I’ve driven an R35 once, it’s a brilliant car. The thing that struck me the most was how in full automatic mode, the car won’t “let” you haul ass. Very strange. You have to be in manual mode to unleash the beast. In auto mode it drives as easily as a Maxima. Love the car, wish my buddy had kept it longer and I had gotten a second go around in it, but I’m forever grateful for the once. I have some great photos of me driving it 😎
I completely agree about sharing your car with others, taking them out, etc. Pretty much every time I have friends over at my house who haven't been in there car I offer to take them out, especially now it's sunny and we're having BBQ pretty much every weekend.
Great post, I agree with everything you've stated! I'm 4 years into owning a 2015 GTR (second owner) and I've just passed 103000km on the odo. Absolutely a joy to drive every single day for groceries (not in the hot trunk though), gigging (I'm an aspiring DJ), and general cruising about. Plenty of room in the back for my 7 and 9 year olds. I've found it cheaper to buy aftermarket upgrades for items such as brakes when they come due....and even insurance costs are comparable to my family SUV. Besides the nasty bell housing rattle, it's a perfect car. I've been looking for the "next" car after I outgrow this one and I just can't find anything that checks all the boxes...guess I'm stuck looking for a used 2024 next time :).
Never heard of sporting bears before, great idea. Unfortuntely for me i only have a old tdi golf mk05. So if i ever get a 'nice' car id defintely sign up.
Ran an Evora 2+2 when the kids were babies/ toddlers and now looking at the next option. I think this has shown be that GTR has to be the top of the tree. Thanks!
Looking for something to replace the Grand Cherokee SRT and really considering one of these. In couple years time my kids won't need full on car seats, won't need the buggy and they should be able to fit in the back comfortably. Thanks for the video.
Have you seen my gran Turismo review? If you’re looking for more performance the GTR is a different level… I do love the sound and flair of the maser though 😎
The 19mpg would kill this for me. £350/1000 miles in regular unleaded, plus road tax, insurance, tyres, maintenance, servicing. Looking down the barrel of £700/month before capital costs of the car itself.
Fantastic video Ben, I love how the owner drives it for the Sporting Bears, what a great thing to do. I saw the dashcam fitted behind the rear view mirror, how does that effect the insurance on Godzilla?
I've never really been turned on by the GT-R, but thank you for this video! It's given me something to think about as at least a consideration whenever I decide to replace the Cayman. 🍻
The boot will swallow up most prams trust me! But I’ll try and get more shots of prams in boots going forward 😅 I managed to fit a child and a pram in the front boot of a 997 911 😅
Hey, what about the driver seat? Im on the db9 or the gtr and i cant try them before buy, i'm afraid gtr is too stiff and not comfortable seat for the driver, what you would choose if you want comfort for you and space for the others?
You just sign up on the sporting bears website! Then check out the upcoming events calendar and sign up :) if you have any questions dm me on Instagram and I’ll see if I can help 🙌
Did you mean why can’t? The issue would be the height of the seat overall I’d say. It is possible to pack out low points but going over transmission tunnels would be too high… good thinking though
What about the drive? You say its a dad car so what about the way it drives on our roads the comfort the handling the rough or smooth. This was not a review it was a go in a friends car, And may i say, With your child in the back seat. Say no more!
@@dadcars i was at a loss between a 2023 Ford Mustang GT Premium 5.0 and my neighbors 2011 Nissan GTR35 Premium but aftet watching your video I have opted for the GTR 😍
I owned a 911 Turbo,GTR R35 and now a DB9.The GTR was the most practical.
That’s a lovely list of cars 😍 and I agree the GTR has the biggest rear seats and boot by far
What’s the fastest?
@@Jjm2024-u3tI think it would scaled as such -911 -- GT-R - - - - - - - - - - DB9.
Lucky guy
In photos and videos the GTR looks like a big boat, but in person it's totally different. the proportions are great
It was massive in its day but by todays standards it’s a tidy package 👌😎
@@dadcars I saw one today and it's still great, it's just the interior that ruins it a bit
Totally. The R35 looks odd in a lot of photographs. When you see the car in person you go WOW

I think in full auto mode, it's harder on the DCT transmission.

Often people are too polite to ask so offering to take them out is such a nice thing to do 👍
Another great video Ben and massive thanks for the plug for the Sporting Bears
Thanks Mike, I slipped in a few mentions of your mighty car in this one 😎

Awesome! It is one hell of a car! I’ve feature a few alternatives but you won’t go faster for the same money with anything else 🙌

They do require volunteers at events to help as well. Check out the website :)
Hi Ben. That video was so cool. Keep up the awesome work.
Stay safe and take care.
Thanks Frank 👏
@@dadcars Your welcome Ben.
Love this video! Shows the real life aspect of the car as a daily and family car. New subscriber here.

That’s awesome 👏 got lots of other options on my channel but if it’s performance you want, the GTR is hard to beat

Oooo I bet the SRT is fun!

Great video Ben, was really looking forward to you getting a GTR on the channel! Peace from India ✌️

I really hope this channel becomes something massive!
🤘🏻😎🍻
Thank you for the kind words Billy 😊
I love it how he goes straight to practicality... good lad 😂 how tall are u? Trying to figure out if i can get 6ft people in the back

Oooo lovely car!
Very practical too!
Great video. Do you know if there is isofix in the 2009 r35?
I don’t know for sure but I’d guess yes
Great Video Ben - I’ve got a Maserati Gran Turismo, thinking of moving to a GTR - would you ??

Yeah depends on the annual milage you do
Only Premium Unleaded.
Sounds like you just shouldn’t be looking at ANY performance oriented vehicle

I’m not too sure actually I’ll have to look into this, I should get dashcams fitted in the DadB9 and family X5
Love this 😂, gonna send to my wife

The 911 is the logical move for a cayman lover but the GTR rear seats are so much bigger 😍 hope you are well my man 👍
What year Cayman do you have out of interest?
Buying one this year…
👏 brilliant! 🫡
For how much?
The only extra thing I would have been interested to see is a pram going in the boot

Managed to fit a pram in the back of an R34 GTT, granted it was one where you could detach the top and the cross bar. R35 looks much bigger as well.

How do I get in touch with David, I wanna ask him what mods he used to get stage 4.25 power from a stage 4 tune
Fire him a message on insta: gtrmoose

Is this a 2020?
Yeah it’s an EBA 2017 though
€2400 just for road tax here in Ireland 😭
Really?!? Wow 😮
What a weapon.
Not sure why this funny but it is
And so composed! Which is great for a DadCar 👏
Stage 4 and it's about 110bhp more!? Wtf.
And on my end I found out a testi can be worth up to 40k, I bet I can pay off the other 40k in 60 months 🎉😂
