This one is so dreamy ❤ I love the fact that it's not a strong leather! My favourite line by far. I find the same base used in all of this line, but introduced different notes to make each one slightly different. Wonderful review!
Love love love this one. My favourite in the line. Cuir Beluga to me, means the finest, white leather. Pale and soft. Everyone who smelled this after a hug has said it smelled great and asked what it was.
Just picked this up as my first high end Guerlain fragrance. I agree with your review. It is extremely well done and very luxurious feeling, but not groundbreaking. Personally I am glad I picked this up.
this is one of the most elegant "leathers' I've ever smelled. It has hints of Desprez in the dry down (like 6 hours later). it has incredible longevity i was thoroughly impressed, and yes it may be a tad 'boring" in the sense that it isn't a daring fragrance but man, i feel like I'm wearing the finest tuxedo whenever i wear this. Superb!
Sounds like I'll have to pass on this one and continue the search for an exciting cuir at a decent price. You've mentioned the women's Bottega Veneta edp a few times in passing now, I'm wondering if you have it in you to do a full review on it? It sounds right up my alley. SOTD is Cartier Declaration d'un Soir
ÉGreetings Eugene: Ty 4 your fabulous take on this scent Sir! It’s not the most popular or talked about offering from the L’art Ét La Matière Series...., but it’s still one that has always fascinated me... I own Rose Barbare & Angelique Noire, so I am refreshed to see you speak of this one...
Great video Eugene as always enjoy the content just picked up 8oz bottle of vintage Chanel eau de cologne no5 thanks to you for always encouraging to not limited our selfs to just male marketed perfumes #wackpack
I totally get the play-dohy vibe, probably from the uniform combo of amber, patchouli and heliotrope. Amber or labdanum never have that effect on my skin unless combined with something earthy; and even then, the blend has to be on point. A great scent for sure, but hardly daring. Thanks Eugene!
Did you try to layer it with eau de cashmere ? I just understood it was the main purpose of eau de cashmere, to be layered with other Guerlains to add some depth and longevity. Nice review, I still prefer its cousin Cuir d’Ange but it’s a nice scent indeed
I don't have any of the Eau from that range, cashmere is intended for clothing i believe and a new one will be launched very soon. I also prefer Cuir d'Ange by a long shot.
That’s also what I thought, but someone told me at Guerlain’s boutique that eau de cashmere could be layered to improve any Guerlain scent. I checked on basenotes, some say that too, I’ll give it a try next time I go there
Eugene, i'm sorry for being off topic, but i don't really trust other reviewers anymore. Could you please tell me what do you think about Guerlain Vetiver Extreme?
This is one of only 4 from this line that I have bought and continue to wear. It is soft, boring, maybe, but absolutely gorgeous to live in for the day.
I have this bottle, but he one with the stupid bulb atomizer.. I honestly like the frag, but resent the bottle design with the bulb.. so aggravating. But really good frag.
I remember in 2009 I think, I was I. Melbourne and went to smell Sdv, it was RUclips hyped at the time. I ended up loving this and tonka impériale more at the time. My girlfriend wear this tough, as it smells better on her I think.
Great review, man! I agree with a lot said here. One thing I have to disagree with is it not being salty, on my skin, it is quite salty giving it a leathery/suede play-doh feel but I don't think it's really a cuir. I actually can see it being boring only because it's pretty linear but I find it to be very well nuanced which keeps it from being boring. Now, it's by no means anywhere near Guerlain’s masterpieces, but it's fucking great for what it is. 4/5 #packwack
U Smells Good yeah pretty salty to me, I think that’s what mostly leads people to believe that it smells like Play-doh. Play-doh is pretty salty in smell. A Play-doh sculpture of a woman’s figure. Haha I also get quite a bit of anise that I never really noticed before.
@@Kos0818 Interesting you say Anise and i'm not sure if pick it up but i feel like some things in Cuir Beluga remind me of L'Heure Bleu which is swimming in Anise.
for the price...absolutely not a buy for me. I think you would like Bottega Vaneta pour homme Parfum...its a dry incense/leather fragrance..lasts well.

It does smell great!
My favorite from the line, my favorite vanilla, and possibly my favorite Guerlain.
It's a good one to favour.
Happy to see your new video! And glad to see all the other reviews back online again!

Wearing it today, so sublime, true art.

Hay man. I am a real big guerlain fan and I love that you do to. This is so great. Thanks for your awesome work dude. Andy from Berkeley

I got Guerlain Habit Rouge L'eau today. It's pretty good!

No one does vanilla any justice like Guerlain does. The only regret is that I didn't purchase Iris Ganache while it was available in 75 ml.
gahh me too, and now i'm chasing those IG exclusive Bee's from France

Really good to hear that, wear them in health!
Exactly how i feel about this one! Great critical analysis Eugene!

Great review... I’ve always been on the fence with this one, my faves from this collection are Bois d’Armenie & Angelique Noire.
Some more great ones.

My fav of the line.
To be worn with a dark chalkstripe suit.would shine on an older gentleman.

Haha the subtitles. “Gear Loans Queer Beluga”
haha

Not tried this. Any recommendations for animalic leather fragrance?
I mention a bunch in the video

I agree, can't stand that bottle!

There are so many good ones in the collection.
I'd recommend Vanille by Reminiscence as a replacement, and lot cheaper.
Love leather and Guerlain. I can’t wait to sniff this one out
Great review - I have it and think you describe it v well

Really? I don't get any of that salty lovers skin. Hoping for some in Cuir Intense.

I think it's a beautiful scent but honestly I wouldn't pay full retail for this. Would rather go for bois darmenie without blinking
I was thinking of getting this, but I think it is too feminine for me. You had me at compliments
Save some money and get Invictus for compliments

Robert Perricone Check out his video about his best and worst pickups of 2018. Bottega Veneta is mentioned.
i have a long time ago and i dont believe he mentioned the mens Parfum..only the orig and the following one..not the parfum
thats why i mentioned it.
