"Drive in the water Grandpa" Peer pressure is nothing compared to wanting to impress the grandkids.
Truest story ever told right here.
I have 8 grandkids @ 58 years old and these words can not be more true.
Im only 33 but I already know that will be a weakness for me lol. My little nieces and nephews and younger cousins already get me. My own kids little ones. I know it’s awesome to see.
My best friends and cousin just had a son. Every time I am around him I just cant stop smiling. Cant wait to have my own.
Exactly what I’m worried about if I have kids 😂😂
Hahaha
The ability to lift upwards on that jeep is what made it come out so easily. Hard to appreciate the difference that makes instead of trying push the mud along behind it.
Almost like it helps break the suction
Yeah, I don't know if it would have been possible even with the Morrvair AND the Banana winching in tandem. Needed elevation. Off-Road Wrecker earning its keep right there.
@@BringerOfDearth +Geometry
no disrespect but there were already at least 7 vehicle jeeps and truck already there and those vehicles could not get this vehicle out of that mud
I have moved some very heavy stuff with the simple addition of a gin pole. Instead of trying to pull the thing through the slope a gin pole allows you to pull it upward and away/above the slope. Even the simple addition of a tire rim (so the rope, cable, chain goes up and over) makes a huge difference and is well worth the effort.
Lesson learned: never kinetic pull a vehicle out that is stuck deep in mud. The suction is too much and damage will occur. Use a winch with constant pressure instead. Matt has said this numerous times in his videos! It's always been true!
Actually never kinetic pull a vehicle without a kinetic rope. They used a strap not made for kinetic pulls.
They used a flat strap. Not a yankum
Doesn't matter this one is crusher bound.
@@jordanwacker7762 Yes, absolutely true, you shouldn't do a "kinetic" pull without an actual kinetic rope, so that's half of their failure. But Matt's been very clear about NOT doing a kinetic pull in these conditions even with the correct gear for the reasons that Joe mentioned. There's just too much suction and you're going to break things. Slow and steady with a winch is MUCH safer.
@@jordanwacker7762 Not that a real snatch strap is bad, It's what we Aussies have gown up with, just 20% stretch instead of a yankum's 30%. It's plain straps that are the terrible idea.
Lizzy lowkey scolding Matt for leaving the control box on the tire and running it over was gold 😂
Just another of Matt's thoughtless mistakes, typical.
Least he didn’t run out of fuel ⛽️
@@theuglytruth8162 lol, here you are again troll! You never disappoint!
Your total green envy of Matt makes me wonder if you have a crush on him and resent the fact that he gives you no attention, no matter how hard you cry for it. Hope you get over it and for the love of God, seek help.
Cheers!
She’s so cute 😂
I love the customer stopping people from trying to steal the recovery and I love the wrecker making it look like an easy job.
Someone already tried to help him, and broke his truck, so he didn't take the chance on anyone else helping.
@@dubious6718 yea, I saw that. It was funny to see him tell people to stop after they already damaged something and after the crew got there. But it’s still better than getting help and not telling them they don’t need recovery anymore
All he wanted is the T-Shirt 😁
@The Trashman Pointless piggy comment
1 I dont think offering help is stealing. 2 There seems to be an issue with people using soft shackles wrong. Wouldn't surprise me if the same happend with blue steele. 3 The T-Shirt is for his wife. 4 Flood damage is hard on cars.
Matt, I know that your experience has a lot to do with your success in retrieving vehicles from some crazy places, but that extreme wrecker has got to be the coolest recovery vehicle for off road vehicles ever seen! The ability to pull that Jeep out without and seeming effort at all is beyond belief!
You must be so proud of the Wrecker, I hope you find time to keep developing and improving it.
Rhett has a fun personality, and it's great to see him getting more and more comfortable on camera. He's a real asset to the team. 👍
I don’t think there are any words to describe how versatile that wrecker is. It’s amazing.
That guy needs a shirt saying “granpa sent it!” 😂
Man, the wrecker made that job look easy! I know from watching previous mud recoveries that's not the case. You guys have built an incredible recovery asset.
