    We got a prestige pro 500 with price reduction. Mounting it was a huge challenge. Everything was super tight and didn’t fit in well and the boreholes of the holder for towels didn’t fit with the thread of the grill. Maybe that was the reason for the reduction

      I wanted the lex 485. model. I went to Patio Place and the guys were awesome. One thing he said to me, is that the only one thats made it China is the lex 485. ARRGG can you believe it. My luck. All others are made in Barrie with top grade Stainless. China uses more steel content in their stainless. That's why it rust faster. WHY ME?? The only one that I like with my budget and the right width for my deck.

      @@DH-ce6dh Out of the 5 models Napoleon has, which are Triumph, Rogue, Legend, Prestige and Prestige Pro, only the Prestige ones are Canadian built. I was also looking at the ones at C.Tire, but I knew the Canadian made would last much longer since the quality of both materials and labour would be superior. I bought a 2018 P500 model in spring 2019 for $1099. After 1 full year of use, I just love my P500. I would even pay more money than what I paid for and still be completely satisfied. I will never go back to any cheap brands...Ever! My 2 cents, if you can't afford a Prestige this year, wait for next year. You will not regret it. Cheers and happy grilling! :)

    Just had the Prestige Pro 500 delivered, after spending more than an hour assembling it only to realize that the heat shield was cut too large on one side to be able to fit. How does something like this even happen when Napoleon says what attention to detail and quality standards they have. They said they would ship us a new one and hopefully it will get here soon ( we are concerned about the Covid shutdown) as all the pieces are now living on my patio! What a letdown after thinking I had splurged on a top quality product.

  • @graciebonsai7272
    @graciebonsai7272 Год назад

    I bought one some years ago and experienced a number of disappointing issues early on. The thermometer was not accurate, the wiring for the control knob lights melted, some of the igniters failed due to high voltage punch through of the inadequate insulated wires, the screened printing on the control knob panel peeled off, the plated steel grease tray rusted through and the chrome plated handles around the left and right sides pitted. I have always keep it covered when not in use. So I am highly disappointed buying a high end grill that lacks quality in the details.

      I'm a journeyman sheet metal worker, what do you what to know about SS?
      Telling you right now if you are looking for 316L or 304, better have $8000 in your back pocket or more depending upon gauge. 304 is food grade, 302 is probably what it's made of. Your stainless steel dishwasher is probably made from 430.
      All metals have their strengths and weaknesses. Yes, 16g 316L would be lovely, like a Lynx grill, but you'll be paying $10,000 plus.

      @@gregjordan5899 I have the 665 Prestige Pro sitting on my deck now, I pulled the pin late last summer.
      It's 304 SS, hood, grates ( main cooking grate, warming rack is chrome coated), cook box, heavy duty spit rod, front panel. Back inside panel is porcelain coated, cart is not 304 SS, but 400 series of some sort I believe. Legs are not 304 either.
      304 WILL rust in a salty environment, as in near to ocean air. Inland, you shouldn't have much concern if you look after it such as covering it. I love the grill, even heat and holds heat.
      I was burying the needle at 700 degree's in -30 cooking pizzas on a stone no problem at all. Never could ever do that with a throw away bbq.

      Probably could have got it for less, but they do want to move these top level products, not have them sit around till next year. I was fair to them, they made some money off me, I saved $450 with taxes, everyone is happy.
