I used to be an oilfield truck driver. Moved over size loads. I know how much it takes to move "iron". I have watched the transformation of the big " wrecker". I know how the rigging works. Seen a pickup truck pull a loaded bull wagon out of a "mud hole-snow drift using a nylon rope. Its amazing how much energy can be acquired. Its gonna be a long time before you find something you can't move. Good job on the build. An Oklahoma oilfield trucker. CORNHUSKER

i used my yankum rope that i got from you guys to pull out our ram 5500 dump truck out of the clay in our new driveway extention that we are working on with our kubota tractor. we were in cape cod for 2 weeks and it rained and it wouldn't back on to the paved driveway because it was sunk below it. it was and easy pull thanks to my matts off road recovery yankum rope. and yes its a 4x4, cant do farming/homesteading property with a 2wd in vermont.

It’s crazy watching the wrecker hunker down and wrinkle those tires up ..I guess with damn near 2 foot of contact patch on each tire you’re not gonna spin much. The axles in this rig are where the magic happens!

Pulling out RV"s and heavy vehicles like that bucket truck is EXACTLY what Matt built the wrecker for. Like, when he conceptualized it, that was its stated purpose. The wrecker does the work of the Morrvair and the Banana put together.

The wrecker is so awesome it didn't even know the truck nor the heavy motorhome was even behind it, it just pretty much idled them out. You should be quite proud of your creation. To think that it all started with chalk lines on the floor and then miles of welding by the whole family and crew and look at it now. You don't need to call for more pulling power or anchors when using the wrecker like you had to sometimes before it was done. I still love the sound of the Moorvair especially when it's on a hard pull. I remember when all Matt had was a pretty much stock XJ and a rope along with his knowledge but still done some amazing recoveries that I didn't think were possible.

Regarding a vehicle that shouldn’t have been there, I was back-roading, on what was really a 4WD trail, on Cape Cod of all places! I was in my 4Runner, and somehow a detour for a road race (runners) put me on it. It seemed like an ordinary dirt road for a while, and then it turned rugged! It was all up and down, with big, (up to 2’) deep puddles in every dip, and the dips were numerous and steep! That would not have been unusual, except for the BREAD TRUCK we followed in! It was just an ordinary bread truck, 2WD and low to the ground. It went through some of those dips (I think it floated across some of them), and then I must have passed it. I don’t know what happened to it after that! I eventually, a few minutes later, emerged out the other side!

This job seems so fun! Any kind of offroading is fun for me, but getting money for it sounds so cool!

Matt consider putting a big amber or yellow rescue light on top of your wrecker. Love the videos.

You have the best job Matt! I would love to start an offroad recovery business here, but I don't think my area would have enough volume to support that business.

love suthern UT in the fall I went deer hunting around the La Sal junction, book cliffs, Mt. Peale and the 4 corners aera the vastness of the country makes me remember back in the day people took no chances because no cell phones to call Matt to rescue

The wrecker is impressive, but I'm more impressed by how perfectly Tom and Matt botched that high five. 🤣

Maybe I'm the only one, but I'd rather see the Banana pull that RV out. That was way too easy! 😂

Awesome. It’s the size of those tires and all the heavy duty gears to back them up that makes that truck a beast.

The amount of people on the RV recovery, and no one thought to move the safety marker is bewildering. How bad did it hang up under that low coach?

Why is a soft shackle used to connect rope to wrecker when rope loop would connect? There would be soft shackle from rope to bridle, then shackle both ends bridle to RV for weak points. Took time to undo shackle to rv and loop that rope instead? Trying to understand, sure reason, wanting to learn
