Has anyone noticed Dave doesn’t really tell jokes anymore but is instead having the most profound conversations with his audience I have ever witnessed.
He's earned the right to be amongst the greatest comedians if not the greatest of our generation.......and best thing is all he speaks is facts now
Yup thats why I'm saying it ain't the same guy idc what anyone says. His voice is way different n his eyes r like dead and another thing is he talks about people dying or killings n shit like that. U can't tell me this dude didn't sell his soul n worships the devil. His head is even bigger his built is big the real dave was mad skinny. Also he never put one pant leg up n shit like that. Hes not funny 😐 the original Dave didn't even have to try to be funny he was always makin people laugh. Its so annoying that no one can see what's goin on n how much these celebrities n shit are fooling us.

"I was a devout muslim, I didn't smoke or drink, but I do now because you ruined my life" that's an incredible level of honesty from one of the greatest comedians of all time.
Dave was doing a similar q&a after his shiw when he returned to montreal around 2013 or so. The show was t that good good because guys just kept I terrupting him with Chappelle show remarks.
I was in the first row and it was getting late. I'm Muslim too and kept looking at my watch because dit was Ramadan. I had to eat because we had to fast the next day. He noticed and made fun of me. I told him the reason and as soon as he answered the next question ... He ended it. Didn't have to he is still a Muslim after all. He was high as a kite but
We had a small talk and Dave probably doesn't even remember me or interaction but that was my fav part of any comedy show I've been to and being in MTL...I've seen almost everybody at the JFL.
@@salman13 Thats such a cool story, I saw his interview with Letterman a few months back and I think he still considers himself Muslim. But I think him being real enough to say that working in the industry that he is in doesn't make it any easier goes a long way. Dave literally used "cancel culture" on himself and still came out on top. How much more of a GOAT can you be 😅 🐐
The man beat the system
And that was his second time.. when he refused to do another season of Chapelle Show, he canceled himself.
There are a few entertainers who can stand 10 toes down on their integrity and not compromise. Standing firm on your convictions is going to be more difficult road, when you have a higher calling.

He literally used the system to beat the system.
Don't talk about Cancel culture if you don't want to get Doxxed.
this crowd has to be the most aloof audience ever. it’s like they don’t know the right time to clap or time to be quiet.
love your videos!
They think punchlines are coming. He's not telling a joke. He's furiously angry and upset.
I think they were perhaps not aloof, but rather intrinsically engaged. The 'set' he's putting in front of them, it's not really a traditional funny stories and jokes with punchlines. It's not a comedy set that you can sit easily through, laugh, don't, misplace a laugh, it's relaxed and doesn't matter.
Instead, he's covering some serious, personal, emotive and quite a shade darker issues, some of which he's clearly unhappy about.
And at the same time he's being funny in places, as that's the way he is, naturally.
But because of this deeper level of importance, the content and relevance, for Chapelle at least, of the themes, the crowd isn't simply just amused, and able to simply laugh at each punctuating wrap-up. They are listening seriously but still enjoying the way he tells his story, but they're thinking, and aware there's more to regard here than simply how tickled each line makes them feel.
Hence, as they're genuinely engaged with him, that relationship is different to the easy, routine laughter of a pure comedy performance.
That's my reason for thinking they may not be aloof, but actually really are not sure where to laugh, because they are really listening, and it's not all just 'funny.'
Exactly!!! "They said I smoke crack. Impossible. I'm a devout Muslim. I don't smoke or drink, but I do now CAUSE YOU RUINED MY LIFE"
*Crowd laughs and claps.*
No. That's sad! Listen to him!.
I thought you exaggerating at first, but after getting to the middle and towards the end where he started getting real deep about his experience…yeah.
That crowd was dumb as rocks
Dave's not even doing jokes anymore. He's just narrating his life in a humorous tone.

