Wonderful, they have the boxes, how fun...........We had a housefire, and had been told that the Seico could be returned. They gave us 4 watches to replace for all our family.............Buck knife also replaced our burned knifes..........So enjoyed the video, blessings
I disagree its a fashion brand with cheaper (miyota or SII) japanese quartz movements manufactured in qungzaou. Like an invicta or technomarine, or something is a comparable brand. They sell well and kids like them cuz they are big and flashy but seiko is higher end watch wise. I bet u could get like $150-300 for it tho. Its a good brand to sell to high school and college kids. But they arent water proof. Thats just marketing like invicta. They will fog up even if u have them in the bathroom outside if u take a shower. But, yeah still a cool looking watch! It should sell well! Cheers!
Great video….side note: I have a Casio Pro Trek from 2008 that I bought in Quatar while on R&R during a deployment. It’s still on its same battery, looks relatively brand new and works phenomenally. The one watch that I thought wouldn’t last long has outlived every other watch that I have……
Reactor watches are supposedly the most durable in the world. They have a 10 year battery and a tripple o-ring seal good for waterproof up to some ridiculous depth like 1000 m or somthing. Cost is about 400.00 US.
All these fancy watches remind me of the watch I thought was the coolest when I was a kid. I got a watch that could store phone numbers, had alarms, and a stopwatch. I thought I wasn't the coolest kid ever with that thing!
Enjoyed seeing all the watches, I worked at a jewelry too. For 18 years I sold both Seiko and Tissot, and replace more watch batteries than I can count. The automatic watches are nice but we had a few older gentleman that would bring them in because they would stop running part way thru the day. If they were sedentary the oscillating weight wouldn't wind the mainspring enough to run the watch all day. Try telling an older man you need to move around more. Lol
Every time you went like "oh, yep, another cheap novelty watch".... I liked them best. I guess value truly is in the wallet of the beholder :D I am very glad that the ones I liked were not expensive, because that makes it possible for me to buy something like that. I found the first novelty one very "harry potter-esque". I love those little open clock pointers.... (dont know the english word for that) and I liked how it felt old. But then again, I don't really like carrying around really expensive things, because then if I lose it, I'm devastated, while when they're not so expensive, I can replace what I've lost.
Seiko 5's are entry level automatics, most of them cost less then 100 dollars new. The auto Tissot PR100 costs around 300 bucks new these days. Still a great haul for 700 bucks though, you did well.
some folks can't wear a windup or automatic watch cause of the electricity in thear bodys like my self and my dad .have tried and most stop or go backwards on us. so the quartz watches were a godsend to us.
Wind up or automatic watches cant run backwards due to how the spring and related mechanisms works in any watch of quality. You can only wind the spring in one direction and it can only move the mechanism in one direction. A more reasonable explanation is that you and your dad have some electrical equipment in your surroundings that magnetizes the main spring and that can make an automatic watch wildly inaccurate or stop it until the spring is demagnetized. This problem is why back in the day you had watches like the Rolex Milgauss that were extra shielded against magnetic fields.
Aw, this came on after I was already sawing lumber. Reading through the live chat replay, I think late-night streams must attract weirdness, lol. Alex, you have a Mr. Rogers vibe going with your sweater and friendly manner. Sending hugs from Missouri.