I was thinking the same. Even with Winches, the Morvair would have been slipping and likely need to be anchored etc, and it would have been a much harder pull out to the road. This was the purpose designed rig Matt envisioned and is now proven, even as it is being further improved and tuned. One improvement I would add right away is a textured mat to the toolbox lid so that if there are riders they are more secure from sliding around on rough roads. Databyter
While everyone is raving about the wrecker, the Morrvair is quietly proving she is still a beast!! I think Matt has an awesome fleet of recovery vehicles!!
You know, if someone could wave a magic wand and wipe out stupidity, Matt's business would be cut in half. 🤣 Glad that can't happen! Another great video Matt and crew! Keep up the great work.
Lol “Drive through the water grandpa!” And he did!
level 100 gigagrandpa
As often as people end up riding the toolboxes, you really ought to put seats up there!👍
I was just thinking maybe they should try and put a bench seat in there🤔
I thought the same, two seats with seat belts would be awesome.
@The Trashman Matt said a while back they didn't do that because they needed all the visibility they could get, and a crew cab would just introduce more blind spots, or something to that extent.
I told you you needed a crew cab.
I think Subaru or Isuzu truck in the 80’s with the two bomber seats in the bed. It was call the Brat. Put you spurs on Lizzy.
Man. That wrecker is awesome! Pulled that out like it was nothing.
Everything about this video is great, awesome drone shots at the drowned Jeep, everyone gets to have a wheel in the wrecker, Jaymie always smiling, Jefe always smiling and Rhett quite happy to get wet and muddy!!
When you first laid down the chassis rails for the wrecker I couldn't see what you could in your mind, but the result is far greater than the sum of its parts, as its ability to lift AND pull made that Jeep rescue a 'so what?' proposition. Weapons-Grade recovery!
Jefe is like a little kid in his new bronco you can tell that he is so happy with that thing they probably made his dreams come true he wants to take that thing on every single recovery it seems like
He's probably asking to come along so he has an excuse to get paid to drive his new car off-road 😁
That wrecker is a game changer, tough recoveries are now much easier which reduces risks of injury to people and damage to customer vehicles.
It's a shining example of work smarter not harder.
Depends how you define harder. It did take them almost a year to custom build from the ground up.
@@stoffers6419 It's true what they say, Frankenana wasn't built in a day.
@@stoffers6419 that's still working smarter, sure it took a year but look how much easier recoveries are.
Great recoveries! Glad to see Jefe and the family, Lizzy too! That was some good blues music.
Thank you Matt's off road recovery for your intriguing videos and your mastery for getting them out! I am currently in Alabama on vacation but lost my ability to walk so watching alot of your videos. Thank you!
I wish all vehicles were as open and honest when they do something awesome/dumb. You are a cool Grampa.
The wrecker definitely needs MORR seats mounted to it 😂
Yeah 👍
Some folding jump-seats over the toolboxes, yeah
@@aaroncuilty9306 a wonderful idea 👍
Some old Traktor seat would be cool
Only down side... I could see someone getting thumped pretty good from a good sized rock coming off those big tires... Would have to build some type of fender 😊
The wrecker is a beast ! I would love to be able to get on a few trails with it ! Great Video as always MORR
Great video thank you for all your awesome content I would like to suggest you reinforce the top of the toolboxes and install seats on the back of the wrecker and maybe some mudguards even just some old conveyor belt held off the tyre by a pipe frame to keep the weight down anyway thanks again keep up the great work MORR crew
The upload frequency of quality content from MORR is getting *wild*
Jerking on it with a static strap... lucky all that got hurt was the window and taillight. That would have been a lot even for kinetic. Winch was definitely the right tool for that job. And with the wrecker booms being able to lift as well as pull made that look easy! Well done Matt and crew! Making the impossible look easy and professionalism all the way!
They tried with a strap to pull it out when most of the vehicles there has a winch.. amateurs.
They should probably watch some RUclips channels that do recoveries before they go out and use their recovery tools.
@Matt's Off Road Recovery yeah a little education can go a long way. Even the "proper" equipment can be dangerous if used improperly. That's one of the things I really like about your channel is that you're pretty good about explaining what you're doing and why. It's not quite a how-to video but it shows that you have the safety of your crew and the customer's vehicle in mind. Sometimes there's just no good way to do something and you do the best you can with what you have but you always make it as safe as possible. Hats off to you my friend keep it up.
