Good list especially number # 2. A lot of people believe the alphas are the loud center of attention types, but the guy that has nothing to prove or isn’t seeking approval from the group is the true alpha.
Exactly...I work in an industry with many ex-military types. 9 times out of the 10, the guys that were super high speed bad asses in their former careers are the quiet ones with NOTHING to prove.

I thought this would be another one of those "alpha beta" cringe videos but it doesnt ask you to be god. While it is true that in nature too hierarchies exist. However in captivity like while living on a military base with less and less then everything gets turned upside down when it comes to hierarchies. Then in captivity the alpha males will often be mocked by other males there who are in truth trying to take advantage of them too. Sometimes only because an alpha male possesses quiet confidence others who are always trying to live through others while taking advantage of others are assuming those alpha males are gay which they are not. After going through all that guess who all is going to be most capable to help them recover from all that while they are going to be good examples of what true resiliency looks and acts like.

I have never seen any "Alpha male" able to break bad habits of a 20+ year experienced group of hardened production workers engrained in their work. Also these workers may have untreated mental problems as well. Solve that problem
I think the phenomenon is more complexe than that. If i take the hard working and achieving part of the story as an exemple, then the nerdy guys who are good at stem fields and do very well in the industry are not alpha, despite having all these qualites priviously cited.
