I can't thank you enough for telling us the outer dimensions of the box it comes in! You are the first (and only site) that I have seen that has done this! You saved me a trip down to my local Luxe Barbecue store as this wouldn't have fit in my suv. Good thing I have friends with pick up trucks, lol! Very informative review all around and thanks again!
Sitting here remarking at how thorough your review is. After just this one video I subscribed and turned on the alerts. Towards the end of the video you showed us the box and gave us the dimensions so we know which vehicle to bring to the store. Awesome job 🙏
thank you for the detailed information on the matt black finish! my wish is napoleon to produce a PRO version in matt black - happy to pay more for that!
Thanks for providing such a detailed review of the bbq. one of my fears from a bbq is having the cart rusted out. I wonder what napoleon is doing to prevent rust for the cabinet/side shelves. I know weber grills from 40 years ago still doesn't have any signs of rust on their carts. Hope napoleon is doing the same.
Hi Jack. It was our pleasure. Napoleon has done the galvannealling process to essentially the whole barbecue, which protects it from having the metal corrode/rust. Also, they place vents in their cart to prevent any moisture build up - another effective precaution against rust. The Phantom grill also has porcelain coated stainless steel nuts/bolts, which will never rust and are super easy to clean.
May I ask if the base outer shell / material, which is "coated" in black, is also made out of stainless steel underneath or is it carbon steel? Im not sure if I should go with the stainless steel finish, as it appears more durable and will not corrode whatsoever...really fell in love with the matt black design
@@bagavid4591 damn, I’ve been trying to get a hold of the seller all day with no response via phone call and emails and this was faster! Thanks! Hope they make one for the 425 model soon! What about for the side burner? Are those essentially the same size perhaps that would fit?
Very good detailed look. I learned some things that other videos didn't even cover. Thanks. I wonder how that Matte Black finish would hold up to salty ocean air? I live on Vancouver Island and rust and corrosion are always an issue.
Hi Mike. The Matte Black Finish would definitely hold up. The galvannealing process discussed in the video protects the metal under the coat from making contact with the salty ocean air. Even the nuts and bolts on this grill are stainless steel with a black porcelain coating, so they should theoretically never rust - they also give the barbecue a sleek look and are super easy to clean. Although we can't guarantee it's completely rust proof forever (of course this depends on how long you have your barbecue for), we recommend the Napoleon Phantoms over some other grills in areas by coast lines or on islands like yourself. Also, a tip to counteract the rust you are having would be to consistently wipe your barbecue down with a soft microfiber cloth so that less moisture builds up on it's surfaces. Getting the matching cover for your grills (and patio furniture if you have any) would also help with this. 😀
@@BarbecuesGaloreCA Thanks for getting back to me. Appreciate the response and suggestions. Do all Prestige 500 RSIB come with Rotisserie kits, motor and all, included in the box? Website says "Rotisserie included" but then just has a pic of the bar. Never can be too sure in today's world. Cheers.
Do not like this grill at all. Impossible to keep clean by the handles. The infrared burner inside the grill takes forever to cook something. The paint bubbled on me on a brand new grill and flaked off. I now have a dime size bare spot. They want 60 bucks for a small tube of touch up paint. Worst of all and I mean worst of all zero customer service. Tried calling 3 times and was on hold for a hour each time with no results… Keep in mind this grill is old and been around a while. Wish I had my Weber back with the sear station. Also the doors suck on it big gap
This video is by far the best video not just on the Phantom, but of ANY grill overview. Incredibly informative , great job!
This gentleman is incredibly well spoken! No and, ums. Excellent presentation.
Thank you kindly!

This is the most informative presentation of the Phantom grill.

Those stainless steel rack’s really stole the show 👌🏽
Best review I've ever seen for any BBQ!
Very informative review- I intend to buy one tomorrow. Thanks
Glad to hear it Kevin! You'll love the way it performs.
Really a great review!!
Just bought one from you today! Excited to get it on Tuesday!
You're going to love it Mark. Remember to read the owner's manual for tips on clearances to combustibles and how to keep it clean. Enjoy.
Will the freestyle phantom have the same process on the finish as the the more expensive phantoms?

What kind of brush would I use to clean the grill? Is a wire brush okay ?
Yes, those grills can handle just about anything.
This is the first time I've seen anyone mention the adjustable vent on the burner.

I’ve read about paint chipping and peeling, is this issue fixed with current models?
Very informative. Thank you 11:55
good video but u can skip the music i think :=)
Do the grill grates need to be seasoned?
No, they do not.
Thank you and great video! Would love a follow up video on maintenance and cleaning the special coating
Can the top warming rack be replaced with a traditional wired rack?
Yes, you can buy a P500 size regular wire warming rack and it will fit. Barbecues Galore can supply this for you.
I have the phantom rogue 425, can I get the stainless cast iron grid I see here for my grill which just uses stainless steel
Hi Jake. Currently, the cast stainless grills are only produced in the larger Prestige size.

@@theitfguy Hi. Not the same size. Won't fit. Maybe they'll make something down the road.
Any of the parts you grill on dishwasher safe for the 425se?
If the grills are stainless (?) - you won't hurt them in the dishwasher.

They should put a sm9king feature in these things.
The big question is phantom or pro…. Which one??? I can’t decide.
If you don't grill in the dark much - Phantom. If you grill in the dark (ie. half the year in Canada) - the lights in the PRO are terrific.
@@BarbecuesGaloreCA how do you clean the lenses for the lights in the pro? I've tried and I can't find anything to take the burnt grease off.

FYI - both the music bed and music volume make this GREAT INFORMATION extremely annoying to me 🫣