Dave is incredibly intelligent. This section of this stand up didn’t even feel like a comedy show, it was just real cold hard facts. And he’s such a phenomenal speaker that he keeps you engaged every step of the way without sounding preachy.
Am Nigerian, and this is my best comedian. Dave speaks to his audience like a loving father, he gives his all. I remember watching a show he did for college students for 3 hours for almost no pay. A humanitarian, I can't find anyone who is so truthful and passionate in their line of work than Michael Jackson's in his. He is indeed a G.O.A.T!
When your comedy career has reached a point where you can literally just TALK to your audience, you're goat status. Carlin's whole style was pretty much based on this and it's phenomenal. Best kind of comedy bc you laugh but you also learn to open your mind to new concepts
Norm MacDonald is the goat. Luv to both Carlin, Hicks, and Chappelle among others as well tho.

He tells really funny, sometimes offensive jokes, but he also has such a chill demeanor and the way he talks is so pleasing to just listen to. I could listen to him talk about life and make jokes for hours on end.

"Or, I could just take it"
This was brilliant storytelling. He narrated two real life stories that happened in his youth and perfectly correlated them with what was happening to him right now, structured it as a joke with the punchline being the life lessons he learnt in his youth. You can see for the whole time where he was going with the story, but you don't see the punchline coming. Reminds me of his "so I kicked her in the pussy " joke. Dude's amazing.
Absolutely amazing
@Mass Debater A lot of humor is based on truth. Chappelle's jokes aren't your typical standup jokes. He narrates meaningful stories but structures them in such a way as to include in a punchline in the end. If Chappelle's stories are fairy tales, the moral of the story would be the punchline. You take them seriously and not view them as jokes, but it's still really clever and quite funny when you hear them for the second or third time because this time you notice the subtle details and the mechanism of the plot. I think Chappelle still has a long way to go and I feel like his best material is still yet to come.

I’ve watched it at least ten times and I kept coming back to it. This is a classic.
This brother is so deep that he can make you laugh just talking about life experiences. He's bold, he's comfortable on stage, and he's honest. You love him because he's a natural. I thought maybe I can put him in the same category as a Richard Pryor.
Didn’t laugh once, but I enjoyed every minute of him being that candid. Especially how he talked about the guy saying “I’ll just take it.” And when he so we’ll explained the guy grabbing him at the card table. He’s an excellent story teller.
I really dnt think it was meant to make u laugh... it was just his story
I thought it was weird people laughing at how companies screwed him over.
Agree! Ge is a good story teller indeed.
I laughed a few times. The way he said "bad bitch" was funny
Edit: but yeah the people who woo'd and clapped after he said HBO is streaming his showing, right after he said they screwed him are idiots
@@kingtut3779 it just did, cancel culture is a fn joke.. great job America way to keep the whole freedom thing alive.. 🤦🏻♂️
It would hurt so much to tell people to boycott your own show - I feel you, Dave. We're rooting for you.
some of the most powerful shit i’ve seen. Funniest dude to ever walk the earth dropping some shit like this.
Dave is so mature now that he spends time teaching us things from his experiences in hilarious ways .
I could listen to Chapelle for hours telling stories.
You find that on here . There is a great video of him on RUclips of him just showing up at a very small club in La right before he made his comeback. It’s literally almost 3 hours long and after his “ routine “ he’s just like … talking to the audience and asking them questions and telling them stories . I’ll see if I can find the link . It’s great . I worship him.
@@usernameonutube he has on Comedy Central
Almost like he's at the top of his field, which is basically telling stories. What a shocker.
@@subzero5809 you don't say
@@chanceDdog2009 bruh I am talking to Andrew not you
Dave is a great story teller. Even though this wasn’t funny, and I didn’t laugh once, I was entranced by the way he told it.
is a good story
@@coffeewoffee Yes, that what a story means.
@@coffeewoffee It doesn't necessarily have to contain unicorns and wizards to be called a story.
C'mon you didn't laugh at "My wife's Asian too bitch, but she's Philippino so our kids are Puerto Rican for some reason"?
He isn't telling jokes
It’s crazy because hes so profound yet funny he can just get away with talking about his life and we are cool with it. Not many comics can do this that I know of and be this successful
i dont see dave as a comedian this bro is a poet damn it this is deep af glad he opened to the public and that crowd was taking a lesson they didn't even know when to clap or laugh bro open is heart to the world amazing
This feels like listening to an old, really wise family member.
So accurate. Feels like listening to your old uncle.
because this is not dave this is a clone!
Except he contradicts himself, but whatever.
@@jimwerther How so?
Lol you need omega 3s.
This is literally the best advertisement for Netflix I have ever heard ......that alone is worth a subscription. Well done Netflix
No kidding!! I don’t think I’ve EVER heard of a company the size of Netflix doing anything that COSTS them money simply on a moral basis! I now completely understand why all these other media companies that used to work with Netflix have all suddenly turned on them and are trying to destroy them. They are a large company with good morals. That can become an extremely dangerous thing for all these horrible companies if allowed to continue to grow and accumulate more power and influence
I agree! In another note, I tried more than once to get the fly on your pfp off of my screen lol
Yeah but the part he chose to leave out is that it's a win win for Netflix. Worst case they continue to stream his stand up specials. Even better, they make more deals for future specials. The jackpot for Netflix? They land a future iteration of Chapelle show.
THERES A FUCKING FLY ON MY OHINE
@@kenplant91 Hey, man. I don't blame either of them. What's better than getting a paycheck AND having a heart?
I realize "you should know what's in the hot dogs you eat" is just a sentence. But the immense level of depth to that statement is unmeasurable!
The industry is a reflection of the society. That's how almost every profession is.
This is a GREAT monologue. Big ups for exposing them consistently
one day people will audition with this
Oh please, he didn’t expose anything…
The beast is much more mysterious and complex. Also Dave is part of the club so to speak. He’s not gonna tell all, he’s under oath.
@@stevenl1706 under oath!! LMAO
@@stevenl1706 give us a fuckng break, conspirator. This man is dropping real knowledge he has experienced in his life, while you're over here bout to give us the low down on the illuminati like you didn't get all your "evidence" from shitty conspiracy forums and RUclips channels.
All he can do is monologue (ramble) because he’s not an ounce of funny anymore. Standup is in such a bad spot right now because of “”””comedians”””” like this being called great.
This is deeper than deep. It's the TRUTH.
How do you know it's the truth? Do you have any evidence from Hollywood?
It's faker then fake . He is a B

