Yeah the rotations are really easy you just have to choose between [2:1], [5:5:1:1], [5:6:1:1], [1:1], [6:8:1], [6:9:1], [4:7:0:1], [2:3], [1:2], [1:3], [1:4] what a 1 button class lol
@@CarnifaxMachine Those are shot ratios. 2:1 is double steady shot between autos, 1:2 is letting two autos through after each steady shot to correct drift due to high haste, 5:5:1:1 is 5 steadies, 1 multi, 1 arcane in the space of 5 autos (non-steady gets used where you can't fit a cast time but can fit a gcd without delaying your auto). The original TBC macro used to let you swap between 2:1 and 1:1 automatically based on current attack speed. 1.03 * 1.03 * 1.03 = 9.3% ;3 Also, one button macro is dead on arrival. In fact, it was never top DPS to begin with. It was just a way to let garbage hunters, be less garbage hunters. The top hunters will be manually timing their shots, as they did in Classic. Improved hunters mark only provides the base attack power to melee. So 440 to ranged, 110 to melee. hunter 1 button macro is a thing of the past... by this time i was hopping people that make videos about a class are better informed. the new macro is just steady shot, kill command, not timer reset because the client wont support that
I still remember the TBC prepatch back in 2006. I went out farming furbolgs for my furbolg rep, And I get jumped by 2 rogues. Usually, 2 rogues take down a hunter in a few seconds, as they stunn you and delete you, but I popped my newly buffed beastial wrath and destroyed them, it felt fantastic. with beast within, you are immune to stuns.
I'll have to be honest. Is there any class that isn't better so far? I think the only one you covered so far that there was any overall downgrade is warrior, and that's not even because they are weaker. It's that they were so strong in classic and everyone else just got brought up to a similar level.
Fury warrior, Boomkin (stays the same really), Rogue (PvE). You can argue everyone else got better and they just stayed the same, but thats just semantics. If I gave everyone 1 billion dollars but you, you are getting screwed even though you are technically in the same spot you were before.
BM is probably around 20% more than SRV, though a good SRV hunter can close that gap as their rotation allows for more special shots. for MM, im not sure, its pretty terrible. As for the 1 button macro, it does not work, Wille failed to state that it does not account for various haste values. This allows for a more creative rotation for hunters in general and you will have to manually time all your shots. On top of this weaving in multi's/arcane/melee hits in between your SS while calculating your GCD timing will be bis. It will be an engaging rotation do not believe people that say spamming a 1 button macro will be bis dps.
I'm pretty sure it still exists. The macro is just executable commands, so unless they completely changed LUA, its unlikely there will be any change. If anything, people will figure out how to make it better.
People using the "one button" macros will be obvious compared to hunters that have mastered their rotation of abilities and pump even further with melee weaving. Do not roll into the class expecting to cheese through raids at a competitive level using those macros.
I'll believe it when I see it. Melee weaving is a meme in Classic, and will likely remain as such in TBC. I get the feeling of wanting to feel "elite" by not using a 1 button rotation, but it's just that simple.
Hey WillE you really should split pvp season by season, because for all your videos so far you're speaking very broadly about stuff that changes. You mentioned beast mastery in season 1, but you didn't mention that for example drain hunter is nonexistent until late season 2 and in season 4 you can once again see damage/kill hunters. You did this in a few other videos as well for classes that change from season to season a lot.
1 shot macro won't work in classic since it uses retail macro system, and only aim shot reset swing timer, wind serpent becomes BiS pet later on with better gear it's not behind Ravager overall only in the beginning, expose weakness still required some gear it wasn't just oh Hunters have a lot of crit so it will proc... lots of misinformation in this video.
I notice you don't have a section for pvp survival. I find this a grave insult the the melee hunter community. You'll be hearing from our team of kitten lawyers
PVE and PVP BM hunter is the best choice until you get S tier gears You can easily faceroll with just one button macro in TBC as a BM hunter. 14 years ago i level , raid and pvp gladiator with my hunter with just one single macro Only Arena uses another 2-3 skills to CC and that is it

Problem with Hunter in PVP is that their pets have 5k hp and get deleted in a few globals. Gl fighting Warriors
Finally, my class :D
I'll have to be honest. Is there any class that isn't better so far? I think the only one you covered so far that there was any overall downgrade is warrior, and that's not even because they are weaker. It's that they were so strong in classic and everyone else just got brought up to a similar level.
Fury warrior, Boomkin (stays the same really), Rogue (PvE). You can argue everyone else got better and they just stayed the same, but thats just semantics. If I gave everyone 1 billion dollars but you, you are getting screwed even though you are technically in the same spot you were before.
