Thank you for your work! Very much enjoyed the candid and informative infos. Very easy to follow as well!
I just purchased more shoes to review.
Great breakdown of the functions that make a good trail shoe. I appreciate this video.
Thank you.
Hi Alan! I think the Adidas are thought for wet and muddy terrain as the sole looks pretty similar to Salomon Trail running shoes with cleats. But I wonder about the rock plate inside. Anyway, very interesting comparison!
Is there a referenceIs it suitable for acquisition?Merrell Cham 7 Slam Luna LTR Walking Shoes
Great review! Speed for me!
💜 for the correct pronunciation of Adidas. In general it's a sign of respect to at least say the names of people or brands (or in the case of Adidas sorta both) properly, so thank you for that and if someone is judging you because you try to show respect, maybe they should adjust their attitude.
Which shoe would you choose: Brooks Cascadia 16 or Merrel Moab Speed?
Just a short information on the origins of the name Adidas: It is related to the name of the company’s founder Adolf “Adi” Dassler. Otherwise fantastic review. The Swift R3 might not perfectly fit to the other shoes for this comparison, as they are more stable and a kind of approach shoe. There are other, lighter variants in Adidas program. Regarding grip: This Continental profile is more made for rocky underground.
Do you think the Contonental sole would hold longer on asphalt overall, because it's harder? All my shoes are done after two year at most, becaue the sole has been walked through ..
Yes, they will defininitely last longer. Long time users have commented on my channel about this. My theory is that the only downside is that they are less grippy than softer outsoles.
@@Dusty_Hikers Thank you I think less grip is OK for city only :)
Hi . Very informative. I ve decided to order merrel moab speed from US .I was checking online n its price on one site is $99.73 and in your link its $109.99. I m in a doubt if the lesser amount shoes might be fake or replica. My friend is coming from US in a week or precisely say 22nd of this month. What do you suggest. Thanks
Hello Syed! Great choice. I really like the Merrell Moab Speed. Use the cheaper link. I doubt they are fake.
@@Dusty_Hikers " use the cheaper link. I doubt they are fake. " I didn't get you Dusty. Should I go for your link if its original?
@@Dusty_Hikers one more thing, gore tex is a good choice or a non-waterproof ?
Hey Syed! For the link, I was just advising you to get the best price. I think if you click on my link then click to another shoe I still get something from Amazon. The non Gore-Tex version would be a three season hiker while the Gore-Tex version would work great even in the winter.
I'm not convinced by Vibram soles. I have two pair of Merell shoes, one with soles optimized specifically for ice, but they have don'T even have the least grip.
That is interesting. I always find them to be great. I would say megagrip from vibram is definitely very good. The compound on the Moab 3 is not as good but still decent.
I agree. I own Merrell Moab 2 Vent and I found them on wet surface to be really dangerous to wear.
It’s funny how the continental sole on the adidas shoe isn’t very good for grip over in the US while over in the UK on steep muddy trails with exposed wet rocks and lots of tree roots the continental sole blows all my vibram sole boots out of the water for grip 🤷♂️
It's probably a problem with metric versus imperial, or stone versus pounds.
Your pronounciation of "Adidas" makes me happy as a German. I always cringe a little when hearing the american one.
And Adidas is a German brand after all :D
:D Thank you for sharing!
asics venture 8 still better!
I still have to try those.
Aren t you special
