Thrilled to see you back! You look fabulous and your happiness just bubbles over!! Good for you for realizing what you needed and working toward it. Looking forward to seeing whatever videos you choose to share with us!
Phoenix will change you. I escaped in April this year to Kentucky, and I am so much happier. I'm still trying to get my quilting mojo back on. You truly look happier and healthier! Welcome back!
Megan - yes, I've missed seeing you and your ideas.. I'm so glad to see you are alright and doing things you love. Thank you for being brave and making this video. Whatever you want to post is fine by me. I learn something every time. And no pressure on frequency - you do you. I love rewatching the old posts too. Sending my very best wishes, and sending my thanks for any content you chose to create.
I've been quilting for 21 years and the past 3 years I also became burnt out. Quilting only by requested projects. I then started hiking and lost 70 lbs. This year I got back into quilting and found my enjoyment in quilting. Not giving up on hiking but enjoying both equally. Quilting will keep me from hiking burnout, hiking will keep me from quilting burnout. You can have both!
We have missed you! I am looking forward to seeing you blossom as you continue to find your quilting joy again. Enjoy your renewed passion, improved health (physical, mental and emotional). Yay you!!!!
I totally understand how we can get consumed with our craft then a burnout. Time is too short. We need to prioritize and everything will fall in place. Congratulations on your weight loss. It’s a good start to share what you went through . We can all relate or been there.
Glad you are back. Can see the weight loss. So happy you are taking time to care for yourself. You were definitely missed and can’t wait to see what you share next. Your style of instruction works well for me and gets me excited about projects.
I’m happy you are back, and I love to see you so radiant . Please, don’t ask what to do, just do what you want to. Personally I would love to see your hand and slow stitching, if you want to. Thank you for sharing.
I have only watched the first min and 24 sec of your video and then stopped. I want to say you have no commitment to the "you tube " world. Your biggest commitment is to you. Your health and peace of mind. Then to your loved ones. Life changes all the time. It has taken me a lot of time to do this in my own world. Life is precious. You look fabulous. Figure out what you want to do and why. You are also a good teacher and quilter. I hope your journey continues to be a happy one. Now I will watch the rest of your video.
I only had the opportunity to watch one of your video's and went to your page to see what else you had to offer. You explain things so well and for me, some quilters assume to much for my brain. lol The I saw your last video and said immediately... this woman had made a transformation in her life. What a blessing. Like I tell my grandchildren (I have 22 so far), take time to breath and enjoy the thing around you. You are doing marvelous. Have a blessed day.
Oef ... you're ok. I missed you too. I've had a burnout also about 13 years ago. The most important thing is that you feel good ... the rest will follow . Big hug xxx
I’m so glad you’re back, and feeling good about you. I’m 67 and learned last year I MUST take care of me. Then, I can devote healthy and quality time to others. Bless you in this journey, you look at peace, rested, and satisfied. Along with beautiful as always. Remember you are not selfish. You are important to many.
I totally understand. In 2022 I put my house up for sale in the first room to be packed up was my craft room and everything just went in a haphazard manner into bins. I did take everything with me. But I did not quilt again from may all way around the year until the next September. My long armer called me in August. She was putting on a 1 day. Quilt retreat and wondered if I would like to join them. I was going to call her and say no. I'm not quilting anymore but then I thought I have all this material. I don't have. To spend any money to do this so let's go. I enjoy the women that were going and maybe i'd get my mojo back and I think maybe I have I've settled down South for the winter. I've just been here 4 days now. But I think I have and maybe you're starting up again. Will get me going thank you
Oh Megan, bless your heart. Evidence of your weight loss was the first thing I saw. It also made me afraid that you have been devastatingly ill and you were going to say goodbye, but you look fantastic! My burnout has lasted this past four years, so I completely understand. I am thrilled that you are back and it gives me hope to be back soon, too. Take care, please. As you requested, I would love to see videos on you projects, from start to finish. Though I have to say whatever you can share would be very nice. Thank you for your update, it has given me great joy!
I'm very happy to see you. Thank you for sharing your story. It may help others focus on the higher priorities. Your health is paramount. Congratulations!
