We have 3 kids so we love the 17bh. We turn the dinette into a bed at night and everyone has a space to sleep. Its the smallest camper we could get easy to tow and the best deal we found for a family of 5.
Ok my friend! I'm a 5'11 *single* traveling construction worker. I have narrowed it down to a very few campers with perdiem and all that mess. My 3.7 long bed regular cab f150 needs a camode and a shower. Is one of these 2 what I need? Note: I have lived in a peterbilt a hot minute, but otr (over the road)is not for me. What is the smallest, lightest and most affordable for the traveling workman?
Ok.... that is a lot to answer so I will start with the most important. 1st, figure out what your exact F150 can tow. Then take 80% of that weight and there is the first / most important information you need to start with. Example: Truck can tow 10,000 LBS, 80% of that is 8000 LBS. Once you know this, then you can start looking for RV's that you can safely tow. This will give you a starting point. I liked the 17BH because I actually fit in the the bathroom lol. They are both very light, so I would think the F150 would be fine. In the end it comes down to your preferences. But if it were me, I would go 17BH
I am an engineer Time for improvements * 1/4 windows with screens to swing out during the rain * vents must be able to be used during the rain * bigger refrigerator with freezer is better than storage cabinets next to the stove * air fryer oven ? Or is it a power problem? Maybe we should convert/invert to gas or 12 volt or just use it when plugged in Nobody uses a microwave anymore That is all I can think of for now
Great suggestions. :) Vents: They do have vents you can use in the rain Air Fryer: I would think it would use same or close to the same power as a microwave but something good to look into.
Microwaves uses 1700 watts for 5-10 -15 minutes Max Air fryers ? we are taking about 1700 watts 30 minutes plus + I think they are power hogs Need to address this issue for the future as microwaves die and air fryerS replace all cooking appliances except for the stove top burners I would install an air fryer and use it when plugged in They are super practical For cooking 🥘 especially in a camp ⛺️ setting Thank you 😊
No special license needed. Insurance will vary based upon cost and coverage, but generally VERY affordable. The license plate is not "special" but will be issued by your local DMV. (when you buy the trailer, the dealer will issue you a temp tag, the normal one will come in the mail. Just like when you buy a new car. If you are buying from a private seller, just go to your DMV and get the tag.) We hope that helps you out. Good Luck.
@Tall Man's RV Reviews ty one more question, the rv got have a special battery on it, to run the water or u need to hook the generator on it,to have running water and light on rv? and you guys accept credit?
Im not the dealer or An RV Salesman. Just love RV's. The number to the dealer is in the description. You can call them, but I can tell you that all dealers have a credit option. Yes, there are special batteries but every auto supply store sells the batteries that Travel Trailers use. :)
Call your local dealer who carries Viking or call the dealers name I left in the description :) Make sure you tell them “The Tall Man sent ya” Lol Congrats :)

Thank you for the owners perspective. Love it! :)
love the 17bh. i have 2 kids and i'm under 5 ft 4.
Thanks for the vote... That is our choice as well :)
The color of the 2015 are the best.
I’ve not seen the 2015s.
I like the 16FB better because I prefer storage. This has the best storage I have seen for a trailer this size.
You gotta have plenty of storage. :)
So which model did you like the best?
The main beds lift up to access the outside under storage
Normally we look at those things in our individual reviews, but somehow missed it in this video. Thanks for pointing it out :)

Does AC noisy? some RV AC like jet engine
They were not on so I couldnt 100% confirm however most of the tiny trailers have fairly loud ACs
Their coachmen clipper bh seems like a better layout.
Thanks Neil. We will have to check it out
Definitely the 7 is better. Those other 2 bunks are great for kids and people that are 5'8 and under.
Those are my exact thoughts as well
What if you're 6'4, single and looking for an inexpensive camper?
Any suggestions?
@@IAmYourReflection you could remove the shelf at the foot of the bed and install an 80" mattress
I think I like the 17Bh better.
Me too, but only because I fit in the bathroom lol

what size is the bed????
queen?
It's called an RV queen 54" X 74" . Normal Queen / Residential Queen is 60" X 80"
do you need special licenses to drive it on your truck? how much for the insurance monthly, and if u need special plates?
