Hey all! Hope the video was a good one. I know I had already had a bit of fun at warriors expense in the warrior video but uuhhh.. originally I had done this one first, so I left the thing in at the start. Also about the pvp remarks, im sure part of the calling it easy is my ongoing memories of playing a shadow priest in actual tbc and the amount of things you had to go right in order to beat an SL/SL lock whilst they literally could press 123 on their dots and win fairly easily. Maybe that was just me though!
Nah WillE I agree with you. I entered TBC with a shadow priest and ended up rerolling to a hunter since I loved the pet management aspect of the class. My best friend at the time was a warlock. We knew each others account and passwords so we could play each other accounts if they were offline and were bored. I remember my buddy got hooked onto another game for a bit in TBC so I played his warlock a lot. And god damn, i felt like a PvP god whenever I played his lock. And i thought my BM hunter was OP meanwhile I remember easily being able to 2v1 people on my buddies lock easily in affliction or sl/sl. I even remember playing arenas with my lock buddy and would get pissed when he made simple mistakes, it came to the point where I knew his class better than he did. I originally was thinking about rolling a warlock in classic with mostly TBC in mind but made a warrior since I barely played any melee classes in old WoW expansions. Rogue is to squishy and cooldown dependent for my tastes. Most likely will use that lvl 58 boost on a lock. Already leveled a warrior, hunter and mage to 60, don't have the desire or motivation to do it for another class.
My BC experience was in order 70 Mage, 70 Hunter, 70 Shaman then I got a 70 Warlock... then slapped myself for not playing one sooner... it was just so busted.
Great video ! Lock was my original childhood class main in cataclysm and came back for classic and leveled a hunter got him fully geared which I really ended up regretting and now I’m following my instincts of rolling my fav nostalgic class
Destro fire was great for pve, I was top of dps from start of tbc until Sunwell. There is actually a rotation! Immolation, incinerate and conflag. The base damage is actually higher than shadow bolt because you always had immolation up, only lapsing when you use conflag when it's about to expire. It also has a faster cast time, 2.25 vs 2 5. It was amazing with hit and crit gear. You could also get a mini buff from a herb in zangermarsh that increases your fire damage for 15 seconds. Seed of corruption is still op, and alot of encounters weren't aoe until later raids were released. Basically every boss is single damage. Everyone has this weird mindset that shadowbolt is bis
I definitely went fire lock. 7/0/54 ftw. I did keep separate gear for fire resist boss fights, like that bird (?) for example (otherwise i'd use fire dmg belt etc). Another fun bit was 2v2 arena. It was a shadow priest and i, so the opponents would quickly pop into shadow resist gear...only to get killed by fire. The tanking was easy as a fire lock ofc. Always used to end up 3-manning scholo and stuff (lock-priest-mage) before tbc and that just continued in tbc. The tanking gear in tbc was expensive, but the guild loves it when there's someone taking one for the team. (The other locks loved it too, cause their dmg was higher in comparison haha.) Fire is definitely underrated...
I’m sure there is a hundered different comments saying this but currently on the warlock discord there is a lot of information out there saying fire lock will out preform shadow warlock! Just thought I’d mention it since the video said they wouldn’t be seen!
I played destro all through og tbc. Was consistently top dps, and outdid aff locks. Also very powerful in pvp. Destro being slept on by most guides out now.
This is good information to have, I'm hoping to have a computer that can run BC by the time it drops, and knowing what all changed between the versions will help with decision making if I get there...
I also preleveled a warlock just for BC. People at the time were saying I was wasting my time because either BC wouldn't come or we weren't sure it would. Bet they feel stupid now.
Fire is great spec to have opener in pvp but the incinerate and immolate scaling with haste is worse than shadowbolt and life tap doesn't receive extra mana if imp is sacrificed
You forgot to mention instant Aoe Fear in deep Affli. Pretty solid for Pvp. I always played lock as a main and was thinking about going this spec for arena. We'll see...
Omg.. WillE where did you get that vid/clip at 13:09-13:20!? Dont tell me you were there haha! Eternal-Gathering was it, right? If my memory is right.. Damn now i got nostalgic for real..
In AV I used to spread my seed through the hills (spells could actually go through the rock) onto hordes of players...once one of them goes boom the rest follows. I would just devistate the incomming enemies
which spec is best for lvling. I know felguard is best if u dont have gear cuz the pet has dmg doesnt scale up that much with much better gear so the shittier the gear the more % dmg the felguard does relative to your dmg woudl be alot higher. But if u have some nice sexy gear would aff be better with the slutcubus for solo lvling?
I just got a boosted warlock and built it to the destruction skill tree and I’m already regretting it lmao. Imma go back and redo it suck that it’s either demo or afflic.
I'm probably going to try fire destro anyway as I'm a bit sick of shadowbolt spamming after classic to see if there's really that much difference in practice.
I have a feeling ppl on 3s will kill your pet. Season 2 and 3 warlocks are very good for pvp but 4 all melee class become strong I remember when I was played back then. Something coming my mind to ask what do you think about tir5 2 pic 15% heal pet for arena?
A lot of rerollers will be shocked about the PvP "Performance" of Warlocks....There is multiple things people forget. Even in Originall TBC Locks only Dominated Season 1 and 2 there is multiple reasons why it will be harder this time around. 1. Resilience changes .....in my opinion this never worked propper on privat servers and it is a huge nerf for locks 2. People will kill your pet in seconds (in Season 1 and 2 back in the day ppl would not even bother to touch ur pet) 3. EVERY Rogue will be Undead Horde side.... But there is also good news. 1. UA is still criminally underrated in PvP ,the dmg u do as UA lock is insane 2. Open world PvP ....unless it is an Undead Rouge with Preperation ready u do not need to worry at all...jsut turn your monitor on 30 seconds after u get attacked and you will be fine.
Hope u are joking. Hunter will be waay more popular, even mages and shadow priests. Warlock has never been the most popular class in WoW ever. In PvP, Rogues also will be way popular than locks.
You want 1 point in Shadow Embrace simply because it counts as another debuff which counts towards the amount of bonus healing you receive back from drainlife. going full affliction till 70 is the way to go, it should last you until you get some pvp gear to go SL SL spec. Affliction "seems" weak only doing 350-400 dmg per dot, but you have like 7 dots that are all hitting for that much. I didn't even pvp on mine when leveling and guys tried to duel me and i killed them ridiculously easy, instant 20 sec CD howl of terror is WAY BETTER than deathcoil, save deathcoil against a healer when it gets to 30-25% health and starts to cast a heal and you win.
I plan to play fire destro since all the SIMs I have seen say it is better till SWP, and even then it's very close. I will also be grabbing/making shadow gear for aoe.
For solo aoe farming, mage is still gonna be superior. But in a raid setting, seed of corruption is insanely good. You may miss all the mage's aoe utility like frost nova, cone of cold and blink. You never talk about what counters the class in PvP. What do you take to punish warlocks?
Willie, thanks for the vid...pretty sure the meta demo spec is affliction based though, not destro

