The greatest part of this song, in my opinion, was the glorification of curvier figures at a time when the media was beginning to push a nearly impossible body type. This song came out in 1978, while the average size of women was increasing and the media began to heavily feature dangerously thin waistlines. Queen was WAY ahead of their time in the idea of self-love and self-acceptance.

Why not ty another Queen song (think it was their first hit in the UK back in '73).
The opening is incredible and then right at the end.. Well, that's for you to find out... All I'm saying is it'll raise your eyebrows!
    Keep up the great
work. Highly enjoyable in these difficult times

Jamel you are delving into the music of the late 60's, 70's and early 80's the time I was in Vietnam through college undoubtedly the greatest and most creative era of Rock N Roll EVER! I delight in your reaction to CLASSIC rock as you've never heard! I've even learned from you such as Ace and "How Long" I, too thought it was a break up! LOL LOL Bass player doin' another band?? LOL LOL My dear Friend, I'm so glad to witness your road to disc-overy! YES! You've opened a veritable Gold Mine of creativity....I haven't seen it yet but I'm looking for your REACTION to EWF (Earth Wind & Fire)! I have all their albums, LOVE their music! I'd send you a pic of me in m 'fro…..LOL. I used to jam with Chicago Transit Authority at the Whisky on Sunset, Blood Sweat & Tears (their trombonist had his bachelor party at my apt on the beach in Redondo), Tower of Power (I got to know Mic Gillett, fellow trumpet player when they played the Red Onion) and Canned Heat to name a few. I even performed with Michael Mathis (bro of Johnny) in 'Frisco 1970 for 4 months why my US Navy ship was in repair. Yup, long haired wig, etc. LOL Great times! Don't every stop, Jamel, I'm glad you see your joy! (My moniker is from when I was in martial arts. I'm 5'2" tall. LOL)

Bro. Honestly, audio only vids are probably the best ones to react to, because you’re experiencing the music on its own, w/out someone trying to lead you into their interpretation. YOU need to interpret the music on your own. Just like the rest of us when we put the needle to the record. THAT’S how you truly FEEL the music. It’s not even about the message the artist was was trying to send. It’s about the message YOU received. It’s about what YOU feel when you hear the music, unleashing YOUR imagination when you hear what’s being played and said. You connect the music to parts of your own life, lessons you learned, experiences you had that Correlate to the sounds you hear. Maybe you’re interpretation isn’t what the artist meant to convey, but it’s what you felt when you heard it. THAT’S what makes music SO powerful.

American music was exported to Britain. The British bands reinterpreted it and repatriated back to America. There is a symbiotic relationship between American and British music. American music is enriched by it's British cousin's re-imaginings of it both texturally and symphonically.
