That cloth that they included looks like Ukrainian cross stitch embroidery. Also quite sellable or keep it as part of your heritage (or see if your mom would like it).
I wouldn’t consider this junk stuff, that Casio is quite an expensive one for what it is because it’s older I think. Also some of the other watches are pretty nice I think.
It is so awsom how the spoonsai fits in your design. I really love the place for it. I hope one day I going to find a box like that, without paying monney for it. but not with the attention to find something special but to use the peaces for my projects. I keep looking 😉
The Casio at 7:28 looks like the early 90s AMW-320 nicknamed the ‘Arnie’ … after one mr Schwartzenager who wore it in a film. I have one. Good watch! 👍🏻
I have two eco-drive watches. Both worked when I got them, but once they're broken they're usually toast. That Casio chronograph is something I'd cheerfully wear too. I used to wear a Casio Databank, until a "jeweler" killed it. Repaired and happily worn by a buyer in New Zealand of all places. It's great to see a wounded bird watch back to life!
On my channel, I always buy watch lots, and this was a good score. I would of paid $100 easy. The broken Tissot, wittnauer and the bulova are worth money
I love this! Where do you guys sell all of the good things you discover? I’m Curious what state are you guys in? Just wondering. You should tell people where you sell things as they might be interested in buying some items. Thank you for all the great videos! Great job! Sue
You can take the clear glasses on the watch if it has a good band on it? Put any thing in it and poor, resin in it! Make pretty jewelry trinkets, sparkles, coins ,flowers, leaves so on! In them! Sale them to people! Make some money on them ,back! Mary in floeida!🤔😎🌴😁😉♥️
Citizens Eco Drive watches are decent watches. They do not need batteries or winding. I've had the same one for 10 or years. I wear it daily. $250.00+- and up new.
the casio that you said would be good for one of your boys. i purchased in the early 90s for 140 ca$ , was a great watch till the crown gave out in 2010s
1:26 I bought a box of watches at a barn sale for $10.00. there was an Omega watch i sold for $240.00 and a watch that became a robot when you pushed a button. Sold that for $80.00. good day for thrifting
Quartz clocks existed in 1950's, but only in the laboratory/high precision settings. Seiko introduced first mass-market quartz wristwatch movement, 35A, in 1969.
This video made me think of the fake Rolex watches I wore in the 1980s. One day my boss and I compared my fake "gold" Rolex copy with his real gold Rolex watch. He won.
As he shared, ‘it appears to be the remains of a watchmakers replacement parts stash’. When I was a very young child there was a watchmaker in the neighborhood that repaired watches. He had similar bins. He allowed myself and my siblings to “play” with the parts, as long as we put the parts back in the bin we took it from. He was more organized than this in that he had separate bins for faces, backs, etc. I was so intrigued with all the shinny bits and bobs.😁
I have a lot of watches I've been trying to get rid of. I think you would have a TON of interest in some of the pieces I have. Any way to send you a couple photos? I've got an ECO Drive that still functions. A Swatch that was owned by Mayor Mel Lastman of Toronto Ontario.
The Citizen eco drive watches just leave out in the sun for a day. Those watches are really durable and are solar powered. Should start ticking once they recharge their batteries
Hey there - been watching for a while now. Love treasure hunting myself 😉. A couple years ago I purchased one of those $20. Jewelry jars at a thrift. Discovered a Girard Perregaux. I had it cleaned and replaced the stem. Would you be interested?
I know nothing about vintage watches but I inherited a Girard Perregaux from my husband’s grandmother when she passed away 20 years ago. It’s probably from the 50s or 60s. Is it collectible? Do they have value? It’s in really good condition. I was planning on donating it.
Are you familiar with Nikkid Watchmaker on RUclips? He may want to purchase some of these watches as his channel shows how he refurbishes and restores old broken watches no one else could afford to.
I wonder if Star Trek fans would want the dive watch without the crystal/glass front? It would need a back and the proper strapping...The fact that it is not functioning is even better.
That's why I never buy the bags of watches from the Salvation Army stores... it's all junk... I have found a few working manual wind Bulova's and Timex's at the flea market from time to time for a couple of bucks that have been worth it... even when missing the band, I can always find a decent band that fits from one of the broken ones for a dollar... flea markets are fun, never know what you will find, and if you're lucky, the vendor doesn't know the value of what he has...
See from time to time in your garage a huge Dutch wallklok beside your carlift. They are called ‘Groninger Staartklok’ and most of them originate from about 1850/1900. I’ve got two of them, whats the story of yours? It must have come to Canada with Dutch immigrants in the 1950’s i would think.
You can bet your viewer, who knows what to look for thanks to you, carefully went through their junk drawer before sending it to you. To me, trying to get some profit out of that pile is more trouble than it's worth. But if it gives you pleasure ...
lol There's always at least one comment along the lines of... "Gee, someone must have picked through THAT (fill in the blank) before you got there, saw it, bought it, removed it, etc. lol Despite...or in spite of...the skeptics, this ol' world just keeps on a-turnin'.
I liked watching this. It's interesting to see what Alex can find out of that box that is worth something. He never fails in finding a treasure or two out of the smallest purchase he makes.
Steampunk artists would love this pile of parts. Glad you found one really nice working watch and perhaps a few more that will work plus some parts for repairs. I have a small woman's Timex I got back in 1977 as an 8th grade graduation gift from an old family friend. One of my sons overwound it when they were little. I'm thinking about getting it fixed. A watch repair shop told me they could fix it for about $25 or so, which is more than it's worth but I just loved this little watch because I have really small wrists plus it is sentimental.
That doesn't sound like such a bad price to fix it. I remember my watch my parents gave me for 8th grade graduation in 1975 (back when that was the popular graduation gift). It was a Caravelle with regular numbers, not roman numerals, it had a round face. The seconds hand was red and it had a leather strap. I loved that watch! Every so often I go on Ebay and try to find it. I have found what I thought was it but it was so beat up and the crystal was scratched.
Inspired me to pull out my old Rolex. It's served well. Alaska, 12 years in Antarctica. 14 months at the South Pole. The tick mark fell off, blocking the second hand. I shut 'er down easy and put in a well kept space.
That cloth that they included looks like Ukrainian cross stitch embroidery. Also quite sellable or keep it as part of your heritage (or see if your mom would like it).
Wow! The Casio watch came out great! Good looking watch, too.
I have a Casio like the one you liked at the end. I got it at an estate sale for a good price, it’s a very nice everyday watch
💖❤💘💝💓I love watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great evening!

