals on the Nepoleon Prestoge Pro 665. I live in Cleveland Ohio area. I am also interested in the coal trays, grill cover, rotisserie basket and BBQ tools.
Does the Pro 665 comes in assembled (or at least half assembled)? If not how long does it take. I would love to avoid major assembly if possible.
We have in stock. We could get you free shipping no tax. And throw in 2 accessories for you. But quantities are limited this year. We will probably sell out by early spring
Also it does come assembled minus the side shelves.
are the knob lighting and grill lighting controlled by a plug as well?
yes
I live right on the ocean and curious as to which grill you would recommend. I have had my eye on the blaze late marine model?
that is a good choice
I have a built-in Blaze BLZ-5LTE2 that I bought in 2015, the burners are terrible in that the heat is uneven along the length of the burner, looking to replace it with a grill that has better burners. I'm thinking the Napoleon Pro 665 is the way to go.
not a bad choice
I am still cooking on a Weber Genesis Silver B that is 22 years old.
very nice
Seems like the Coyote would compete well with these even though it’s a bit pricier. Love to see a comparison if the Coyote S and the Napoleon. They have different heat systems ( ceramic briquettes in the Coyote) , but I don’t know enough about how that compares to the great features of the Napoleon.
Yes we do compare it in other videos. It has great burners
Just bought a prestige pro 500. Wish the icebox was insulated. Basically my only gripe.
thanks for the comment
I think you meant to say “no frills” - good overview otherwise! I’m looking to replace a older Summit 670 that is rusted through in a few places, burners, cart and inside back lid. It’s been a good grill, but the Napoleon looks much better to me.
good to know
I own a Weber Spirit E-310. I am looking for another grill for my mountain house. This is a great grill. Lighting it is a snap. Only takes one hand-like the Weber Spirit 11. You simply turn on the first burner and hit the button. Do the same for the other 2 burners. Never had a wind blow ut issue. Having food in one hand before you preheat the grill makes no sense. Your comment about the drip pan being exposed makes sense as we deal with critters at our home. I will go for another E-310 which is enclosed. You also failed to mention the tank measurer which is a great feature on Weber's. You completely overlooked the I Grill 3 feature which comes with the Spirit 11. Great feature for those techies who want to monitor the meat temp. Yes, the probes do cost $99.
David Schmidt I have a new genesis video coming soon, that gets great reviews! Stay tuned
Haha $1K+ grill for a mountain house... life goals!!
Great video, The Napoleon is the best !
It really is!
I have had a Weber Genesis Silver B for over fifteen years. I have replaced the burners, flavorer bars and ignition; everything else is in great shape. But, just purchased a new house that came with built in barbecue area and a Blaze LTE 40 inch grill. The house is 7 years old and I was told the grill is 6. The grill is in terrible shape. Burners are heavily rusted as are the flame tamers. Two burners light completely but only if I light the burner immediately to the left. The other three light half way. Of course, the heating is very uneven. these burners do not look like the burners you showed in the review. Racks are still usable but not in the greatest shape.
I believe I need to replace my built in grill. Buying a new Blaze 40 inch LTE would be the easiest solution. But I do not have confidence in the longevity of the Blaze. One more thought about the Blaze. Their flame tamers allow grease to drip directly onto the burners. From what I can see, the Napoleon and Weber burners are protected by the flavorizer bars.
I am leaning toward the Napoleon 665 built in model. It should fit in the existing cutout.
Thans for any comments.
hmm, both grills are a toss up. We sell a ton of each and have excellent feedback from both, since your a little soured on Blaze, maybe try out the 665. Its pretty hard to beat the value of Napoleon for sure!
I need to see a review like this in the 500 to 750 range.
what do you mean? Cooking space?
@@embersliving dollars!
How much is the middle one go for.
1,899 in LP
Which is going to be in the best shape (least rust eg) in two years?
I would say the blaze
Question. I am between the Nap. Pro or Coyote C 28. Tough decision or easy decision? Which one? Also, do both require I have an outlet by the grill?
hmm. Well if you do red meats I would say the PRO500 as the infrared side burner is a big game changer for me.
One other question... now thinking blaze lte coyote 36... which one do you like?
@blakemayer9643 which grill did you end up with and how do you like it?
@@aaronolsen8787 I ended up buying coyote 28 for the convenience in a box. I love it. No issues and I recommend. Only downside is sometimes the steel knobs get too warm. Otherwise cooking wise I am enjoying it. Note I am not a professional chef or griller so only have past Weber grills to compare and I prefer for size and use.
What about a built in that doesn’t have the side and drawer features? Would you go blaze then?
Literally watching this video for the answer to the same exact question
yes out of these 3 I like the blaze for a built in application I would say. Check out some of our other videos though as we have a lot more options
It seems like the Blaze would be easier to clean, and less flare ups?
maybe a touch less flare ups. Napoleon and weber have the flare up category on lockdown they all perform so well
Great video! I was leaning Napoleon before, but now I'm definitely ordering one. Disappointing that you have to plug the thing in an electrical outlet though. I hate the thought of dragging an ugly extension cord across my deck to plug in my new awesome looking grill. I wonder if you can't retrofit it with a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack?
And lifetime warranty on the Napoleon! With all the wiz bang on the grill, it sounds like you might need it. I spend hundreds of dollars maintaining my 12 year old Char Grill over the years with grates and other parts rusting out. Time to step it up.
We have stock currently if you would like to order one
The lifetime warranty from Napoleon is a joke. It means nothing if they don't reply to your email or warranty claim. If you call them, you will be on hold for hours, and they will tell you the part is out of stock. What good is that? I regretted that I just bought the Prestige from Napoleon. They just don't care about their customers period.
Cast aluminum tubs suck. I’ve cooked through my Weber Summit 620 in 13 years. Yup, cooked through the cast basin. Weber is happy to sell me all the parts I’ll need to fix the grill, but $800 in total parts (igniters are burned through too), I’m electing to move up to a better grill.
If you want a grill to last forever, and I mean the rest of your life get a Big Green Egg. I've have one for 6 years and it's the same as the day I bought it. That's after going through 3 of those gas grills that fell apart.
check out our new ceramic reviews
thanks for the feedback
that's great!
GMan my new island setup will have one 40” gasser and I’m adding a Weber summit charcoal for smoking/wood cooking/and coal flavoring. Between these two solutions I can cook everything I desire. Wood fired pizzas, Mediterranean kabobs, burgers, turkeys, legs of lamb, fish,, shellfish, and anything in between.
