Under screen camera was a great decision here. People who complain about quality need to rethink why they take selfies with a tablet when they can do it with a phone (when folded) or even with the awesome rear cameras that are way better than any selfie sensor.
I agree however I just wonder how Duo and zoom look on it. That is the only thing I use that camera for on the z fold 2.
That's actually a brilliant idea about the fingerprint scan (I'll try that and register it with the thumbprint as well); waiting on mine to arrive. Can't wait! (I've honestly not been this excited about a new device in many, many years!)
Same here. The hype is real (and unbearable)!
The Only downside is all these RUclipsrs get theirs weeks early and the rest of us have to wait.........I payed for mine outright and got the unlocked version.
@@andoryus My point stands though. What's the difference between you watching a review of it on launch day than watching it weeks early? If what the videos show are what you decide to order it on the merits of you'd get the same videos launch day as you do weeks early. My point is these RUclipsrs don't need it early. If they are going to do that they should have just let us go buy it on the 11th. I dropped 2079.00 for mine cash no plans or BS so honestly i should have been sent it that day. Plus Bestbuy sucks and isn't including any pack ins like Samsung is which is annoying.

So I owned the Zfold2 for about a month, couldn’t justify the price. I didn’t like the screen inside because it felt super rubber-ish due to the screen protector that was installed. It also left finger nail impressions on the screen. Today I went to Best Buy to see the fold3 and WOW they really fixed the screen 80% stronger, it feels like glass, the screen protector feels like glass, the top edges of the screen don’t exist. I tried to burry my finger nail into the screen, it left no mark or impression. It’s built solid. I couldn’t believe it. Just ordered one. Note the big issue is software optimization for 3rd party developers, if you can’t sell a billion devices, then why develop for it. Super solid phone. Also the body of the phone way better feeling harder, and no texture .
Just what I was looking for. Nobody talks about how soft new screen is or is it really REALLY 80% stronger.

When he folds open the phone the unlock pattern is in the center by default. The arrows next to it are so that you can have it on the left or the right side without having to stretch your fingers
I must say.. your lighting, video quality, and how you showcase the Z Fold 3 (and other products) are the best I have seen thus far. Cuts are not super short and allow us to actually get a 'real' virtual feel for the product(s).
That fingerside unlock method blew me away. What a tip! Waiting for my z fold 3 to arrive and this video helped me a lot getting ready for it.

That's totally an awesome review... made me consider to actually buying it but I know I'll always go for Note line up. If Note series will be discontinued, I'm confident enough that Z Fold series will become more mature to actually be worth buying (less noticeable crease).

I've had my z fold 3 for 3 months going on 4 and I absolutely love it. I was debating on getting the iPhone 13 pro max but I went with the z fold 3 instead and I'm glad I did. Awesome phone.

About the crease that everybody talks about and seems to be annoyed about. Remember there is also a crease in a normal book or a
Magazine or a newspaper. And so has it been for ages or should I say for many many decades. I don´t see the problem at all.
But text doesnt go through the crease tho so you ignore it by default. Anyway they say the crease isnt as noticeable irl as compared to videos.
@@ramramraider I used one in person and honestly you can't notice it. Of course if you look for it but it's still not distracting. Also the crease feels smoother than previous years
Yeah, the crease isn't any more noticeable than regular glare/reflections
I don’t mind the crease that much but this is a really bad take. We’re talking about a smartphone, not an e-reader. Would you watch a movie on a TV with a big crease? Would you edit video on a computer with a screen that has a similar fold going down the middle? Smartphones are do-all devices nowadays and for a product that is being hyped up as a productivity machine, it’s absolutely fair game to criticize and be annoyed with such a noticeable shortcoming.

There's old saying that the only way not to regret buying a new device is saving money until the last day of the life and buying the newest one with all that money.
I got to admit that me, i was thinking to get fold 2, didnt require my standard, i got the galaxy note20 ultra, i love up so far, I'm debating to upgrade to fold 3, depending i see it is not really upgrading, but the fold 3 almost meet my standard, i know fold 4 or hopefully fold 5 meet my standard

when the device is that big, its uncomfortable to use spen while holding it, in galaxy note its still bearable
most people got cases so its never a problem

I am impressed by this phone. I was looking at this phone but an earlier model last year. There were problems with the screen breaking for one thing. Was told to wait for the next model to come out. This looks great!
When the first fold came out I wanted it so bad, but I told myself I'd wait untill the fold 3. So samsung could work out any bugs. I can happily say that I pre-ordered the fold 3 on 11th. I'm super excited 😄

To those saying they can't afford this, pre-order one now and you get the 512gb storage for the price of 256gb plus $90 education discount. Yes it's still ~$1600 but just do the payment plan ... Life is too short, treat yourself with something nice once in a while!
You can also bring the price down trading in a phone as well
On top they are giving you some credit to purchase some accessories for no cost, so you can buy the power brick for free and can fit a case on top of that

Is there a way of disabling the under display camera, so it does not Pixelmator on the inner display? Can you pull up RUclips and Netflix to see what video looks like on the inner display?

