Ive have the exact same grill and luckily at Lowes I was able to buy it for $1700 because it was a floor model. The weber summit is hands down the best grill ive ever owned and used. Make sure you buy the natural gas version like this so it takes the headache out of using propane. My favorite features are the sear station burners which take a little practice to perfect and the built in Rotisserie. Ive done everything from 2 full sized chickens to game hens, turkeys and tritips. I know the grill is exspensive but its well worth it due to how high quality everything is and ease of use and cleaning. If you're thinking about buying this and your not sure about spending the money do it. Webber grills will last a lifetime so if you're unsure about it just know its the best grill you'll ever buy. Ive had mine for about 5 years now and nothing has broken. Just make sure after every 3 times you use the grill to clean it and make it brand new you leave everything in the grill and turn on every burner for at least 30 minutes or until you get a white ashy build up. What i do to power steam clean the inside is once its done the self clean burn off you take a bottle of water and use a nail to poke a hole in the cap so you can spray it on your grates and since it will still be really hot the water turns to steam and it gets the toughest of burnt on stains off. Hope this helps you decide on this grill and you will never regret it in any way 😉
Thank you for an in-depth review; I have an S-670 and the one thing, beyond anything else, that I love about the unit is the evenness of heat, no need to dance the meat around the whole grill to make sure it gets enough heat, just lay it on there, flip it as required and it cooks perfect every time. T
I haven't tried the Summit but I have used the new Genesis II S-435 several times and it's a beautiful grill. That Summit is nice, especially like the rotisserie.
Great review of a great weber grill !! I have a Weber genesis that is the best grill I have ever had...Not a huge fan of the new ones being cart style...IMO this is the best grill Weber made!..and looks like you enjoy it. Thanks for doing this review.
@@BBQandBottles I have had it seven years now..still looks new.. tons of life left in it ...I'm sure I can easily get another 7 years out of it. I am looking for a good deal on a NG summit tho. Thanks for the reply.
The most important feature to me is that it’s made in North America. I’m deciding between this grill or the Napoleon Prestige pro which is made in Canada. The Napoleon does have a charcoal basket feature and that would be nice. Great review, Thank you.
If you go down that path make sure you get the one with the infrared side burner so you can at least sear your steaks off at high heat. It’s definitely a way to save a few bucks but I can’t speak to the quality of their grills.
I've had my S-470 since 2008. Best grill ever. I've had to replace parts, some under warrantee, some not. Customer Service has been great. I agree with everything you said. I would add one thing to the dislike category; The side burner is too hot. It's great for boiling a large pot for corn-on-the-cob, but not a iron skillet for bacon and eggs.
I'm going to upgrade my Weber Genesis ii S-340 because it struggles in the cold weather. How does your Summit do in the cold Canadian temps? Thank you!
Yeah, you kind need something like the Summit to power through the Canadian winters if you're planning on grilling 365. It works great even in the depths of February.
You are so right. I have the Summit Charcoal Grilling Center for weekend use. I would not recommend this though. It is a hella old grill by now. I am waiting for the new model, it can't be long now. Maybe a year or two.
100% agree on having multiple grills for different purposes. I don’t think there’s going to be a new version of this grill any time soon though because Weber just came out with the Genesis label recently which seems to be their focus.
@@BBQandBottles No the genesis ll is a couple of years old too. They just gave us the sear station back last year i think. My mate has one and it is pretty decent.
Weber Summit is an excellent grill, but as Canadians you should look into a Napoleon. After cooking on Weber for 50 years they got me to switch. Prestige Pro 825.
Thanks so much Samuel. It means a lot to hear about people taking positive things away from this channel. Great to have beauties like you as part of this community. 👍👍👍👊👊👊
Is this an advert? Nice review by why keep calling meat proteins. Just say meat!! I don’t know if you are trying to not offend certain people but as my grandmother used to say to me “say what you mean and mean what you say”. Words to live by imo.

incredibly detailed and honest. it looks like you've used the grill plenty as well, which gives you so much more authority than a sales rep!
Great review. Thank you.
Exceptional Review.. thank you sooo Much :) great job!
I just bought a 460 mainly due to this review, so thank you!
Thank you for amazing review. Gonna buy the Weber Summit S 670 (Stainless steel) tomorrow! Cheers! I am looking forward.
Great review- sick grill - let's Go Hockey!

Totally agree. Great grill!
what is it like for gas - uses a lot ???
Good review I am thinking of replacing a 15+ year Genesis with the Summit your user review was a big help thanks.
Go for it Domenic! You won’t regret it.

Yeah, they’re great grills
Would like a video on How to use for specific foods. (i.e. temp settings, etc.)
Does the smoke box add noticeable flavor? Thanks for the great review.

Yep, really pleased with my summit. How old is your genesis? Still hanging in there?

Great review and I can relate to everything you said!
I was wondering how hot your unit gets? Mine „only“ reaches 700 degrees with all burners on :(
It’s hard to know cause I think the temp gauge tops out at 700F. I suspect it’s a little hotter than that but I don’t know for sure

What model are you considering? the Pro 500?
BBQ and Bottles I like the Prestige pro 500.

How big are there flavour bars and gas burner please

I wanted to ask if you used natural gas ,given the fact that it seems you cook often with it, but you said it in the video 👌
Yep, this one is connected to our natural gas hookup. It’s hard to beat the convenience.
I'm a charcoal fan myself but gas is definitely more convenient. Best bet have one of each.

Yeah, I have tried reaching out to them but they don’t seem to want to talk to me...
The link for the grill floss goes to the gloves. Could you post a link to get to the grill floss
Thanks for letting me know about that. Heres the correct link. amzn.to/3a0LHDs
@@BBQandBottles you're welcome. I really enjoy your videos. I've learned alot. I did some pork chops with your tips today and they turned out great.

did you cold smoke salmon ?
Great content! We'd love to collaborate on more food-related content!
What’s the highest temp the grill reaches ?
I’ve had it over 600F which is where the temp gauge tops out.
Thats a great question because i cook my steaks on high as i can get. At least 600°f.👍✌
Thats the e-470 not the s-470. The s-470 is stainless✌👍
