Converge even busted out First Light/Last Light for the show which blew my mind since You Fail Me is one of my all time favorite records. Full of Hell also completely killed it! I’m totally with you on the Trumpeting Ecstasy worship too lol. I can jam that record front to back over and over again and never get bored

Heartless by Pallbearer is easily my favorite of 2017, and a top ten favorite of all time. It's such a unique blend of melodic doom and 70s prog sounds. The harmonies are gorgeous and the meandering leads never fail to captivate. It's such a big beautiful morose record. After that, Emperor of Sand, my favorite Mastodon album.

I'm choosing a VERY different album for 2017: Orden Ogan - Gunman. AMAZING! A power metal masterpiece. The theme, atmosphere and the melodies are fucking awesome! All songs are catchy! Just a great album. OH and Kreators Gods of Violence is another 10/10 album from that year!