Seems like a miss to not allow the S Pen to write on the external screen…would assume a Fold 4 upgrade…would be great for quick notes.
Yep. That's why I'm not purchasing the fold phone. I use my notes phone for work.
As a long time Note user, it's not a miss at all. Even on smaller notes (I have a Note 10 rn) the screen is too small to really justify using the pen. No one would use the pen on the front screen even if they could.
Even if it's just 72 hours, it would've been great if you mentioned the battery life.

The first few days the battery life generally isn’t as good.
Can you do a demonstration of RUclips in full screen? Did they fix the black bars issue?
Calender, Clock, Spotify are all exactly the same on the Fold 2. All the additional features like the Dock will land in the Fold 2 once the One UI 3.1.1 launches for us Fold2 owners.
Yeah, the Fold 3 is more of a hardware upgrade, the software optimization had begun from the first Fold already and J being expanded to more apps
@@gao1812 to me the fold 3 is a minor upgrade coming from the fold 2 . I personally don't care for s pen support. The udc is at 4 or 5 megapixels and the battery is smaller then in the fold 2 well 120 hertz on the external screen is nice but not bigger. I am just gonna wait till the fold 4 comes out.
@@joeyreidelbach5509 yep a minor upgrade from fold 2 but a massive leap for someone not on the foldable army. Better hold on to your phone for atleast 3 years.

The tabs on crome and Spotify looks the same on the z fold 2? I used the screen layout and zoom in settings
Not worth the upgrade from the Fold 2, but looks good. Glad price is didn't go up. Disappointed no new cameras. I actually just dropped my Fold 2 in the pool the other day. Was fully submerged on the first step into the pool for about 5 seconds. Still works!
Not only did they not go up, they went DOWN $200. Quite impressive.
Price lowered on trade ins though...my note 10+ is now worth 525 from 625

As for the rocking, I highly doubt anyone will put their phone down without a case which raises out passed the camera bump. Otjet them that great review.

Once the screens get strong enough, Samsung could make it fold the other direction. That would likely eliminate the crease and would remove the need for the second screen (which could potentially lower the price.) I get that they don't do it now because the folding screen isn't strong enough to not get scratched up in your pocket, etc., but it would be interesting to see them try in a later version.

Is the oleophobic coating any better?
On my Note10+ it was terrible straight out of the box, as elegant as window glass, it got grimy so quickly. I wish Samsung would put more focus towards improving this. iPhone's have always had a very good oleophobic coating with a premium glossy finish, they feel so good in the hand and my new phone stays feeling newer (and cleaner) for longer.
How about is battery life? I'm very excited for this phone and I want it...but I haven't press the trigger yet just because I'm scared of battery life. Nobody has been talking about that during these days. Currently I've got a note 20 ultra 5G with exynos processor and I don't want worse battery life with the fold 3!
The battery is 4500 mah and the fold 3 has 2 screens 120 hz so I think the battery is going to be poor unfortunately.
@@Tobetheone74 The new screen tech is 25% more power efficient than z fold 2, so the battery life should be better despite the slightly lower capacity.
Battery Life is exactly the same as the fold 2 which is pretty good. Even though the fold 3 has a slightly smaller battery the phone is actually more efficient.
I think these reviewers are specifically told NOT to talk about certain features and things such as the BATTERY until atleast after the phone gets released fully on the 27th to avoid people from being discouraged from buying it if they tell us that it isn't good on battery . It is a marketing strategy as always ... same thing with the controversy of the BANDS of the GALAXY WATCH 4. If you have been following videos , not many have clear up the hot debate of the size of the bands. Out of 50 plus videos on the watch 4 , not many are clear if we can use the 22mm bands from previous watches on this watch 4. Apparently the answer is NO, only 22mm for both sizes of watch 4 including the largest 46mm classic.

Hi, please can you talk about the PET screen? Z fold 2 main screen nearly all users said it was too sticky and rubbish quality, how does the PET change things?
The case they offer with the spen for the zfold 3 should eliminate the wobble while sitting flat.

They definitely should have the s pen built in on the 4, and also make it usable on the front screen. Add a high end camera and it will be close to a perfect phone.
@@marcuslee842 that would increase the thickness a LOT or decrease the battery a LOT. They found a good balance, in my opinion. Technology will have to change dramatically to get what you want.
And a wider front screen.
@@dansourile5444 I respectfully disagree. I don't see thickness as a big issue as it's a foldable phone. It not thin right now. My note has the s pen and better camera and it's not thick at all. And battery shouldn't be to difficult either seeing that the battery in this is smaller but the hardware is more efficient giving it comparable or maybe better life than the fold 2.
Hello. Got my Fold 3 pre-order yesterday and I have some issue with the power button, as it's kind of loose. Don't know if it is how it's supposed to be or it is an actual issue with my unit. It works flawlessly but it feels very loose while you put your finger on it. Have you encountered this so far?

Yes I am curious about that too. I heard from z fold 2 users that videos are cut off and have like a widescreen view with black on the top and bottom so the actual video is no bigger than a normal smartphone. Is this the case on z fold 3? I mainly use my phone to watch videos so I thought this phone would be nice to have the bigger screen but if it doesn’t allow you to view videos on full screen then it wouldn’t be worth the money for me. Please any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for your video

Cant use Spen on the front screen, as a Note user I dont liked to use plastic surface for writing.