Great info
Actually curious: Is there a "second" gnome in the opening or am I just missing the joke? Cause the Mage is uh... not very hidden.
There's a gnome head popping out of the upper righthand corner at around 0:14 mark
woo another wille episode :DDD
How much of a dps difference is there between BM, MM and SV? I kind of want to level a hunter but BM sounds super boring being a 1 button macro.
I have no idea why I wasn't subbed to this channel yet
this my class boiiis
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
arcane shot doesn't dispel in vanilla
Arcane shot STILL dispels one magic effect.
Excuse me? Are you playing the same version of classic as me? 😛
Yeah that should have been NOW not still
I remember the damage from the snake trap feeling broken af, or was that in wrath? 🤔
never been
@@virgileusa ahh, I guess I had classic rose tinted glasses on lol
Wow I just searched this up, uploaded 15 minutes ago, what are the chances of this happening :O
One out of two, it either was that way, or it wasn't.
Odds of him searching it right before he uploaded
I heard from TBCC beta that the 1 button macro was nerfed, is that still true at this time?
I'm pretty sure it still exists. The macro is just executable commands, so unless they completely changed LUA, its unlikely there will be any change. If anything, people will figure out how to make it better.
Basically using the macro is a damage loss. Especially with higher haste numbers plus it's currently not really working losing you even more damage
TBC hunter macro mapped to mouse scroll wheel = 1st on damage meters.
Might have to have a hunter just to get all these cool new pets 😎
Only 5 pet slots in stables
@@cristhianmlr Ah, that's true. I'll just have to pick the 5 coolest looking ones 😎
People using the "one button" macros will be obvious compared to hunters that have mastered their rotation of abilities and pump even further with melee weaving. Do not roll into the class expecting to cheese through raids at a competitive level using those macros.
While I love the idea of higher skill ceilings, I do think you are underestimating human error and the resultant closing of most gaps.
I'll believe it when I see it. Melee weaving is a meme in Classic, and will likely remain as such in TBC. I get the feeling of wanting to feel "elite" by not using a 1 button rotation, but it's just that simple.
Was wondering why I wasn't enjoying WillE videos anymore, it's not a channel for casual players. Good stuff though!
Tbc classic is still in beta / ptr, isn’t it? When will they go live, can’t wait to farm primal fires
no PVP spec for Survival?
RIP
Hey WillE you really should split pvp season by season, because for all your videos so far you're speaking very broadly about stuff that changes. You mentioned beast mastery in season 1, but you didn't mention that for example drain hunter is nonexistent until late season 2 and in season 4 you can once again see damage/kill hunters. You did this in a few other videos as well for classes that change from season to season a lot.
No
Yea.
.. even with 3/3 expose weakness you cant have a 99% uptime on the boss - having 2/3 is straight up bad
good luck to any hunters in 2v2. i played it in vanilla tbc. every match against a heal+dps combo is 45 min+. enjoy...
yeah, resilience is pretty painful, not a big fan of TBC PvP
1 shot macro won't work in classic since it uses retail macro system, and only aim shot reset swing timer, wind serpent becomes BiS pet later on with better gear it's not behind Ravager overall only in the beginning, expose weakness still required some gear it wasn't just oh Hunters have a lot of crit so it will proc... lots of misinformation in this video.
This is the one we all have been waiting for...
They announced at blizzcon 1 button hunter will not work and is not a thing
Is broken tooth still viable??
I notice you don't have a section for pvp survival.
I find this a grave insult the the melee hunter community. You'll be hearing from our team of kitten lawyers
From support to slapper!
PVE and PVP BM hunter is the best choice until you get S tier gears
You can easily faceroll with just one button macro in TBC as a BM hunter. 14 years ago i level , raid and pvp gladiator with my hunter with just one single macro
Only Arena uses another 2-3 skills to CC and that is it
I feel like the answer for these will be yes for every class but warriors.
Holy Paladin and PvE Mage also take a tumble, as does PvP Shaman.
@@smallpseudonym2844 it seems like he's looking at the class overall, so paladins are overall better in TBC. As for mages, yeah, it could be argued they're worse.
@@seanwilliams7655 He gets more granular than just yes or no, though. But yes, Prot/Ret definitely are in a much better state overall.
@@smallpseudonym2844 you're right. I just went back and looked at the previous ones. He does break it down into PvE and PvP at least. Warrior was the only one that he just straight up said wasn't better in TBC.