I broke a 25,000 lb kinetic rope pulling with my Tacoma against a 2500 Silverado Duramax with its front axle buried in mud to the frame. Took out my tailgate. Then I used my Hi-Lift on a couple of 4x4's to lift the front out. Still got them out. New tailgate $120. Black primer contrasts well with my red Takoma. Lots of fun.
Tom Tom, did you find that micro sD card useful?
You got A Team on this rescue!!!!! Way to go Brett,,,, go gettim,,,I like watching your rescue when everyone is a good sport!!!!!!!!
A good lesson regarding the damage that can happen if you don't know what you're doing and don't have the right equipment.
I've heard Matt comment several times about the lack of fenders on the Off Road Wrecker. Some of the larger 4wd tractors have fenders that bolt to the axle and turn with the tire. The fenders are plastic and light weight. Possible they could be adapted to work on the wrecker.
Something like that might work and not interfere with the sweet sweet lines of the wrecker.
@@dmelson7502 Also needs to consider the flex when they're crawling buggy trails. Not an easy fix, I think.
@@warrendon1388 I think what he is getting at is if the fender is mounted to the axle the fender will move as the suspension flexes allowing there to be very little clearance between the tire and the fender with out ever interfering.
It's easy to look at all those rigs and wonder why they didn't get the Jeep out without MORR's help. Then you watch Matt's crew do the job and realize how much skill is really involved to do it right.
Except for the part where Tom Tom left the remote for the winch on the tire and Matt ran over it.
An enjoyable double feature video. I recommend commendations for Lizzey & Rhett for answering the call to duty. Two easy questions 1) Will the wrecker be getting an extended cab or possibly rumble seats ? 2) Will there soon be a line of Matt's Off Road Recovery swimwear or water rescue wetsuits ?
I've said it before the wreaker is awesome, it's a beast that can pull anything out of any situation. Matt did a great job building it.
Matt's got such a great crew. Such positive vibes from watching these videos.
Grandpa in the jeep scored some grandson hero points! Nothing better than hearing your grandson saying "come on grandpa you can do that"! Great jobs as allways!
@@jamesw.6931 Getting stuck is just part of off roading… Typically this exact scenario is avoided, but that is part of the excitement of offloading is you never know what’s coming next.🤷♂️
@@jamesw.6931 I do agree and I certainly have never totalled a vehicle myself off roading and hope I never do. What I’m saying is it is an inherently unpredictable environment when you’re off roading and it is easy to miss judge a situation. Myself I normally get out and find a long stick that I can put in water before driving through it so I know how deep it is and how soft the mud on the bottom is.
I so love you, your family and friends. Keep up the great work. 🙏🏻💜
After watching the wrecker build over the last year, it is absolutely amazing at what a beast it is and how well it works! Matt would have been stretching the Morrvair to the limits doing dynamic pulls with a rope repeatedly to get this one out..But the wrecker just sits there and yawns in boredom at this Jeep sucked deep in the mud ! A million kudos to Matt & his amazing team in building this wrecker machine! Hmmm...now the problem is ,will the videos get boring since theres little effort involved using the wrecker??!! haha! Great job, MORR team! :-)
This is the second time I've watched a grandparent with their grandchild be rescued on you're channel and I freaking love it!! Those memories will never be forgotten 😊.
Badass grandparents 👍
"My grandpa totaled a Jeep for me!!"
i love that the comparison used to be “wow! the morrvair killed this. this would’ve been much harder in the banana!” now it’s “wow! the wrecker killed this. this would’ve been much harder in the morrvair!”
8:06 AWESOME SHOT!
The Heavy Wrecker has totally paid off. That recovery looked so easy for it and quite sure the Banana and MORRvair would have taken a lot more to get it out.
Those aerial shots are so funny, the wrecker really does just leave everything behind 😂😂 You can see how well it handles whoops compared to everyone else
It doesn't leave anything behind, it tows them
Well it’s got 20” travel in the shocks and the spring rate in the sidewalls of the 44” tires.
That truck was “designed” to do certain things and mud removals is what it was designed for.
