I don't know about reasonably priced. The used ones are almost as much as the new ones which aren't that reasonably priced considering the lack of changes over the last 10 years. Even used, it costs tens of thousands more than a brand new GT350R, GT500 or C8...
@@OlJackBurton there are several used in the 60-80k range. The new ones are still a decent value considering performance. Nissan hasn’t changed it because it hasn’t really needed it. The GT R is in a unique space, far above a mustang as you mentioned. They simple don’t compete whatsoever. The corvette may, but the GT R is more unique with its sort of super car experience.
the car is amazing, the exterior doesn’t need to be touched as far as a redesign goes but for the money it costs, interior NEEDS a refresh asap. looks so outdated
yes but let’s be realistic comparing it to other super/sport cars, esp for $120k, interior lacks a bunch design/tech wise. for ex the c8 corvette is about half as much and the interior is supercar-like. personally that’s one of the drawbacks for me in terms of purchasing one of these. but besides that yes the car is absolutely perfect as is 👍🏼
The car should cost A LOT less, for what you're getting. If Cadillac would've gave the 2nd gen CTS coupe the Lf3 from the ATS V, or just gave the CTSV coupe an AWD option we could've had a space coupe with all the same tech and luxury years ago for like 75k
Similar to the lexus isf... started off as a big contender with some flaws... over its production course, it got tweaks to bring it up to it's best version without changing power figures however. Now it has its engined tweaked into other lexus lineup, but the isf has not come back or been kept up with :/ yes I know not many can even afford or will buy the car brand new even the ones begging for car manufacturers to do this and that, but we still just want them to keep them thriving and evolving! Both gtr and isf still getting more tuners to produce kits that make em supercars at a fraction of the supercars' prices!
For all the love you have for this car, and the thrills it brings you every time you get to drive and review one, i would have imagined you'd have added one to your collection by now.

The GTR is one insane super car. My son has a 14 Black Edition. Decent amount of mods on e85 has @800hp to the wheels. Probably the fastest car I’ve ever driven from a launch. Well worth the money regardless of its age. It’ll blow the doors off of any 200-400k exotic out there, gets decent gas mileage and can carry two people and their belongings. Car was so ahead of its time when introduced and still holds up against anything new today! Great review and I’m sure probably one of fastest cars you’ve driven from a launch.
I went from a 650 HP 2018 Mustang and traded it in for a 2009 Base GTR model, I will admit I had my regrets but the moment I let that thing rip on the highway it was a complete different beast considering it's a 14 year old car and the amount of attention it gets made me feel more comfortable with the change.

I have loved the GT-R since it first arrived here. A friend has let me drive his, which is about the same year as this one. Yeah, hitting the accelerator takes your breath away. But this design desperately needs a total revolutionary redesign, perhaps as dramatic as the stunning new Mid-Engine Corvette. Never seen anyone who has driven, or owned one that doesn't have a crazed grin when they describe driving that monster machine.
Being stationed in Germany and enjoying my Mustang GT PP1, it really is a shame that you can't use that car the way it is meant to be in the US. I hit up the Autobahn and get my kilometer eater satisfaction, and I am sure that the GTR would just be a blast. As always, great video and great content. Keep up the great work.
Still say they should of offered a stick shift option.... I understand that auto is faster.... But i still like shifting gears manually better...... But its still a gorgeous car and I will take it any day, thank you for bringing this car and of course great camera work to the lovely Lori
