      @taupopoki 5 лет назад +5

      It's true Elvis wore leather and did it remarkably in '68. This outfit though is derived from the motorcycle look of Tom of Finland. A gay icon adopted by the gay community. Freddie was remarkably camp and often wore outlandish gay fashion trends that sometimes made it onstage - and often under the noses of the mainstream audience. The bike leather look is further enhanced by the black leather cap sitting on the lid of the piano. Freddie's looks often mirrored what was popular in the gay clubs such as this one and his later mid-80s "Clone" look. The jeans, singlet, slicked-back hair and clipped moustache.

    • @neillenet291
      @neillenet291 5 лет назад +2

    As you continue this journey you will learn that these are four exceptional musicians. I saw them in '74 and 81. I remember John Deacon's bass sounding like thunder in the stadium. Roger Taylor had the vocals that most front men of today would envy his falsetto complimented Freddie. Brian May hard to describe. The guitar he is playing is called the red special. He and his father built it in 1969 and he plays it still today. Freddie's death cut me to my core. Adam Lambert is now on stage for Freddie and he is a perfect fit. I have resisted for many years to see Queen again. I am 62 years old and knew if I didn't get off my dead ass I would never see Brian May play that guitar again. This summer I saw them in Pittsburgh. Paid a fortune for the tickets and would have doubled that. I was on the floor in the 7th row. Turned around and paid another fortune to see them in Columbus 2 weeks later. My favorite hoodie says I may be old but I got to see all the great bands. Tip or the day concentrate on live performances and not official videos. Live Aid 1985 is still considered the greatest live performance in rock and roll history. They will never disappoint you "live". I am happy to be joining you on this journey. I, to this very day, dedicate 1 day a month to Queen and Freddie. I listen to "Barcelona" or will just hit mix on my Queen playlist and let it take me where ever the music goes. The performers today could take some serious notes from Dr. May, Roger, John and Freddie on how to make music that will be played repeatedly 40 years from when it was released. There only a few "musicians" or performers today that can OWN an audience like Queen could. It wasn't.just Freddie, it was every single cell of all 4 members that created the perfect whole that is Queen. Adam Lambert is good but he does not own a tenth of the charisma of Freddie. There was and can only be one and that is Freddie.

    Kerry Livgren of Kansas has a few stories to tell about Queen. The were the opening act for Queen and the tour promoter put Kansas up in some crappy Motel 6. Brian May found out and demanded that the tour promoter put Kansas in the same 5 star hotel as Queen and Brian offered to pay for it. Kerry also said that when Kansas was opening for Queen, the rest of Kansas was shocked at how talented and tight Queen was musically as a band and they knew they had to work harder to get better. About 5 years later after Wayward Son and Dust in the Wind, Kansas is now huge. They were playing in London and Kerry said Brian, Freddie, Roger and John showed up to watch them play. Kerry said having Queen show up to our concert to watch us play was the greatest moment of his musical career. That is how much Kansas respected Queen.

    Man it must be so awesome discovering all these legendary songs. So many people are trapped in these boxes of listening to only one or two genres of music, and they're truly depriving themselves of some of the greatest musical works of all time. Good on you man.

    As a die hard Queen fan from 13 years old, I believe that Freddie was an amazing musician, song writer, singer. But, he has to be one of the BEST live performing ENTERTAINER/PERFORMERS EVER! Most bands and members dance in place. Freddie uses every inch of the stage and did not sing the songs as recorded, only proving that he had a phenomenal voice LIVE!

      Roger did 'I Love My Car' Live at Montreal '81. I have that on Blue Ray. I watch it several times a week going to buy some of their other live stuff too. Queen's music brings me to my happy place. My mom was born '61 she grew up with all if this music. Then raised me in the 80s with it. I was 9 when Freddie died. I balled and balled.

    Loving your reactions fella. I've been a queen fan since the age of 12 over here in the UK, that'll be 50 years, Wow!........They made some amazing songs of different emotions but for me they saved their best till last. "Mother Love" was the last song Freddie sang before his passing & always brings a tear to my eye. He never returned to finish the song so Brian May had to sing the last verse. I know you are busy with the requests you receive but if you get chance, please check out this song............Oh & bring some tissues. Thank you.

    My two best friends and I all share a very deep connection to Queen and this song specifically. We have made plans in a couple of years to get matching tattoos based on this song. Absolute magic.

    This song has always been one of my favorites. When I was in high school and I was starting to figure out that I was bisexual, this song really meant a lot to me. I've always loved how he switches from "man" to "woman" and back.

    Freddie did have a Great voice and he also had Great musicians who were also Great singers. That was one well put together group. They, as a group are missed. There was another well put together group and that is ELO Electric Light Orchestra. “Can’t Get It Out Of My Head” and many many more. Thanks for the reaction, Jamel!

    Hey Jamal! cheers from México, brother! I would like you to react two songs of Queen:
    -These are the days of our lives
    -The Show Must Go On.
    And I recommend you to read a little about these two song before so you can put in the context. These songs were recorded on the last days of Freddie, so I recommend as well a couple of tissues.
    Love your reactions bro! keep it up!

    Just for pure joy.and enthusiasm Britain got Talent has an elementary school called flakefleet and they do a cover this song. I never knew where the song came from. It's just purely enjoyable. I don't know if you can get it up on RUclips but just watch it for your own enjoyment. I think you'll really like it. I think Freddy would really like what these children did with his song. Pure joy and enthusiasm

    You should look at One Vision, Roger wrote it about Martin Luther King. Queen opened all the shows of the Magic Tour with it.

    Honestly, genuine reaction videos are great. When you personally appreciate a song, it's an awesome thing... But when you witness someone else react in the same way, it's truly a beautiful thing. There's a kinship there with someone I've never met. I appreciate your channel, bro. Keep up the good work.

    Loving your reactions! You mentioned that this reminds you of another song. It’s “Tutti Frutti” by Little Richard. Queen did a cover of this song during their last “Magic” tour with Freddie. It was during a part of the show where they take a short break from their music to do “a little fooling around”. Wembley in 1986 was filmed over 2 nights with 15 cameras. This performance was on the night that it was raining. It’s quite entertaining. I especially love John Deacon’s short shorts! Please take a look: ruclips.net/video/yq1QSpsdqLc/видео.html