@@stevemiller3082 54" tires
Rhett’s like you think it’s cold out there I’m wearing a coat for a reason 😂😂 that was so good
Great video. Love those drone shots with the music. Many thanks from 🇨🇦
Nothing like ruining an $80,000 Jeep
Sad to see the jeep damaged from people trying to help. Sad cause even if they got it out of the water, it still wouldn't be going anywhere til Matt showed up anyways.
Spotted the demolitia shirt... way to go Rhett!
Given that its likely a right off I'm not seeing the issue.
Sad to see someone drive a perfectly good jeep to its death maybe?
I love seeing Rhett get so comfortable in front of the camera recently.
Thats kinda gay
now you might be saying, is it that warm out there? no... that was hilarious!
He's got them big boy muscles now!
I said that a couple of weeks ago I really enjoyed seeing the little youngster....
True, he used to be really shy but now he’s funny and really adds to the content 👍
That wrecker is an animal. Your talents are unspeakable. Thanks for the videos. You should get a Matt’s off road headliner for the wrecker
Grandpa called the right team for the job! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Can we just acknowledge how good Rhett has become on camera? This kid has a lot of potential on this channel and further! Best of luck
Red?
@@nikolaskipp769 Assuming he meant Rhett.
I really love the "World's Largest Off Road Wrecker", it is so cool. One thing that you need to add to it, are jump seats or a rumble seat in the back.
I love the episodes with Rhett now. He used to be so shy and quiet but he has really come out of his shell and is now one of my favorite people to watch on the channel. He's so funny and witty now.
Oh, and also loving how easy the wrecker seems to make some of these jobs look. Great work on that build!!!
Jammie says trim & haircut "happy wife happy life" good job Matt ya'll great people thank's for sharing God bless ❤😉👍
Back when I was a kid, on one of our annual Jeep Patrol sand dune trips, one of my dads good friends was double dared to drive thu a “shallow” pond. I can still remember them sitting on top of the Jeep out in the middle waiting for someone to come back off the dunes that had a long enough wench to pull them out. Sure wish we could have had a wrecker like Matt’s back then. It definitely makes a potentially hard recovery look easy. Great video and thanks for the fond memory! 😊❤
That is an impressive off-road Wrecker that you built Matt great job
When this channel first started I said on the comments that is was going to be a big channel such a beautiful place and great people doing the recoverys so nice to see it doing so well and getting better all the time nice one guys 🚜🚙
Literally each video is better quality and more entertaining than the last. You guys are doing so good and clearly only improving from experience. Best channel ever
I had high hopes that the wrecker would make videos more exciting. Turns out, the wrecker is so capable it makes recoveries boring! 😆
Might be time for a jump seat on the rear deck, on the tool box... or at least some comfy cushions........coats huh... why would Matt want a coat 😂
*Jump seats FTW*
That’s the deepest swamped Jeep I’ve ever seen. Good work Jamie getting them out. 👍❤️
Nice little blend of the V8 and guitar in the pull up the hill.
You need to install a couple of old Subaru jump seats with the handles to hold onto for on top of the tool boxes. Last time Tom was up there now its Lizzy. Would make for a lot better ride.
Somebody's got a cool grandpa. 100% worth it for those precious grandpa-grandson memories :)
Howdy chico!!! Hello from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 El Caribe!!! Amazing videos with amazing people 🙌🏻💖
I would love to see a video that does a comparison/competition between the Wrecker, Banana, and Morrvair. Like the one you guys did with the Banana and Morrvair when it was completed. That's still one of my favorite videos. I think a video like that every time you guys add a rig to the fleet would be just as incredible as the first one.
As always, I really appreciate how positive, uplifting, and building your videos are. Y'all make the world a better place just by being who you are and sharing that with the rest of us. Much love!
The wrecker is a masterpiece.
Exceeds expectations, and that is saying a lot.
And made from found objects, stock steel, mig weld wire and ingenuity. Oh, and a shed load of elbow grease.
Good on the customer for telling everyone to back off because MORR was there to do the job.
Another highly watchable video. Is there anything 'recovery' that powerful wrecker cannot do!? Those Yankum ropes together with a rig that has the stamina to give a steady pull look pretty good for most applications. You already knew getting that jeep full of water out of the 'muddy pond' clearly needed a winch with two power lines to walk it out. Wondering how exactly did one of the previous helpers break the back window?