Absolutely take care of yourself first! Your channel is terrific and I have learned soooo much, but never would any of us want to learn at the expense of your physical/emotional health. When you are ready, we will be here. Until then, cheering you on!!! Happy 2025❤
I've thought about you many times and have missed you, your smile, your sweet spirit and your phenomenal Talent! I'm so excited for you and how you have done the hard work to be in the place that makes you happy! With that said I hope you continue and make the videos and styles of videos, vlog/tutorials, that bring you the most happiness. Do what you want to do and we will watch it! ❣️💙🤗
Thank you for your honesty and courage. It's easy for life to overwhelm, and quilting can be an activity that is hard on our bodies. You are a great example to all of us fans--of all ages, abilities, and sizes--that putting your mental and physical health first means you have way more time and energy for the things we truly love.
Take it from an "old gal"... when the pressures on the fun is gone... your well being is key and you look FABULOUS.... ps... I too "do too much of anything i love"... it's taken me a long time to figure it all out! God Bless.. Hugs, GrammaBabs
Happy to hear that you have been taken the time you needed to care of yourself and your family. I'm glad you are ready to come back because I enjoy your teaching style.
Great to see you and wonderful to hear about your revelations. It’s a process like choosing fabrics, patters and doing the work. And it’s all about leading from the heart towards your family, your work and YOU.
Omg'ness! I've missed you! Okay, I'll go watch video now.... Thank you for the update. You look marvelous! It's good you took time for you. I/we look forward to whatever content you decide to post. We're just glad you're back 😊
Yay, you are back. Any video that YOU want to make that makes you happy is what I want to see. Thank you for the update. You look happy and healthy!!! So glad you'll continue to do videos...at whatever pace that ends up being.
Welcome back, some times we just need to step back and take care of ourselves, I was headed to burn out and decided to take Tom for The Colorblind quilter advice and just something quilt/sewing related daily for 15-30 minutes.
Oh wow! I am so happy to see you and glad to know that you are ok w your loved ones….I love your contents as long as is sprinkle w love and joy….bring it on, girlfriend!!!
I appreciate you and the time, energy and sacrifice you've donated for us to learn and enjoy quilting. Of course I'd love to see more tutorials but it's most important for you to find your happy place and take care of yourself first. Share what you can and what you want, when you want. ❤ Thanks for helping me 😊❤😊❤
I'm very glad you listened to your heart and stopped pushing yourself so hard. Crafting and especially quilting for a living is tough! House flood, total renovation, pregnancy and more fun stuff meant my brain didn't work quite right from 2020 to 2022. When I finally got back to work in a real way, I then had to stop and make some major business changes. Hang in there. Be still and listen to your gut. Once I started listening to what my body needed, life got a lot simpler and easier.
It happens, life happens. I didn’t go into my studio for three years one time. It took a loved one finding out she had cancer and two months later to all of our surprise and borrow she died. Those two months I had with her we discussed what turns out to be really important. Family, friends, doing what makes you smile, giggle and making memories for the little ones in your life. Writing hand written letters to loved ones to inspire, show appreciation and to give them something tangible to hang on to when you have passed. Be gentle with yourself. Remember that creative things I hands your life in so many ways but there are so many different ways to be creative.❤❤❤❤
So wonderful to see you back. I’ve missed you! Karen Brown called her slump losing her SewJo. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for over 30 years and getting “stuck” many times. But quilting has changed my life, giving me activities beyond my own needs. In 2024 I plan to make quilts for 2 more granddaughters, finish all of my WIPS, and making quilts for Project Linus and other charities. Then I plan to start making quilts that I love-starting with my Pansy’s Posies fabric and go from there. That probably takes me into 2025. But you know what they says about God laughing at our plans. Please take care of yourself!!! We need your sweet discussions and warm smiles!!!
I have missed you but glad you took the time to focus on yourself. You look Fantastic and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. GOD Bless!!
Megan it’s so nice to have you back! I have missed you and am glad you are taking better care of yourself. I enjoy any video you post. You look amazing and sound so much calmer. As the mother of an adult child with special needs I understand the needing to stop and take care of your family and yourself. I broke my wrist very badly recently and had to stop sewing. I was forced to slow way down. I am improving but progress is slow. Take care-Claudia
Thank you for the video! I'm so glad you have found the balance and took charge of your health. Looking forward to seeing your future videos no matter what the content. I'm here for it all!
❤thank you for sharing that. I am sure it was a hard video to make. I am a fairly new person to your channel and have loved it so far. I love to hand quilt. Am working on a king size wedding ring quilt completely by hand. So would be thrilled to see that here. Thank you for coming back❤
So happy to hear from you again. I thought it was my RUclips analytics that had you disappear. I hope all is well. You look so calmly happy and healthy. Thank you for sharing what is going on.