I wouldn’t consider this junk stuff, that Casio is quite an expensive one for what it is because it’s older I think. Also some of the other watches are pretty nice I think.
@13:56. Alex, I'm a bit of a Timex fan. If that watch is working what would you want for it? If you have a leather band for it I'd like that as well.
The brodery cloth was very beautiful. ❤

Hi Alex and Melissa 🙋🏾. I hope you had a pleasant day ‼️
Your artist buddy could make a fabulous collage out of all of the parts and pieces that you don’t need.
Thanks for sharing ❤
The Casio at 7:28 looks like the early 90s AMW-320 nicknamed the ‘Arnie’ … after one mr Schwartzenager who wore it in a film. I have one. Good watch! 👍🏻
It is the Arnie, and the early one with the buttons opposite the stem.
A tripod? Two hands? 😲
Whew. It was only temporary. The world is still spinning on its axis. 🌍

I'm glad you're feeling better! On your intro, what skyline is that? I love the highlights of your channels history all in one intro.
Probably New York. He was pointing at the Statue Of Liberty.
Wow that's a lot of watch parts.
No you removed the guy in the intro that said “honey I’m home”. I forget what he said but I enjoyed that bit haha maybe I’m the only one
I loved that part. I always say that to my daughter when I come home from somewhere. The man's name is Hans. Very nice man.
I love it too...now when I come home ...that's what I say...Hans,I think was his name....I miss seeing him too

Alexander, parts n pcs would of interest to people who are into the Steampunk scene

for the solar watches you need to look for the "aqua" line to find a rolex movement
