I would cobra swap it
LS. Flatheads are ok if you are happy with low horsepower. Not bagging on flatheads. Just I like HP
Well said, flatheads are really neat. But get an LS and cruise down the interstate like a brand new car.
Thought it was against the law to put a LS in a Ford?
Some would say it is. It's all a matter of opinion.
LS swap the world!
Nice job!
Great job! I just stumbled across your channel while binge-watching ECJ5 videos because I recently bought a '62. Still have no idea what I got myself into, but I'm excited to get my project moving.
Awesome! Thanks for watching. The early cjs are super fun and great projects. I didn't know anything about them when I got mine, but they will teach you. Good luck with your project. Feel free to ask any questions that may arise, I'm happy to help.
Nice job!
Taco flossy will live on and on.
Nothing can stop it now!😆
Awesome!!
Thank you 👍
Wow nice trailer
Thanks👍
Should leave some holes in it! Let's the water drain after a river crossing!😂
It does have drain holes in the floor. Not nearly as many, but they are nice clean cut, factory style.
Awesome event! I need to get back up there soon. Thanks for posting!
@ClassicChrome86 I appreciate you watching and commenting. Hopefully you can come, every trip to Carlisle is different. You never know what you'll find.
My dad bought a 67 fairlane when he got back from Veitnam had the 390 in it but he lost it in the Ohio flood of 69
That's too bad about the flood damage, That would have been an awesome car!
Subscribed bwaa✅🔥
Good stuff brother u motivate to do mine its not a jeep but I got a small rust spot . GOD bless.
Thanks! Keep at it and you'll get it done.
And nooowwww the starting lineup for YOUR Chicago Bulls🎉
Haha!! I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice.
Now get use to poon bang pow because they hit everything possible
Yep, haha! I'm already driving through the woods thinking that branch is 10 feet above me it'll clear. Then i hear the antenna hit it, Lol! I can tie it down for low clearance.
Does it actually drive tho, if it does then it's not a real jeep
@chrishazleton2440 Oh yeah, it drives! Just drove it around town tonight. It always starts immediately. You just bumb the key it it runs. Shifts smoother than most modern cars, never even thinks of overheating. And gets 20 miles per gallon. For an almost 70 year old, never been rebuilt drivetrain, you couldn't ask for it to be better. Plus, it will crawl over just about anything!
Bro buy a fucking fiberglass tub. Cut all the holes to acess probem mechanical areas and never worry about rust again.
@TrapperAaron Buying a tub probably would have been the better choice. But I really want to keep steel. (That's just my preference, I won't daily this. If I get a newer CJ, then I'll get fiberglass to last forever) And I don't have the money to buy a replacement steel tub. The good thing is I've already patched all the floors and made it good. There's just a couple of little holes left, and it will be perfect.
Should have primed it at least unless that was just for fitting
@jacobellis5999 I'll do something eventually, but for now, I'm undecided whether I should paint the whole thing or not. So for now, I'll just let it surface rust and blend in with the rest of the patina.
Very Creative!! 73's...Good Buddy!!
@johnbannister501 Thank you, sir!
Nice!
Nice work
Thanks👍
have you looked into zinc sacrificial anodes
I honestly haven't heard of that, I would appreciate an explanation. I'm always wanting to learn something new.
@@JacobNovoselStudios theyre used on boats u take a wire wheel like youre trying to put a ground on on the metal then use a toggle bolt or something to keep the zinc on there the metal wont corrode until the anode is eaten away in an area
@@112food okay, thanks. Very cool!
Would be better to have the whip mounted on the back not the side because you're going to run through brush going down the side
That's a good point. I put it on the side. That way, when I put a hardtop on, it won't hit the top. With it on the back and the top on, I couldn't bend it down for low clearance. Thanks for the suggestion.
What color did you paint it?
I actually left it bare for now. I haven't decided if I'm keeping a patina look or painting the whole jeep. Previous owners have sprayed things with flat black, which I don't want to continue doing. So, for the time being, I'll just let it weather into the rest until I decide what I want.
fuck yeah actually replacing metal with metal as the us military industrial complex intended
So far, there has been no filler, fiberglass, etc. on this jeep. Only steel, and I'm keeping it that way.
I believe in you... Treasure 🪙... Thank you for showing me I CAN do it.. The Dodge has the same thing needed except mount an antenna
My pleasure, once you get the hang of it, welding is easy.
Hell yeah
They do make crush corners
Painter white daseiy😂😂😂😂
Try as they may, our cars don't let us down. It's our lack of repair skills that strands us along the roadside.
Right on! With a little work here and there, it will probably out live me! P.S. anything happen with that willys you were looking at? Don't mean to be nosy. I just can't stop thinking of old Jeeps.