You look absolutely fabulous and so proud of you! It is really inspiring thar you took a stand for your health (and by proxy the benefit of your family) as well as what truly brings you joy in quilting/sewing. I have also broadened my horizons to include EPP! I find it so relaxing and just fun mixing the different colors and patterns without rhym or reason then doing the hand sewing to turn the little pieces into some fun creative shape and end product. It is just a different gear all together and I enjoy it at the end of the day. I hope it brings you the same joy. I am trying to make similar health changes so thank you for reminding us all that sustainable changes do produce real, true results. You are just glowing! ❤😊
Great to know you are doing selfcare. So important a lesson for everyone. Learning life the hard way is how I have always done it. We have to make our own happiness, it's an inside job, no one can do it for us.❤😂👍
I often wonder how my favorite online quilters manage life and all of the work that must be involved in keeping us entertained! I think you are very wise to chose your family and joy in your quilting.
So glad to see you! I get it, I'm so sedentary with my job at a desk 40+ hours a week, then quilting and crafts is my destress time so I'm now overweight 100lbs 😢
Your channel should be about what makes you happy. Show your progress on projects as it happens. Perhaps use the Playlists and group your videos by project so anyone can follow along if they want to try it out themselves. Have fun!
It’s great to see you back on RUclips, sweetheart take your time with your videos and only post your videos whenever you want because we will always be here for you! ❤
I'm a mom and grandma and I still work out 4 to 5 times a day. It is important to stay balanced in all that we do. I also only sit aside a couple of hours a day and not every day to do my quilting. I think the finished project is much more appreciated and satisfying when done in a balanced way. I love vlogs from fellow quilters but you do what is comfortable for you.
Do what you need to do - for you!!! Quilt what you want - when you want - and if you choose to film it, good for us! If you choose not to film it, the world will still keep turning. Life is short - do what makes YOU happy!! You look great!!!
I am so glad you are back! Girl, take time for yourself whenever you need to. No one is judging. Life is overwhelming nd we lol need down time. I’m glad you are ok. You look beautiful, happy and relaxed. So go enjoy family and what you love doing. Hugs❤
Sounds like you have made some really positive decisions and changes in your life. Good for you. It's great to see you again and you look great. I'll look forward to whatever content you decide to put out. Continue to do what is best for you.
Hey I just want to say how amazing you look. I have missed your videos but you do need to take care of yourself! And I understand the burnout. I quilted for 2 years + non-stop and then had to take 6 months off. Nothing excited me. I was done.....but I got back on the horse and bought a Long arm! And now i am unstoppable again. Congrats on your weight loss - what you did is super hard! Keep up the good work! Keep up the running. Keep up doing what makes YOU happy. Again....Congrats!
So glad to see your back! We all need to take care of ourselves. Glad to hear you are doing that and prioritizing! You look great! I love your videos, patterns, anything you teach! Looking forward to hearing more from you!
Yay! I’m glad you’re ok and that you have shared what’s going on. You look great and happy. Don’t be nervous about sharing with us. We’re on your side! Take everything at your speed. We’ll be here to cheer you on whether you make 1 or 10 quilts. Btw, I just started the Tula stripe quilt. You can’t see me, but my eyes are crossed lol
You look fabulous! I’m glad you are doing things your way and are going to do more videos. You have a talent that makes learning fun. I have learned a lot from you, that has made my quilting experience more enjoyable. Thank you!
Hi, Megan, I am glad you are OK, and that you're taking care of yourself. I really am glad to see you again, and I look forward to viewing whatever you want to share in whatever way you want to share it. You're one of my favorite RUclips quilters, mostly because of the way you show your connection to each quilt you make, and how much of you that you put into each one, encouraging me to do the same. I make quilts that I love; some are objectively good and some not so much, but all of them have a piece of my heart in every stitch. You taught me that, and I am grateful for it. Thank you.
Oh it’s so great to hear that you are OK, I think we’ve all missed you 😳 You need to be kind to yourself, life’s too short not to enjoy it 👍 We all need to remember that 🤔 Take great care of yourself and enjoy your sewing 🤞🇬🇧
I sort of just discovered you via a small tutorial you did to show how to make the Baptist fan quilt pattern. I was so grateful to you for the simplicity of your methodology because I was having a hard time placing the pattern on fabric! And I wanted to know you saved my day…I didn’t want to be frustrated, I wanted to complete the project. Then I looked around your channel and saw all the good you do. So, thank you, and I’m happy for you that you made changes . I have had to do the same now and again.
