I'm 53, I have some really, really, cool buddies that I went through some absolutely CRAZY stuff with growing up--over 40+ years. Arrests, divorces, kids, ...life. We're still friends, but life gets "in the way" so we don't see each other much. Listening to these stories about TRUE friendship and knowing that Patrice left us way too early has made me realize that I need to not take time for granted. Thanks for this post.

Patrice and Bill used to kill me on Opie and Anthony. Was lucky enough to see Patrice live, and Bill a few times including his arena tour last month. Both guys were hilarious, and Bill still is even though he’s DEFINITELY a different person than he was even 10 years ago. RIP Patrice. I still go back to laugh at your old specials on shit days.

This compilation is missing my favorite story of them: They would drive thru a tunnel on the Merrit Parkway between NYC and Boston and call it the James Bond tunnel. One day Patrice brought in an audio casette and started playing the James Bond theme when they entered the tunnel, and they’d sync their movements to the music lol. It became an unspoken thing they did every time

Kevin Hart doesn't really belong in the company of these guys; he's competant, works hard, but has been 'endorsed' and can't really be allowed to fail. Katt was right.
He came up with Keith Robinson driving him and Big Jay back and forth from Philly to NYC. Whether you like his comedy or not the man has earned his stripes as a comic, he definitely deserves a seat at the table with the real comedians imo.

Im 26 years old. Patrice o neal has been my all time favorite conedian since ive discovered him when i was 17. This man has helped put a smile on my face through my darkest times. Im sad that i discovered him after death but greatful that i have at all. Rip the great.
That movie wasn’t a bad idea, he kills bad people, book shows in cities where other wanted killers are does he show, kills the bad guy and goes to the next city until he caught

What’s amazing is how Bill can talk like this knowing full and well that he completely sold out. Patrice would shit on him if he were still alive. Shameful.
I find it odd how downright subdued Billy Red Nuts was around Patrice. Listen to the old O&A shows with them on; Bill was usually very quiet, barely contributing. His stints on the show when Patrice wasn't there, Bill was his regular, talky self. Weird.
Equally strange is how silent Chappelle was about Patrice passing on. Even though he wasn't one of the guys, he worked with Patrice. It's odd for him to have been mute on the subject.