OMG i legit thought the same thing xD
whats nhym
Who? I know Nyhm but not Nnnhhymymm
Theres a name I havent heard in a long time.

Resilience gear

Slightly conditional because you need a fire mage to keep debuff stacks up, otherwise the Shadow Locks should surpass Fire.
I like how the Belf lock was identical in appearance to Nhym. Nice throwback.
I mean it’s a tier set
who is nhym
@@oct2119960 No shit, but he also chose the exact BE features nyhm had.
Glad to see Nhym found work here in Will Es video

human one too i presume? rogues will be sweating bullets
Hello brother! I did the same. I am ready!
Finally!! been waiting for this vid since you started this series
love the Nyhm reference!
I remember leveling lock is always affli with imp on passive.... and you just dot and fear everything that moves

That warrior looks just like me. I am personally offended by this.

Never clicked so fast lol

You're limited in any spec that's not sl/sl. Melee classes will sit on you and destroy you.
Is the Blood Elf modeled after Nyhm?
I was just thinking that. Ahh the good old days.
a bit yes lol, I was gonna do a gnome originally like my main, but I did that for the mage, so I decided to go throwback for nyhm instead
Looked on PVE talents as Warlock and was like cool, I literaly do same thing as in classic, but this time Im gonna be TOP dps insted of worst
Hunters will dominate the recounts on most bosses anyway
Warlocks are beast in tbc, plus they have the most badass looking sets in the entire game
Hey wille great information as always, they did confirm the summoning change will NOT be in at launch.
I'm so happy we will get back here in time!
"They took my world buffs!" i though that was funny
I like doing big dmg 🤣🤣🤣 i was all out 🤣🤣🤣
I wonder how good the shadoweave set and 2 of the malefic set would be for farming you should be gaining a ton of health
Hopefully I will have at least one class at 60 when tbc goes live.
Same bruv... Currently only lvl 28
play a mage trust
So the next video will be the best at the finish. nice.
can u explain y u are getting improved immolate with the shadow destruction spec. Is it still worth to immolate and then spam shadow bolt?
I just watch these videos over and over again , just because i like them so much man !

Not really
I'm a frost mage and highly considering switching to Warlock after hearing the AOE is up there with Mage. Sold.

warlock are amazing tho, especially when theyre bald
Here we go
imp take less damage as its ranged so you can go demonology destruction instead succubus demo destruction if you want to go demo destruc
Will TBC update for 80 level dude ? thx
i cant decide between mage hunter and warlock.
Why do you place 1/5 talent points into improved corruption as demonology, but 5/5 as affliction? You say it's not worth spending more than 1 point due GCD, but then why place 4 more points into that talent as affliction?
I already see a ton of them. Sucks for us real warlocks
Saving the best for last I see.
Its Worth to have imp Firestone while lvling in demo since you pet atack power increase with your bonus fire dmg
Some People like to drop soul leech because it makes some threat, less threat = more dmg
And on most fights its Worth to do more than Just shadowbolt
About t5, it sucks set bonuses are not really good and stats are weak. Also the t5 tokens are prio for arcane mages and hunters
You keep your t4 2 set up to t6