Don´t underestimate these Swiss Army watches you put away so carelessly. It´s true, most of them aren´t worth much, but some of them can be quite valuable. So I´d look them up at least. But anyway, nice find!
I bought a cheapo calculator watch similar to that one in 1980 I think. You could also play a primitive game on it. The watch became a cross to bear, because my boss would come over and want to play it when he was bored.
All those watches makes me think of that scene in Doctor Strange when he opens the dresser drawer and it’s full of a variety of watches. And any time anyone asks “what’s in the box?” I always think of Brad Pitt’s scene in Seven.
I love your videos, but i have to add (sorry) that seiko "5" watches or the "5's series of automatics" are seikos affordable line of automatic watches. New they range from $75-300 online (usd) but there are rare vintage models (sportsman 5, 5 actus series) that sell for more on ebay/chrono 24. the more higher end contemporary automatics seiko offers (non divers) are the presage line, and primer line of Made In Japan watches. The JDM models sell well too. The tissot's are very nice i have a few with the powermatic (in house) and eta caliber (with silicon hairspring). I think the guy payed too much on them. U can buy them on amazon for like $300 (usd). But u can sell them for like 400 probably on ebay theres always buyers for the eta-2824 based (PRX) automatics. Again i love your videos, keep up the great work!
I love watches I want a swatch watch from the 80’s. I was born in 76 so I wanted a black calculator watch from Payless in the states when I was little lol
What is making so many of us, so interested in watches. I just enjoy to see all the different style, and how they are made. I would love that Tissot with Gold. How can i reach out to get a price and buy it. Wish you all a great weekend. Keep watching and enjoy the time, from Jan in Norway
I’ve seen 3 of your videos and there’s not a chance you randomly found these at estate sales. It’s always very nice mid to high end watches a lot of NOS you are a watchmaker or know a watchmaker and use these pieces for content. I’m not hating on it just calling a spade a spade. Hey whatever gets views so I ain’t mad at ya
Hi there!! Always great to watch your video. Fun entertaining and your a fair guy with the sellers. I always like the Elgin pocket watches from the turn of the century. Nice. Pocket ones make you look posh when your not. Thanks and take care bye
for what you do, you don't really seem to know much about watches or the market. Still fun to watch, think you'll find that Omega is not the big money maker you are thinking, would like to see a follow up on what you made out of the lot.
Wonderful, they have the boxes, how fun...........We had a housefire, and had been told that the Seico could be returned. They gave us 4 watches to replace for all our family.............Buck knife also replaced our burned knifes..........So enjoyed the video, blessings
Cameras out....watches in.....stock kept fresh and organized!....God bless y’all and stay safe and healthy!
I didn't have TIME to WATCH on live feed!!😜🤣🤣🤣
Those Tissot watches are beautiful!
👍👌👏 Very well done again! Congrats!
Best regards luck and health to all of you.
Wow! Great stuff! Lots of fun!
Automatics and manual-wind watches don't need a
Wow outstanding score 👏👌👍
Loved the Star Trek reference. I was laughing hard enough to spit out my coffee. 😂😂
I love good time pieces. But in with my budget, they are hard to fine. Enjoy you're information and experience.
I like the novelty pocket watches and have more than a few. I like that I can pick them up cheap even if they're not unique or valuable.
Man I wish I had you with me a year ago. I could have made a pretty penny on a box of old watches. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
"You've got a lot of time on your hands" Melissa's got jokes! 😄😄😄
Missed you live. Neat little purchase. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
The reactor watch is valued at $700 to $1000 usd, they are a high end watch.

