    Wow.... It just makes me wonder how many of the short beds out there are factory. Short beds are much more desirable and bring lots more money. Great way to make a cooler truck . It the total package. short bed, lowered , and LS conversion. Hats off...

    A scissor lift would be a great addition to your shop. Gingerly and coil springs dont generally get along too well at times.

    Looking good. You need to buy some dropped spindles. The rear, install some lowering blocks or longer shackles.

    Great job as usual. For those of us who are novices would you consider a video being very detailed when you start the fuel system and trans hook up. So many out there do sort of a before and after. Thanks again for sharing.

    Those lower tail gate brackets rot out all the time. They are available at any autoparts store for cheap. I think Dorman makes them. No point looking for used stuff really. Looking awesome. You rock. Happy trails.

    Nice -maybe throw a couple roofing clips on the edges of the plywood where the seam is to keep it together. 20 below here in Minny.Keep on Truckin

    A nicer way to lower coils is take the gas axe to the bottom of the coil and heat a section at a times and as it heats it will collapse in place in a really controlled way until you get your ride height

    I did my '46 Chevrolet bed with 1x12 TREX board and 3/16 x 1-1/ 2" aluminum strips. Cost about $150. Looks great and will last almost forever. I don't know about that plywood, pretty short term. I'm watching this project with utmost interest. Getting the itch, as I'm really disappointed with the new Colorado I bought. Should have done a project like this instead, 1/3 of the money, daily driver.

    Great job I love it.. I personally would have made the plywood cuts to make it go in the center instead of the off set and that way you could have used the one that was all cut out as a template for the other side.. But it's still ass kicking.. I would burn it then clear coat it.. And I love the way you actually explained the drop in the front coils.. The stance is dead on I think and looks sweet.. Another great job.. And as always.. Keep the wrenches a turnin and the tires on burnin.. Can't wait for the next video..

Will be installing a Real 1970 454 LS7, ¨bought it from Humber view Chev Toronto in 94 NOS crated and will have it blueprinted.In a 66 pontiac beaumont original SD 396 360 hp car, no rot 4speed 373 car.Will send you pics.     You probably already thought of this but if you have 2 bed strips left you can put on on the joint of the plywood and one to match on the other side to make it look the same even though there is no joint to cover up

    it is looking good. you might want to check your shock length. now the you lowered it four inches the shocks might be bottoming out.

    Heck yeah! Looking really good. Love the rake. You're gonna make me have to start working on my 70 shortbed Chevy. I've gotta convert it to disc brakes when I do the lowering. I was thinking of doing the 2" drop spindles. Anywho, great job brother!
