i'm not even a truck driver but i want to own a cabover semi one day. i don't know why but i love them. Rare to see in the U.S. nowadays but when you see one it's a treat.
There are quite a few cabovers still in revenue service. One well-known example is "Orwell", an '82 Peterbilt 362. It's the star of the #FSCTrucking channel on YT.
@@eddygoodwin7089 Well I haven’t seen one for sale anywhere in Canada lately so I’m starting at $10,000 if somebody wants this one. Has the air ride and the wet kit and fires up every time
@@bertgrau3934 it drove all the way home. Smokes and burns oil and needs lots but it’s the first one I’ve ever got my hands on. No idea what I’m going to do with it yet
Well, if you need someone to teach you how to drive it, I'm a 48 year veteran long haul driver and trainer. I've always loved Astro's. Many years ago I drove the GMC General with a 2 cycle Detroit. Pretty loud, but fun.@@atpmonstergarage

Me too brother……I want a cab over with a Detroit……just as a hobby ride.
I love the old GMC trucks, I grew up next to a dealership, almost everyday I could hear the scream of many 2 strokes.
You must have been in Detroit heaven. Cheers from Australia.
@@andrewking4885 Yep, those were the good old days.
I grew up on a Asphalt Farm Heard Big Rigs all day
Chevrolet also made a Cabover called the Titan. GMC had the General and Brigadier Chevrolet had the Bison and the Bruin. Nice Astro 95.
Good to know!! Thanks for the info
Darn thing looks pretty good actually...hope you don't change it too much.
8v71 can't beat the sound especially twin stacks straight from the manifold 👍👍👍👍

Astro’s are rare to see!
I always love them trucks I will try to find me more I'm like everybody else I love that Detroit
It looks a lot better and more attractive than the first GMC astro cabover. It's sad GMC stopped building them and general semi.

Missing the tow loops on the front bumper
8V71……that’s how you do it!
I like the small grill better, the late style just looks big. Otherwise looks good
Ya but it was free!!!!

No, down here in the U.S. we are paying a lot for chickens because of Joe Biden.