I was with him till he started crying that Comedy Central ruined his life .. that’s some weak shit.. coming from a guy who talks about people having brittle spirits
The way this guy puts his thoughts together is phenomenal. Bad ass dude.
Glad Dave brought up Prince, who began fighting for artists rights 30 years ago. The media made him out to be crazy, but he refused to stop.
This man is awake and he knows how the evil works. Respect

"Taking a man's livelihood from him is like killing him." I wish more people understood that phrase.
Wonder what he thinks about vaccine mandates...it's jab or job. People are losing their livelihoods for choosing not to take experinental medicine into their bodies. Lives altered, ruined, taken away by government because they have chosen (for whatever reason) not to get the shot.
@@truetalk5211 bro just get vaccinated. If you lose a job because you don't want to vaccinate then that's on you and no one else. If you lose a job because you don't want to wear a mask then that's on you. @@truetalk5211 I'm sorry that it has come down to 'mandatory vaccines,' but if people would just do their own research & get a better understanding on pathologies. Remember your "RIGHTS" end where my "RIGHTS" start. No one has the RIGHT to put another human being life endanger! But my original post has nothing to do with getting vaccinated. It's about a person not getting or losing a job because someone can't see past themselves. Based on liking or not liking a person...nothing to do with having skills, education, & experience.
I got chills. Never come between a man and his money.
@@mzwethu3805 Dude, don't tell people what to do. You want to take the jab, you go ahead and do that. Let people make their own decision, if the vaccine worked, it wouldn't matter to you or anybody else that's vaccinated if other people didn't take it.

This made me realize that my favorite teacher ever actually taught us like this she was amazing
No matter what he chooses to talk about, the masses will listen... Powerful dude...
Listening but not hearing.
