Good job! I am listening to you and tackling my own floor pile. I cleaned off my table and put things on the floor. The floor is not a storage space…. Hmm… 😂 I am liking this process.
Awesome job! It's so nice to see Dana's method applied to crafting spaces which is where I struggle the most. Her main question ... Where would I look for this first? is brilliant! It takes the emotion out of it. I have kind of cheated in the process a little bit by not handling the container concept immediately (remove something if there isn't enough room) but instead putting things where I would look for them first and then going back and addressing the container to make things more manageable. One example is with my punches. I put them all in one space and then took the time to try each punch, get rid of the ones that I didn't really like once I punched them, and then compare similar ones and see which one I liked the best. It has been so nice to have just the ones that I know I will use and have them all visible with plenty of space and room around them. Awesome collaboration!! Thank you so much for sharing your space and your progress! 💕
@@DarlaW thanks so much for watching !! And yes it’s hard to find a method that works for crafters for sure and this is manageable. I like your twist to it ; to be honest my one cubbie for large stamps …I have a whole lot more than that cubbie container (that’s why I said large stamps 🤣🤣) but that’s a great idea to go in afterwards and really keep my favorite ones. I’m sure I will get to that point I will have to make some choices to fit in the container 😉😉
I need to do this. I have been overwhelmed and I am still wrapping presents for Christmas. I was cleaning my late Mother-in-laws house (87 yrs of collections She was organized, but there is still more stuff I need to deal with) and had a new floor installed in my craft room with no time to separate her stuff from mine. Where do I post a video and get a coach to start. I have been doing 5 -15 minute putting similar things together . Also donating and gifting items. This challenge is perfectly timed for me.
@@avashort5160 according to the 5 steps…in step 4 ..you would first ask yourself “if I needed this item, where would I look for it first” and then take it there; if there’s no room for it in that place then (you either remove something else to make room for that item or it maybe a donatable; basically what is more important to you. Or the second Q ..if I needed this item, would it occur to me that I already have it ? If you already had it where would it be? Dana goes more into it with Cara’s video from yesterday I think. I’ve been binge watch Dana’s videos and she answers this question better with examples. I’m totally new with the process as well !😀 Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and for your question.
I'm at Lisa's stage - "kids" are 19, 19, and 23. They have bins of all their stuff. I told myself I'd have them go through and put in a shred, recycle, or trash locations.

That bin is amazing. It reminds me of Mary Poppins' carpet bag. It doesn't look that big, but it's full of cool, awesome stuff!

Hello Grace, found you.
@@kathyashley3334 hey there !
I would definitely have to limit myself to 1 hour because the decision fatigue really hits when you're dealing with sooooooo many items.
@@jennyjenkins877 oh for sure ! But most of it, it already had a place so wasn’t too many decisions for now. But I was exhausted after that 😂
