I always look forward to your quilt patterns and this one did not disappoint! I will admit when I saw curves I thought, "Nope! Not for me. Too complicated." I'm glad I kept watching because I think it's something I can do! Your style of teaching makes me feel like I CAN do it!
Oooh, this is something I'll need to consider. My guild is asking us to take a 'circle challenge' - and each make a small wall hanging featuring curves. I've *NEVER* tackled them before...this might be a good option!!
So glad to see you🎉💗💗💗 Welcome back!! Missed you soooo much! Praying over you & your sweet family. Thank you for the new curvy ideas:) You are precious.💗💗💗💗💗💗
Oh my goodness, thank you, thank you. I have had a very large banner for our church on my sewing room floor for 2+ years. There are numerous curves and I could not figure out why they are not going together. There was no pattern (hence no directions) just a picture which someone had blown up for me. I never thought about the crust and pie connections needing to be different sizes. You are a dream....I can finally get this off my sewing room floor! ❤️ Bless you for your information!
Awesome quilt, love the bears. My very first quilt was a version of this block, but all the same size block. I actually hand pieced it, the funny part is I started it in my 20’s and finished it in my 60’s. In between that gap life took on a busy role. Still like the block today. Thanks for sharing your version. 👍❤️😊
Thank you! I am a curve and swirl girl living in a world of corners. Love dresden, wedding ring, orange peel, cathedral window, etc but love a little modern. Have been a little afraid of curves. This makes me think I have a chance.
Thank you for sewing (and explaining in detail) at a pace I could easily follow. I do tend to stay away from patterns with curves but with your video I may just need to practice 😉🧵🪡✂️
Yay! You’re back! Love the blocks and your thorough, encouraging instruction. The fabric is hecka cute:) You always give me confidence that I can make whatever you demonstrate. Thank you!
Thank you Megan for this wonderful tutorial on curves. A quilt like this is in my dreams but who knows some bright morning it may come to fruition! Have a great day!
Welcome back! I hope you and your family had a great summer. The math of this really challenges my math deficient brain. That ruler would be mandatory for me to do it. But I don't think this is in my immediate future because something that really stood out to me is the quilting and the large open spaces created by these blocks - I'm not a FMQ nor can I afford to send them out. Straight line quilting on this would be super daunting for me. I love the way yours turned out - really cute!
Make some pot holders for Christmas gifts for practice pieces. Two birds, one stone. I usually use one layer of cotton batting and one layer of heat blocking material for filling then a backing piece. Be sure to include instructions that they are NOT to be used in the microwave because the metal filaments will get hot enough to set the cotton fabric and batting on fire. Have fun!
You can either sew around the edges, backing and face fabrics right sides together with an opening for turning right side out and topstitch the edges or sew a binding around the raw edges.
Thank you, this is a great pattern. I am not in the market for new rulers right now, although that looks like a good one. I likely will do improve curves.
What a super-sweet quilt!!! You make it look easy 🤪 Congratulations on growing your *quilt orchard* here on RUclips, so very fruitful!!! Love you!! Miss seeing y’all! 🧵🪡✂️💕
Great video! You remind me of a highschool friend so I get nostalgia from your videos, as well as great tips! You are always so clear and interesting! What part of the country are you from? Trying to place the accent.
Question - is it possible to use paper templates with a rotary cutter? Or do you have to use fabric scissors, like cutting out a garment pattern, because there's no ruler edge for the rotary cutter to glide along? thank you for FINALLY explaining curved piecing in a way that makes sense to my brain, I have been holding off on trying curves because I have already blown through my sewing supplies budget for the year and am holding off on buying any more rulers or acrylic templates!
Curves can be scary for many. Thanks for making this video to help reduce the fear. Question on the leftover pie and crust. Why not put then together to create a 7th block in the bundle? Or for another project?
You could certainly save them for another project but they don't fit together as there is a big gap between them. You could grab a scrap and cut the missing piece though :)

Love that you are back…hope the kiddies are enjoying the nice weather….
Megan, you are a genius! Thanks for explaining how to use the circle ruler to good advantage.
Fabulous sewing circles tutorial! The way you teach and describe things makes it easy to understand the technique. Thank you!

Thank you for a fantastic video on curved piecing. I made a quilt with curved pieces and it was a huge learning curve, you make it look so easy!🤓
Loved your explanation. I've seen this block done before. But you explained the process very clearly. This is definitely a "to do" project!
Glad to see you back, life has all sorts of demands besides quilting but it's nice to see you again. As usual I learn so much from you.
Thank you for sewing (and explaining in detail) at a pace I could easily follow. I do tend to stay away from patterns with curves but with your video I may just need to practice 😉🧵🪡✂️

Straight line quilting would be great on any quilt! I have quilted many a quilt with straight lines :)
Very clear & well demonstrated; thank you! Looking forward to your next video🤗
Great video and you make it look so easy! Thank you for the free pattern.
Nice to see you, Megan! Curves, yikes! I've been wanting to get more experience with them, and your tutorial was really helpful.

Good to see you, Megan! Great tutorial (as always 😉) with super fun fabric!
nice explanation of what the left hand needs to do. Thanks
Thank you for such an excellent tutorial. I usually pin curved pieces like crazy but next time I’m going to try your method.

Great video! I'm inspired to try curves for the first time. Thanks so much.
Great explanation! You made it understandable and non-threatening. I have done circles once before, but I may tackle them again. Thanks.
Must admit I was just saying to a friend yesterday that I have not attempted curves. Your explanation and demonstrations is excellent. Thanks 🇦🇺
Thanks again for a great tutorial. I really enjoy your instructional technique and look forward to your posts.
Thanks Liz!
Great to see you back. You make curves look so easy; will have to have another go.

Thanks sandra!! I feel like I haven't been at a meeting in ages! I'll be at the next one :)
@@TinyOrchardQuilts I am not currently a member, busy helping with grandsons and other things-- not quilting a lot. Tell everyone hello!!! 🫶🏻
Fascinating!
Nice tutorial. I want to try curves.
Thank you
Very nice! Thank you
I love it. I have some old C+S layer cakes. Thank you for showing use that curves aren't scary. What if you don't have a seam guide like yours?
Such a great tutorial - thank you!
Great video! You remind me of a highschool friend so I get nostalgia from your videos, as well as great tips! You are always so clear and interesting! What part of the country are you from? Trying to place the accent.
So cool
This is such an awesome video. I’m excited to try it sometime soon!
Can I ask where did you get your seam guide for your sewing machine?
Awesomeness
I see that you have a Juki as well. Love mine! What kind of seam guide are you using and where did you find it?
Question - is it possible to use paper templates with a rotary cutter? Or do you have to use fabric scissors, like cutting out a garment pattern, because there's no ruler edge for the rotary cutter to glide along?

Lovely quilt!
Where did you get your seam guide? I’m always looking to improve my 1/4” seams.
Curves can be scary for many. Thanks for making this video to help reduce the fear.

Glad
What is the name of the adorable fabric you used?
Where did you purchase the pincushion/box?
❤❤❤
Cleaver girl
I don’t want to buy a $50 ruler - wish you showed how to use templates
Thank you
Thanks!
