The "Live" video is never going to be able to seamlessly show the event, nor is it meant to. It's just for folks who want to feel like they are getting to experience a little bit of the event as it happens. Obviously they will have the normal edited versions that show the events once the weekend is over.
Thank you for the short video! The first truck shown was pulling the Suburban with it's breaks on, where as the Suburban wheels seemed to be turning freely for the rest of the tow vehicles.
Matt was intentionally trying to give each truck a challenge, without making it too much of a challenge. This is not a real competition, it's an exhibition.
Sounds like Ole' Blue's motor was hurt. Sounded good on the testing video. There has to be a better way to run the towing show. Use a sled and do some grooming maybe. Run in classes. Maybe too much organization will kill the feel of the event.
Those tires may have been about entertainment value. Moab sand is a better platform than Hurricane's flour sand. His usual tires would have had better flotation. May well be that he knew that going back to Sand Hollow.
Come on guys. Either lock the brakes up on all the pulls or none of them. I think flipping vehicles over like last year was more fun. Everyone has seen pulled like this.
@@lethargicmotorsport2025 I guess, but all the other rigs including that eight-wheeled Jeep pulled it so much further, which I would imagine would be so much more impressive.
To make it really fair, the ALL the yellow vehicles being towed should ALWAYS have had their brakes LOCKED. Some were rolling. Not a fair contest IMHO.
haha it is just a little exhibition, this wasnt anything they used to get points or to win. That first rig was clearly going to pull the cars to the next state so they used the brakes to show how well it does.
@@primrosereceptionist611 figured that may have been the intent.... reality though was, it appeared (judging by how much sand NOT thrown) it lightened his front end so that front wheels of truck did not get as good a traction, thus could not help as much.
If you DON"T dub over this .......... "audio" LOL .... with some clear, pleasant, correspondent chitter-chatter, then the 1.5 minutes of each day I tried to watch, will be , ALL I watch!
Matt is in the towed car applying the brakes as needed if it's too easy for the big wreckers. Or getting out and pushing. All just adding to the entertainment.
This short summary was much better than wading through three hours of "live" video.
Thank you! I didn't know how well a short video would do, but I'll keep them coming!
Keep em coming,
Not at impressed with the live video.

Barnum and Wetzel's fabulous flying circus. Send in the clowns!
Rory's Old Blue was sounding like a V7 with a blower on it!
Rory and his new 8-71 fed BBC looks like he had a blast!
I think he did! It is an amazing truck!
Ol' Blue looks so good now
@@ifabforfun beautiful truck
6-71 🍻🇨🇱🇨🇱🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Rory said that he wasn't happy with his tire choice. He wished that he brought the BFG's instead for the sand.
That background view is just awesome.
It really is! Such pretty country out here!
2:15 Rory and Ol Blue FTW!!! Special tires and a new blower!
A new blower and boy, she runs good! So cool to have seen in person.
Whole new engine...with a secret. Trailmater video released on the subject around 3/11/24.
Too much fun Rory, those paddles dug good holes.
Well, that's just fun.
Great video, thank you!🤙🏻😎
Glad you liked it!
The 8x9 is awesome af.
It sure is, quite the rig. Unfortunately, though, I heard it broke something. Hopefully, it will still compete.
The first pull... the suburban locked all 4 wheels... the other pulls they rolled.... kinda unfair..
I noticed it too.
Matt was intentionally trying to give each truck a challenge, without making it too much of a challenge. This is not a real competition, it's an exhibition.
Unfair? This is entertainment, not a competition. Organized sports like football, drag racing etc is boring.
You realize Matt got out and pushed the suburban during one run right? This is for fun. Don’t read so much into it.
Last year the event included a bribe-the-judges cycle before each heat. It’s not the competition you think it is.
Thanks Jacob 👍😎✊

