So glad to hear there first album is last. Its great but its just the begginning of what would come and theybjust got better and more refined. I think alot of people just say that ones there favorite because it was their introduction. It just doesnt hold up to the others.
If I had to rank them (they range from “really good” to “out of this world”), it would go: 1. Parrhesia 2. Joy of Motion 3. Madness of Many 4. Self-titled 5. Weightless
Now I must listen to AAL, bc I’ve not yet heard other songs from them than “The Woven Web” and now seems like the right time since I’ve been listening to a bunch of other instrumental technical/shreddy bands like Spastic Ink, Cacophony, Blotted Science, Steve Vai (new album, dude!) and Joe Satriani.
Hey Man, any thoughts on DBC Dead Brain Cells? I bought their cassette back in the 80’s and loved it. I recently found an album at an antique shop 😂 If you haven’t heard them check’em out!
I would put their debut at the top of my list! I thought that the electronic flourishes on Weightless were kinda masturbatory actually, whereas the compositions on Animals as Leaders speak for themselves. And then Joy of Motion and Madness of Many perfect their jazz metal sound with acoustic virtuosity, but I still think that the pacing of the debut, with transitions like Point to Point and beautiful pieces like Soraya make for the most complete listening experience, whereas JoM and MoM have some duds to me. Other than the debut, I consider their albums to be anthologies of amazing songs. But I look forward to listening to the new album and relistening to the discography with the new context!
Bruh self titled is clearly better than weightless and the new one and probably madness of many - inamorata is the best song on that album and it’s hardly ever talked about
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 Well a lot of these instrumental bands are like EDM music to me. I once liked it but unless there’s vocals then I get very bored very quickly. I like Chon a lot though. They’re more relaxing.
Im not feeling the new album either. I has some cool tracks, but it feels like it lost a bit of its flavor....like you said, it feels robotic. I dont get the ridiculous hype over this album?
I just gave Parrhesia a listen and I very much liked it. I happen to like every Animals as Leaders album but I think Parrhesia is their best since Weightless but here would be my ranking: 5. The Madness of Many 4. The Joy of Motion 3. Parrhesia 2. Self-titled 1. Weightless
I’m excited to hear the new album in full. The joy of motion is easily their best album, I hope they continue to innovate and expand their sound.
JoM was my favorite for a loooong time!

Very solid!
From best to worst:
Self-Titled
The Joy of Motion
Parrhesia
Weightless
The Madness of Many
JOM, Self, Parrhesia, MOM, Weightless
Solid!
1 weightless
2 self titled
3 joy of motion
4 parrhesia
5 madness of many
No offense to the new album but top 3 is tough to crack!
Hey man they all rule lol
Joy of Motion my favorite

Definitely recommend!
I listened to it a couple times today and have to agree it's at the top or near it. Great album!
So good!

They’re all great! Hurt putting it at the bottom honestly lol
Man, the debut on 5? That's pretty much the only AAL album I like... Saw them live twice though, always fun.
Yeah, but like I said it’s a fucking great album lol
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 Fair enough
Dave Grohl just dropped a metal album. The project is called "Dream Widow" and that project just dropped their self-titled debut!
I really like it! Unfortunately haven’t had time to review it :(
Hey no hate but the audio in this video is really quiet, kinda hard to hear even with my headphones at full volume
Is it the volume? It can you not understand what I’m saying?
Bruh self titled is clearly better than weightless and the new one and probably madness of many - inamorata is the best song on that album and it’s hardly ever talked about
Bruh clearly opinions
Protest the hero
Terrible list. Debut at dead last???????? Nah lol
Idk man, I’m not into the new album at all. Just feels too robotic and boring but maybe I’ve grown out of them too.
I dunno I don’t hear robotic at all it seems very natural and organic to me… but hey we all have opinions and tastes lol

I see a lot of people having Weightless at number one which is cool!
