SoldOut X deathcore breakdowns are pretty cool sometimes, but metalcore breakdowns are shit. Sometimes core bands take breakdowns way over the top and just incorporate them into the entire song from start to finish... and a lot of them sound the exact same. They’re too predictable. Also some of them start with some cringey pre breakdown vocals. Pantera’s approach at breakdowns were awesome because they were hyped up by sick solos or fast, complex guitar playing throughout the whole song. They’re never really predictable. Breakdowns are cool, they just have to be done right. You will not find a guitarist in core bands as good or as complex as dimebag.

If you like the vibe of the group, check out their home video, Vulgar Video (it's where this song is from. There's a few on there like this). I still have my copy on VHS. You'll love it. A real piece of cultural history.
Squirrel Master dude yes. Me and my ex had the vulgar videos on VHS. They're on RUclips too! My 11 year old still walks around randomly saying "no coffee pots, no coffee pots, no coffee pots YEAH!" That shit is imprinted in his brain forever.
Scrolling through reacts from the beginning and soooo glad to see Pantera pop up. One of the greatest metal bands EVER!!! I hope there's more. My first metal concert was Pantera, Sepultura and Biohazard at a small venue in the 90s. Also my first time in a pit. You can imagine how that went. Lol
I bet the energy there is through the roof. You'd have no choice but to pumped with everyone else. To have that many people come together and just rock out with each other is truly amazing.
Lindsey Lane you should watch the whole video this live performance is from. Pantera home video 2. All 3 of their home videos are great. There was going to be a 4th but of course dimebag was murdered om stage. So it never happened.
7:36 - That's how those eastern European shows go! Those crowds are amazing. Puts Coachella to shame. Those stadium shows, and festivals always have MEGA SUPER CROWDS! You should go to a show overseas! Put it on your bucket list!!!
its going to be a long time before something can draw a crowd like this. since everything that was going on that lead to this concert, which was free too which just makes it bigger lol
I’ve watched this reaction every couple of weeks for multiple years just to watch you yell “let’s go! This amps me up! This amps me up!” I love when music gives us uncontrollable emotions. It’s so pure.
The reason why there are so many people 500,000 to be exact. This is in Moscow. It’s pantera and Metallica at that concert and a couple others. The concert was free. This was edited found out there was over a million people
Huge Pantera fan and not even gonna fucking lie, new to the channel and watching you get goose bumps gave me goose bumps. Seeing you get so excited was pretty fucking awesome.
It's good that youre finally getting to know this side of music. The feelings it elicits, the passion it inspires. The sense of camerarderie- I mean, you can see the crowds here, and thats nothing unusual! There is no other form of music that inspires this. None. Welcome to the family.
Phil stated in an interview that when they played, there was about 800,000 people in the audience. When AC/DC came on it was between 1.3 and 1.6 million people in the audience.
I never leave RUclips comments but have to say, since I'm sure you've heard about dimebag, you have to react to Black Label Society's song titled "In This River". The man behind Black Label was great friends with dimebag and dedicated the song he had just written to him. The video is a hit right to the feels man.
I've seen a few of your reaction videos and I have to say this one is by far my favorite. I'm a huge fan of Pantera, and to see someone else who is unfamiliar with the band get amped up, is truly awesome. This song just kicks ya in the face right from the rip. The reaction to the crowd size was warranted, but can we just honor the reaction to the breakdown? GOLD!! Keep up the great energy Alex! Love and Respect.
You have SOOOO many Pantera songs to experience yet my friend. Just wait there is PLENTY more where this comes from!! Enjoy them because they are fucking AWESOME! RIP DIME & VINNIE
To truly understand the totality of this concert you’ve had to had played in front of an audience before. Then you have to multiply that by millions and you might have a glimpse. The energy and adrenaline can raise hell.
Ferdinand Gayod you're wrong. alot of peoples were influenced by Heavy Metal at that time & these are the band they requested. They did not just go there performed like a strangers. They were requested. I was 17 years old at that time, me and my dad, my friends heard Pantera before they came. Alot of people already knew who's gonna perform..
Hectic Reacts - How awesome would it be if you two collaborated or teamed up like Lost In Vegas!? \m/ Edit: Not that there's anything wrong with your channels as they are or anything ;)
Check out cowboys from hell or cemetery Gates. There later is much calmer but cowboys from hell really encompasses the true feel of Pantera. Well, the album titled cowboys from hell is, in my opinion, their best.
Ahh...... I miss my era... The 80s and 90s were the best years for music, at least for metal. You go to a stadium show now and it pales in comparison to what it used to be. The technological world killed the feeling for congregating to shows. I had the privilege to see Pantera 7 times and each time it was fucking amazing RIP Abbot Brothers.

All of my Pantera shirts ended up torn up and unwearable. Such is the life of the spirit of the music.
There's a reason so many people come to see rock/metal bands. Takes talent to make it!