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE WATCHING..... Thx for content guys
The Wrecker is coming in very handy. Well worth the work and time spent building the beast.
The first customer was awesome. Told everyone to get out of the way, and let the big dogs eat.great video .
Matt seems like the kind of boss that you could learn from without causing undue stress -blowing a lid over mistakes. I absolutely love the godly nature of this company.
Awesome. Definitely put some thought into building the wrecker. Recoveries from now on will be easy and safer. Glade the remote wasn't ruined. It happens, lots of people around and things to think of.
Looking good Matt...that wrecker is an awesome recovery tool...Great job by all...
Grandpa should be more careful crossing mud puddles, lol...costly mistake...saved my MOR !
Excellent recoverys guys.....great teamwork by all !!
The Bronco I originally ordered in 2020 is finally on the way. Hope to have it in a week or two. So excited.
Love your channel. I am so curious about the cost of each haul. I live in Colorado and dont get out to Utah as much as id like. Your channel lets me see the remote areas I love. Your entire crew is great on camera. Tom
Thank you for sharing
I would love to see the Morrvair and the Banana vs the world's largest Off-Road Wrecker.
Yes please!
Great video!! If this keeps up Jamie will be the "official" tow truck driver!! LOL!! Need to mount a saddle on the back for Lizzy to ride on! That poor grampa... listening to his grandson... "drive through some water Grandpa".. 🤣 Jefe is so proud of his "new" Bronco... Can't blame him.. that's one sweet ride!! Rhett is a real trooper for doing the "wet work"!! That had to be REALLY COLD!!! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!
I’m a bit anxious about the people riding on the toolbox while you bounce along on the rough terrain. Yep, the chances of an accident are really small, but the consequences could be terrible. Maybe some kind of seatbelt or harness could be rigged up.
Love your videos and the always positive attitudes!
maybe just propper seats would be it.
but the wrecker isn't bouncing to much anyways.
I am enjoying seeing Jamie out on recoveries. Doing a fantastic job driving the wrecker. Matt, your did a fantastic job carrying Janie through the mud. 😅
Damn, the heavy wrecker is a BEAST! It just pulls so effortlessly... 😎🤟
And THAT is why you call Matt. Let your buddies help and they break straps and damage your rig! 😂
Your camera operators are so good that I forget that they're there and I feel that I am.
Those are the kinda jobs that'll make Rhett, "The-Man" at this stuff in 10yrs or so, Matt needs to use that capable resource more often,😉👍, and he needs to do the finish work on the wrecker asap, it's proven itself more than worthy of being finished, and adequately-equipped even,🤨, you should've hooked the camper up to the Moorvair, and towed it to solid ground, the guy's truck was already unhooked from it, you took a chance of getting the truck and camper stuck, but luckily it wasn't that bad,👍, thanks for sharing guys.
I get alot of joy just witnessing the life you folks live.❤
That was awesome. Good job Rhett! Bet that water was cold!
Matt’s head shake when he heard what kind of belt they used when they TRIED to get the Jeep out, priceless.
That guy gets the grandpa of the year award for that one!! What a legend :)
i am so happy for you, that u got the wrecker now. it was such a easy job thanks to that beast
Matt and his team literally made me think of Looking for property or that way to buy so I can get into the rock climbing instead of mud bogging in this KY mud
Great video, great rescue, great crew.
Excellent weather report Tom.
great job you guys are always so happy it's a rare thing to see these days stay you.
Always a good thing to wake up and watch 😂
Editing is getting noticeably better each video. Quite professional!!
Best video for in a long time, it’s got it all:
- great shots
- great colours
- great family outing
- great team outing
- great grand dad doing the right thing
Oh, and yeah: a vehicle was recovered
Perhaps you can make a little flip down cushioned jump seat over your shifter controls so a 3rd passenger wouldn't have to "hover"? Based on the amazing job you've done constructing the wrecker (and all the other vehicles), shouldn't be too difficult.
You should bolt a jump seat on top of the cabinets on the back of the wrecker. You know your going to have passengers so they might as well be comfortable and safe with a harness to hold them in. Cheers.
The Morvair is just a great vehicle!!! Love the updated "body kit"!
Really fun watching Jefe driving his Bronco,,, a happy kid !! And Rhett is a good kid, great team.