Thanks for posting!! I missed a lot when they went to the site… cannot see tiny screen they had up.
My pleasure! Thank you for watching.
Yaa buddy Light weight
Thanks for sharing
It's my pleasure, the thanks go to you for watching!
Damn sir I can't believe I just now found your channel but thank you
The thanks go to you, I'm happy to have you along!
Thnk you for sharing pretty cool seen all the wreckers
Thank you for watching!
I would call Rory over Matt any day
How's the weather, Ed?
"Windy."
Very, very, windy, lol!
Yeah, I had sand all over everything. My tear ducts even had sand built up in them!
Awesome day!!!
I wonder how much sand went into the intake on that green truck
I'm betting a lot. The wind was blowing sand around like crazy, plus with all the vacuum from the blower. There's got to be some sand in it.
@@JacobNovoselStudios It just blows my mind. Spend so much to build a motor and then you don’t protect it lol.
That engine will be coming out presently anyway. It may not have been the original plan, but stuff happened and the show must go on.
Salem NY in the house
Glad you finally figured out not to stand behind stuff to film
Had to make do with what I had as I made my way through the crowd. I'll try to get closer for today's events👍
Looks like Rory put new shoes on Ole' Blue...
Loved that huge 6 door jeep. Who's rig is that?
Pat
Ole blues new tires looked awesome, The 6x6 was built by Mx2.

Come on guys. Either lock the brakes up on all the pulls or none of them. I think flipping vehicles over like last year was more fun. Everyone has seen pulled like this.
the yellow trucks wheels were locked the first pull and rolling the second
Why did he lock up the front brakes on the Suburban for the first truck but not for any of the other trucks?
I’m guessing because that was capable of pulling it with the brakes locked up and it was more impressive to the spectators to see that.
@@lethargicmotorsport2025 I guess, but all the other rigs including that eight-wheeled Jeep pulled it so much further, which I would imagine would be so much more impressive.
Good on yeh Rory!
Oh yeah! He put on a good show, that's for sure.
@@JacobNovoselStudios yeah Even with a cylender down!
Those tires on Ole Blue look tough.
But he mounted the backwards.
@robertheinkel6225 That way, they grab the loose sand better, like a shovel.
@zootsuitcooter They make the truck look so cool 😎 and grab the sand well.

. . . no Merlin Johnson , he's in Glamis turning double nickel's
If Rory had pullled from bumper instead of boom he would have done way better
Granted it would be less entertaining
@coachgeo Maybe he will try something different the rest of the weekend.
Actually Rory was trying to get the front wheels to lift out of the sand by using the boom. It's physics and geometry.🚗
@@primrosereceptionist611 figured that may have been the intent.... reality though was, it appeared (judging by how much sand NOT thrown) it lightened his front end so that front wheels of truck did not get as good a traction, thus could not help as much.
Where's your truck?
i thinks it´s just the most expensive test of "matts recovery robe" you can get
Haha, I didn't see any ropes break this weekend..
Nice video new subscriber here...
Thank you so much, and welcome!
Did you see chads fabs new wrecker perform?
I got to look at it, but unfortunately, I missed His pull. It is one sweet old truck though, glad he got it done in time!
This a spoof on the off road wrecker games?
Or is this season 2.
Hail trail mater II
It's now the Off Road Games. Wrecker pulls are just part of it.
Yeh, this is the boring one
He's trying something different, I think it's cool since he's bringing in so many other youtubers. And you still get the same wreckers.
they shut my chat off???? on Day 2 not fair
Sure looks a lot easier when it's edited down. Lol

That blue 6wheel jeep thing is ugly AF. I'm sure it took a lot of fab work but its still ugly.
To each their own, yes, the amount of work put into it is amazing.
@JacobNovoselStudios who built it? I can't seem to find any info on it? Do they have a channel?
@DeutschDiesel Here's a link to their channel. www.youtube.com/@MEGAX2UT They build some amazing rigs!
Man that thing looks gay. Im sure there is something better than that to use. A freaking yugo would look better. 😂
Borrrrrrrrring!

Stick to what got you here, my friend
On the other hand, Good for you.