Enjoyed. Interesting watches.

Bulova tuning fork is not a regular battery operated watch! Probably worth at least as much now as it was new, and possibly more!
Reactor watches are supposedly the most durable in the world. They have a 10 year battery and a tripple o-ring seal good for waterproof up to some ridiculous depth like 1000 m or somthing. Cost is about 400.00 US.
They are junk watches
Nice watches ;)
That story about radioactive paint is realy sad. But they won in the end.
Love the sorting videos. Thanks for sharing. 😎😎😎

😆
Probably when automatics were invented nobody thought that would ever be a problem
Michael J. Fox/Marty wore a calculator watch in Back to the Future.
Every time you went like "oh, yep, another cheap novelty watch".... I liked them best. I guess value truly is in the wallet of the beholder :D

I agree those "cheepy" watches are desired
Love your watch videos! I’d say this was a good find you can sell the good ones at a good price so they move no problem and still make some profit
I looked up those Reactor watches. New ones seem to have a minimum MSRP of around $400-500 depending on the model.
The gold scale is really cool!!!
Seiko 5's are entry level automatics, most of them cost less then 100 dollars new. The auto Tissot PR100 costs around 300 bucks new these days. Still a great haul for 700 bucks though, you did well.
It’s amazing what you can do one handed

Two hands! Nice watches. You won't lose money on this batch.
You have some nice finds in that collection Alex.
What an interesting assortment! So glad I watched ... Get it - watched? Watches! 🙃
They should make a baseball watch featuring Jose Can Seiko. Local coin shop used to sell coins for 5c and less by the pound!
Haha
@@CuriosityIncorporated Geneve is Geneva in Switzerland.
I have a 60's Tissot with dual digital / analog from the first digital. It used to work - really cool. I wonder if it's worth anything.
Don´t underestimate these Swiss Army watches you put away so carelessly. It´s true, most of them aren´t worth much, but some of them can be quite valuable. So I´d look them up at least. But anyway, nice find!
Careful with that “Omega”. The case back looks wrong (no logo).
I would be interested in the gold scales if the price is right..
I bought a cheapo calculator watch similar to that one in 1980 I think. You could also play a primitive game on it. The watch became a cross to bear, because my boss would come over and want to play it when he was bored.
😆
Thank you so much for moderating. I really appreciate not being bombarded with negativity; we have plenty of that pushed at us in the news every day.
I had a reactor watch that I got from what you may call a goodwill shop . It had a very heavy build but not the top quality
Swiss Army Victorinox watch, I have one that cost over $800.00, in 8 years 2 batteries !
All those watches makes me think of that scene in Doctor Strange when he opens the dresser drawer and it’s full of a variety of watches. And any time anyone asks “what’s in the box?” I always think of Brad Pitt’s scene in Seven.
even a broken watch tells the right time twice a day
That sounds like what my dad used to say when I was a kid. 👍
That Reacter watch is a sport watch. Hardy enough to withstand the elements while you work out. According to website they are about $300 US
Looks like a great buy, I’m also a watch collector!

Enjoyed "watching" with everyone
Those Seiko 5 watches are worth about $100 each. Seiko 5 is the affordable line. I just bought a brand new Seiko 5 for $116.
Interesting watches.
That Bulova automatic is worth way more than $100.
I love watches I want a swatch watch from the 80’s. I was born in 76 so I wanted a black calculator watch from Payless in the states when I was little lol
Was the Omega authentic?
What is making so many of us, so interested in watches. I just enjoy to see all the different style, and how they are made. I would love that Tissot with Gold. How can i reach out to get a price and buy it. Wish you all a great weekend. Keep watching and enjoy the time, from Jan in Norway
How much for the calculator watch? A friend of mine wears one.
Here I am watching the re-take after the live stream. 🙂

Hola en donde compras las cajas de relojes, es alguna página especial
I wear solar-powered watches. There's still a battery but it can last quite a long time.
I would buy that for $700 all day long! Great deal!
That Olympic coin is worth a few bucks to coin collectors.
We're do you get a box of watches
I think some of those pocketwatches would do well for folx who do steampunk or history bounding.
Nice collection of watches.
I bet that calculator watch will go first.
Dad watches are a good seller, rememer there are a lot of dads out there.
I Love that scale my brother just came back from Cali panning gold
Do you still have the caravelle pocket watch? if so how much?
I love collecting waches how can I buy some of yours ??
Those pocket watches are highly sought after by steam punk people and cosplay people.
Pulsar is now made by Seiko. Caravelle and Bulova are now under the Citizen umbrella.
Yay!!!!! Good catch!!!!
What's the price on the second Timex in the first box?
How much did you make?
I can see some Australian coins in there. If you come across some predecimal Australian pennies check the dates, there are some rare ones e.g. 1930
Orient is A Topnotch Brand up there with seiko.
Do you sell online?
saw lots of reactor watches online for sale....none with a box...maybe.....!
Is this haul from "the Musician home"? (The December-20 episodes.)
Is this the lot you flipped or another batch?
A different lot
How much for the thin pocket watch ?
Have you sold the watches yet?
Casio probably keeps better time than any of them
The Omega looks like a knockoff
Hi there!! Always great to watch your video. Fun entertaining and your a fair guy with the sellers. I always like the Elgin pocket watches from the turn of the century. Nice. Pocket ones make you look posh when your not. Thanks and take care bye
nice deal
I am laughing at myself because i thought the video is buffering and stalled but then I realized I somehow paused it....DOH!!!
That radio shack calculator watch priced at $40 is only about 25 years old.
I had a calculator watch in the mid 80s.
for what you do, you don't really seem to know much about watches or the market. Still fun to watch, think you'll find that Omega is not the big money maker you are thinking, would like to see a follow up on what you made out of the lot.
Hey sending love from California
Reactor watches are 300 and up!
Total score! Jealous.
See what you did? Now I want some Pizza 🍕 Brew 😀
Hi Alex and Melissa.
many women who painted the watches with radioactive paint died with cancer
Yes, truly horrible. I read a book on it "The Radium Girls".
The kids that come in for candy might be interested in the Timex watches. It could be the start of their own collecting bug??
Maybe the previous owner of the watches was a dealer. Maybe he had a jewelry store.
