@@sueprator9314 Some disco, particularly the Bee Gees, was okay. But it was in every way inferior to what it replaced on the radio.
A lot of people don't know that they bought One of Johnny Cash's houses. Wanted to make country album, but one of them died, never got it done!!
Some people forget how big they were in the late 60s before they went soul/disco.
I was becoming a teen in the mid sixties. The early BeeGees were the best to me. Andy was good too, but like has been said here many times, Barry has had a rough road with all his siblings gone, and tragically when they weren’t getting along. I have three brothers and two sisters. It’ll be hard to be without any one of them.
@@juliamartin4141 I've often thought, this time must haunt him...
True. They were always great and this one from 1978 is pure gold.
They were known in the 1960s but not big until they discovered their falsetto.
Subway ... Children of the World etc Awesome songs
I don't know _what_ it is about it, but 'You Win Again' is one of my favourite songs by them...
Same here; Barry said he got the idea for the songs beat driving over a bridge with equally spaced sections that made the sound.
They’ll always be the best to me. I’ve loved them since I was around 15. I just turned 60. 😄. Barry was my ideal man back in the day.
My favorite quote on this one: "slow dancing with your girl, holding her close, making babies."
“ Lonely Days”, “I Started A Joke”, “You Win Again”, and “I Just Gotta Get A Message To You”.
Yes, please.
Just gotta get a message too you is one of my favs
All are great songs that highlight who these brothers were and how they made music history.
My Favored "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" !!!
That was singing and that was music. That was the best time of my life.
For me one of the beautifulst love songs ever ..I remember my good old Disco times
They were so talented. Amazing performers but also prolific songwriters. I always appreciated their music
The Bee Gees were one of a kind and this song is among their best work
Best time in my life.70s was the greatest time when music was music an everybody got along . Believe it or not.right now.Everyday you can get out of bed .count it as a blessing.
My heart! I love this song even more today.
They had a younger brother, Andy, who died very young after success. He has that same unique Gibb sound. They also have a sister, I think.
Barry's the only one still alive...Sadly his 3 bro's are gone.
yes, a sister Leslie who is older than Barry. She still lives in Australia
It is so sad that Andy died at such an early age. 3 of them singing together is amazing but 4; just unreal!
barry was the truth
andy looked just like barry
"Everything we are will never die, love is such a beautiful thing" Yup Period! FULL Stop!! Dammit Barry❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Head blown, huh? I miss music like this. Their voices, the orchestration, the lushness.
One of the best and unique voices ever
Even if metal and classic rock are my favorite genres, I always appreciate real musical talent. And The BeeGees have always been super talented, both as performers and writers. So I've always really enjoyed them. They were big during the Disco Era, but they had a solid career before and after disco as well.
..Hard rock guitarist here, the more i got into songwriting and theory.... the more i realized a good song is a good song is a good song...ABBA, BEEGEES, Beach boys, groups I used to make fun of until I realized the immense, huge talent in every aspect for those groups.
Three brothers singing harmony since they were 10-11 years old. Several classic songs for infinity.
This is my favorite Bee Gees song. This song is from heaven. It is perfect. 😍😍😍
Barry Gibb is the one that hits them high notes
No, he isn't! Are you already listen Dimash? Do it, you'll enjoy!
Sometime Maurice too
Those are multiple recordings layered over each other. Barry's voice dominates and the high notes are him but Robin and Maurice are right there, with Robin also singing in falsetto
@@TANTRUMGASM yes, he really hit high notes (I'm a huge fan of the Bee Gees, too) but Dimash range is wider. Listen to him and you'll agree with me. Peace! 🖑
@@washingtonestencio1766 i am sure Dimash has a wide range..however i fail to see what that has to do with this video