You look great! But more than that, you sound great. It takes a lot of awareness and courage to set boundaries and focus on what feeds your soul. Congratulations! You are an inspiration to us all! I hope you continue to take care of yourself and share your talents when it feels right for you. ❤
Yeah for you Megan! So happy to see your life has changed for the better health and priority wise. We did miss you and many of us are so relieved to see that you are well. You are so right - do what you LOVE….
I just stumbled upon you in the wee hours of the morning today. My daughter is having a baby and I have decided I am going to make a quilt. Did I mention that I have never made a quilt before? Nor have I sewn in years. But I am determined. I subscribed to your channel after watching your tutorial on how to free style quilt. You are fantastic. I can’t wait to see what you do next. And am happy for you to do it your way ❤ I want to see what you are doing that makes you happy. Thanks.
I’m glad to see you. You look great! Doing what gives you joy will be reflected in any content you produce for your channel. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
Good for you for recognizing burnout for what it was, and taking a sabbatical. And congratulations on taking up running and investing in your physical health and wellbeing. Yes, you look fantastic, but the most important thing is that you feel better. I'm just now taking up FMQ and so have just discovered your wonderful tutorials from a few years ago. Thank you for all of that, and I look forward to seeing your EPP and hand quilting projects, on whatever timeline you decide is right for you.
So glad to see you back, looking so healthy! I have had a slow-down too. A person can only sleep under so many quilts. I look at the ultimate value of each project to me!
Like others, I so enjoy your videos and have learned so much from you. You must first take care of you and your family/loved ones. One day at a time, all will balance out. Will continue uplifting you and wishing and praying for only the best for you. See you soon and God bless you dear one.
Good for you! Too many quilters live an unhealthy sedentary lifestyle. Finding a balance with excercise and sewing or whatever making we do is essential. I love watching you quilt, I have learned a lot just by watching each stitch. So I am very glad to see you back. And looking lovely I might add.
So glad you’re back! Finding the joy in creating and not always being a maker keeps me balanced! I love EPP in between to slow me down. You look healthy so keep up taking care of you. I sew for a few hours daily but I also get outside in the pool. My projects finish slower but I enjoy them more. Keep evolving and finding the joy!😊
Thrilled to see you back! You look fabulous and your happiness just bubbles over!! Good for you for realizing what you needed and working toward it. Looking forward to seeing whatever videos you choose to share with us!
Self care should be a priority for all of us. Take care and make whatever videos bring you joy, dear lady!
Phoenix will change you. I escaped in April this year to Kentucky, and I am so much happier. I'm still trying to get my quilting mojo back on.
You truly look happier and healthier! Welcome back!
I have missed you. So happy to see you! I’m glad life-work balance is restoring itself. You are very special to all of us!
"Wisdom lives inside all who are quiet enough to listen for it." Good job! I'm happy for you.

A perfect example of learning work/life balance. Congratulations on rediscovering the joy in your life.

I am trying to make similar health changes so thank you for reminding us all that sustainable changes do produce real, true results. You are just glowing! ❤😊
I am so glad you put yourself first! You were greatly missed. So glad you are back. ❤
I can only imagine sewing quilts you're not totally in love with would be soul destroying. So glad you've found your sewing MoJo again ❤
Good for you. Balance enhances all aspects of one’s life. I would love to see anything that you enjoy doing.
Glad you got a rest!! Cannot wait to see your new passions!!❤
Welcome back. I missed you! I was just thinking about you a day or two ago, and wondering (and hoping) you were okay.💖
Glad you are doing well.
Thank you.
Glad you're back. Take whayever time you need. Looking forward to seeing your beautiful artworks.
So glad you're back and you had time to take care of you!
Yours is one of my very favorite channels!
Yeah for you Megan! So happy to see your life has changed for the better health and priority wise. We did miss you and many of us are so relieved to see that you are well. You are so right - do what you LOVE….
So glad to see you again. And congrats on taking care of yourself!! I bet you feel like a whole new person.
I have been missing you and was so excited to see you pop up in my feed! So glad to see you again.
So good to see you. You look great!! Glad you are looking out for yourself. it’s so important.
Wow!!! You look great! So proud of you… running is so therapeutic 🤔 wonder if I could start again in my 60s 😅. We’ve missed you Megan 😘
I really miss seeing you and having you teach us all something new! I sure hope to see you soon!!
So glad to see you back, looking so healthy! I have had a slow-down too. A person can only sleep under so many quilts. I look at the ultimate value of each project to me!
I looked on the internet for you yesterday! So happy to hear all is well.
I was just searching yesterday for an update from you. I'm so happy to hear you're doing well.