@@JacobNovoselStudios No, it's cool man. After looking closer, there were two many unknowns so I passed. Still looking...
@@BobbyOfEarth You'll find one soon enough. The right thing is always out there!
Are all of them ford cars please let me know
They were actually all made by the Franklin car company. They went out of business in 1934. Very rare and unique, something cool to see.
Nice work in identifying a solution! What is the floor starter that you mentioned?
Thanks, these old Jeeps had push button start on the floor that you hit with your foot. Eliminating the need for a starter solenoid and making the key simpler. It's just hooked directly to the battery, so there's no fail points. I have since wired it to start with a key also, but in this case, the key wouldn't work.
@@JacobNovoselStudios oh ok, very cool!
Who cares sounds like u should junk it
Why? For a 2 cent piece of wire and a minute of time. Now it's good to go👍
Leave that rust bucket alone and let it rust in peace
Mine is reliable. I haven't had to carry any tools
That right there guys is how you pick up every gay redneck in town
So what you're showing us is it's redneck Barn garbage
Did anyone notice the retarded Harbor Freight air horns under the hood?
Not Harbor freight, Autozone.
I can't think of anything more gay than a Jeep with underglow. Are you going to park that at the mall so the teenagers can laugh at you?
Why should you care? Leave the kid alone, if you don't think it's cool, then don't watch the videos. BTW, every time you comment it helps the algorithm!
@@TheF100Dude gotta agree with @JohnWick-li2wz here , Im gay and that Jeep is too gay for me
@The_Foxxo @JohnWick-li2wz The cool thing is that the lights are functional and have a usable purpose. If you've ever been offroading at night or working on the property (I doubt it or else you would understand) having white lights shining on the tires is super handy. Gives you the ability to see where your tires are and what obstacles you are about to go over. Also gives a nice working light for changing tires, repairing hubs, checking pressure, etc. They are really a useful thing when using a 4x4 to its full potential. Hence why most offroaders have rock lights. Being able to change colors is just a bonus feature.
@@JacobNovoselStudios Won't deny the practicality of them, the RGB part is what I believe is hella gay tbh especially on a Jeep
I have been off-roading 40 years. We didn't need those lights parade I think that you need those lights because you don't have skills
None of the military's Jeeps said Willy's because the government didn't want the enemy to laugh at them. A Jeep and any form is Just Junk anyway
It doesn’t say Willys Overland on it anywhere, it’s not a Willys Jeep, it’s just a Jeep.
@jonallen1985 Actually, it does say willys, on the tailgate, and Vin plate. Oh, and the title as well, because that's all any willys ever had for identification. The only thing to say willys anywhere else is the modern 4 door hybrid things they make now. This jeep is from 1956 when willys was owned by kaiser motors, but they still marketed everything as a willys. They didn't officially get rid of the name until the mid 60s. It's just as much a willys as anything else. Fun fact, the original jeeps produced for WW2 didn't say willys anywhere because the government didn't allow it.
Is that SpongeBob I hear?! 😂
The one and only!
Very cool! 👍
And a sexy looking exhaust pipe!!!
Thats a jeep a real jeep !
I appreciate that, it sure is!!
@@JacobNovoselStudios I grew up with a friend who had a 3 cylinder Willy's it would go anywhere in Alaska just about. It inspired me to get a Ford f-150 with the inline six300 with a 2 barrel holly and tall skinny tires put it in creeper gear and it was unstoppable . I still own a similar Ford f-150 it's a 1989 300 six FI it's not a four wheel drive but in first gear and years of experience off-roading it will go more places than I should take it easily it's torque is what drives the 300 six way more powerful than many can imagine
A 3 cylinder willys that would be a diesel if im not mistaken? If so, those are really hard to find. You can't beat the old 300, tons of torque, and they last forever. I really want to find an old Ford pickup with a 300, just simple yet effective machines.
@@JacobNovoselStudios simple rules they should have never changed the inline six lineup by Ford. 1960 Ford falcon ranchero 144 CI 42 mpg 2 speed sludge-o-matic best combination ever
@willsimpson7059 Exactly, yet 60 years later with all our technological advancements. A car with fuel injection, 9 gears, the ability to have nearly perfect aerodynamics, super light materials, and most still get maybe 20 mpg. My ancient Jeep with a horribly designed engine (to modern standards) no overdrive, 5.38-1 axle gears. And the worst aerodynamics ever. Pulling almost 3,000 rpm to go 50 mph still gets 20 mpg.
Tokyo drift willys!
Nice
Thanks, man👍
That’s sweet
It sure is👍 It's not what I was expecting to see at a state park.
@@JacobNovoselStudios yeah
