Old school, man, old school. I'm 60 years old, and I'm happy to see the younger generations fall in love with the way of making and singing songs from that time, which for us was absolutely normal.
Recorded for charity UNICEF in Barry's studio in Florida and all proceeds went to this charity UNICEF and still does. These are the brothers Gibbs and they have been performing together since 1959. 😊
Robin standing there, hand on his hip, casually belting out perfection. Nobody comes close to the Bee Gees...Barry's easy and perfect falsetto has always amazed me.
These 3 brothers were born with a true gift! They used to sing in their bedroom as youngsters and their mother thought her sons left the radio on but it was actually them singing! RIP Robin and Maurice! We love and miss you!🫶
I grew up listening to the Gibb brothers in the ‘70s. It’s true. Music these days rarely touches the soul and make one tear up and give you genuine feels. This particular hit was a great example of angelic, groovy and soulful at the same time. You never get tired of their music no matter how long you play them on repeat. They remain a timeless classic for a reason! 😊
You HAD to be talented to have any screentime then. There are plenty of talented artists today, just with the age of social media, it has allowed anybody to coast their way to fame, despite talent level.
Nope. This is identical to the record so it’s 27 overlaid tracks consisting of 18 solo tracks by Barry and 9 of the 3 brothers together.. They may have been also singing live but 3 voices don’t produce that sound, not even the Gibb Brothers.
Spiritof Elijah They were. He laid 18 tracks of his own. If you’re interested there’s a really good in depth interview with Karl Richardson about the making of the “Spirits Having Flown” album from which “Too Much Heaven” is taken. He talks about how Barry was at his songwriting zenith then and practically lived at the studios throughout whereas Robin and Maurice just came in to do their bit and then left. For TMH Barry did 18 separate vocal tracks which were so perfectly identical they had to “roughen” them up in the studio. Incredible talent. The interview is on Albumism, easy enough to find.
Barry is in the middle he’s the oldest and then Robin is on his right and Maurice is on his left and they’re twins. They started singing together when Barry was nine and the twins were six.
@@monicamurray5090 yes! My family all grew up singing together in church! I learned to harmonize at a very young age by listening to my grandmother!! Family harmony, nothing beats it!
The closest song to perfection. The individual vocals and the collective harmonies are truly out of this world. The greatest songwriters ever. Bar none 🙌🏻
The Bee Gees are on their own level no one else is on it. Their voices are so similar because they are brothers is what I believe makes their harmonies seem so effortless. Barry’s falsetto is also second to none.
Oh my gosh, their playlist is decades long! Massachusetts, Words, I Started a Joke, Lonely Days, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, Jive Talkin, Alone, You Win Again, This Is Where I Came In....too many to list here. Welcome aboard the Bee Gees bandwagon!
This is a beautiful song. How often today do you hear any song that has as much feeling in it than this one? You can feel the love pouring out of these guys.
So beautiful!! I, like every other female on the planet, was so in love with Barry Gibb!! That hair, that smile and that VOICE!!! Just amazing memories! Love that new people can enjoy this music still and have this reaction!
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever ever!! Their music touches your heart and soul!!! You will never find another group like them!!! I grew up with them and still love them! You can relate to their songs. Watch Fanny be tender with my love( live version)
I just love their attitude, standing there hands on their hips belting out those notes as if it is a normal every day occurrence. Of course, for them it may be but for most people it is impossible to imagine being able to do that.
Chills!! The Brothers Gibb!! Robin, Barry, and Mo left to right!! Great voices, beautiful harmonies!! They donated all the proceeds from this song to Unicef
Incredible angelic voices. They wrote this, "Tragedy" and younger brother Andy's "Shadow Dancing" in one afternoon. Unbelievable. It's so gratifying to see The Bee Gees getting love and respect after the crap they dealt with in the 80's.
Jive Talkin, How Deep is your love, Fanny be tender with my love, More than a Woman, You Win Again, Run to me, How can you mend a broken heart, the list is pretty endless. Enjoy!
First time I heard this song, I got totally addicted to it. I even got as far as imagining having this song play at my wedding. I just totally love this song. I love the Bee Gees. They're one of the best.
I love The Bee Gees. The singer in the middle is the oldest , Barry Gibb, the other two are Barry’s younger brothers, twins Maurice and Robin. Plus there’s a baby brother Andy. The three younger boys are in music heaven now , They all died of internal problems . I really miss them but I have their music in my head and their faces in my heart ❤️
For your wedding playlist? You definitely have to listen to How Deep Is Your Love - one of the very best slow dance songs of all time. One of the many #1 hits by the Bee Gees.

Want to hear all FOUR brothers? You Should Be Dancing, the 70's version, with baby brother Andy, has a great disco beat, John Travolta dancing from the movie Saturday Night Live, and watching and hearing how the four brothers have it down to an art..I love it. I think you would, too.
Such an amazing group. U can feel every word they sing, simply perfection. Back then no auto tune, so much talent. Memories are flooding back listening to all the 70's and 80's especially. Also listening to Shania Twain who was the top selling female artist of all time in any genre. Kelly Clarkson also has an amazing voice she came out early 2000's But absolutely the best time for music was definitely 70's and 80's, amazing talent, you could understand what they sang and sing along, alot of great dance music, amazing love songs, songs were actually about something and had messages and purposes to them.