Lol
Its from 1991 Monsters of rock concert in moscow. there was about 500 000 people in the area, and it was great! pantera metallica ac/dc
Kamil Hobb there was 1.5million actually o.o
Yup, around 1.5 million of headbangers from all the USSR. I personally know some men who were there:)
it was sendoff for USSR
You should familiarize yourself with Dimebag Darrell. He’s at the top of the heap when it comes to 6 string instruments
Dimebag wrote heavier material 25 years ago on a 6 string than people are today on an 8 string
Hell fucking yea dimebag will always be the best guitarists in history
When I hear this solo and breakdown, my eyes tear up. I want to cry man. The most beautiful transition ever
Dude. Every time I watch this, the crowd ROARING gives me freaking chills.
Pantera !!! rip dimebag darrell 12-8-04 and vinnie paul 6-22-18
Dang the day Dimebag Darrell died (from being shot by an insane fan, around a year after Pantera disbanded) was a few months before I was born.
As I know, there were 1.5 million people in that concert.
Ramiro Santillán and when metallica played later that show there was approximately 4 million. idk
The decade of the music festivals...... Bringing nostalgia to-my soul.....🤍🤟🏼
was waiting for dimebag solo just to look at this guy's face reacting like he saw a god
Well he saw fucking dimebag so he did
I bet the energy there is through the roof.
Lindsey Lane 😍😍
7:36 - That's how those eastern European shows go! Those crowds are amazing. Puts Coachella to shame. Those stadium shows, and festivals always have MEGA SUPER CROWDS! You should go to a show overseas! Put it on your bucket list!!!
what a great idea! bucket list for sure
its going to be a long time before something can draw a crowd like this. since everything that was going on that lead to this concert, which was free too which just makes it bigger lol
You damn right. There was 1.6 million people at that concert that day. Fucking massive.
this whole song is one big breakdown
I’ve watched this reaction every couple of weeks for multiple years just to watch you yell “let’s go! This amps me up! This amps me up!” I love when music gives us uncontrollable emotions. It’s so pure.
Fun fact: pantera made a special song that was in the spongebob episode pre-hibernation and the song goes by the same name.
Sebastian Martinez its not a special song is just a sample of Death Rattle
Mauricio Manson well I don’t listen to Pantera that much
Sebastian Martinez well now you know brother!
His reaction to Dimes solos Is how I feel every time I hear him
The reason why there are so many people 500,000 to be exact.
RIP Vinnie Paul Abbott
RIP Vinnie Paul AND Dimebag!
Greatest breakdown since mine last week 😂
Pantera - Fucking Hostile.
GODZ STR8SHOOTER02 FUCKING HOSTILE!!!
Psycho Holiday
13 Steps
Pantera - This love. Its just heavy af man, yet so melodic.
Wonky Wallaby 88 My man! My favorite song from pantera, that sick ass drop in the end makes me go wild
Fuck yeah
Bryce Cole I’m Brooooooken !!
RIP Vinnie Paul and Dimebag, you were Gods amongst men.
Bru- one of the best front Men, Lead guitarists and drummers in Metal. Ever. Great video!
To truly understand the totality of this concert you’ve had to had played in front of an audience before. Then you have to multiply that by millions and you might have a glimpse. The energy and adrenaline can raise hell.
RIP Dime and now RIP Vinnie, too. At least the brothers will be together again, but sadder days for the rest of us.
Remember Officer Nigemeyer erased him soon after. At least he doesn't draw breath anymore.
ViolentLotus I knew you knew, I was more or less reminding everyone else who ended that fuck.
Their dad, Country singer Jerry Abbott, outlived them.
1.2 million during Pantera's set.....by the time Metallica took the stage there was 1.6 million people rocking their asses off
I'M F'DUP 1.1mil people came for metallica
And alot more for ACDC..
Just bear in mind that during that time, nobody knew who Pantera was.
RIP Dime and Vinnie
I’m actually jealous on this guy - wishing I could hear Pantera again for the first time
Great reaction as always bro! Keep up the solid work.
Hectic Reacts The both of ye needa react to In This Moment - Black Wedding feat. Judas Priest's Rob Halford.
Checkout Metallica Master of Puppes live in Seattle 89. This was absolutely insane. I love your vids! Keep it up!
Hectic errrrrrrwhere!!
Hectic Reacts - How awesome would it be if you two collaborated or teamed up like Lost In Vegas!? \m/
Edit: Not that there's anything wrong with your channels as they are or anything ;)
Hecticcc sup brah
Check out cowboys from hell or cemetery Gates. There later is much calmer but cowboys from hell really encompasses the true feel of Pantera. Well, the album titled cowboys from hell is, in my opinion, their best.
Also, make sure that if it is cemetery gates, it is the album version, not the video one.
Are you saying that their later albums were calmer?
Mr. Scott 🤘👊
Caylie Fuller i second far beyond driven
How is Pantera's later albums calmer than their early ones?
That was Monsters of Rock in Moscow 1991. The third biggest concert EVER in history of mankind!!! 1.6 million rockers. Hell yeah!
