SRS and ESP faults are two very common issues on any Mercedes-Benz from 1990's to 2020... learn from my mistake and enjoy your Mercedes-Benz.

One more tip - when tightening down the clock spring via its 3 screws, make sure those screws are fully seated and tight. I left few turns on 2 of them and my clockspring was crushed by steering wheel and started making horrible noise after 2 days. Removed wheel again and tightened properly but it still makes noise as there are half-separated plastic splinters inside it.

Thanks mate! I made the same mistake on an older E300 years ago when I didn't have a scanner.
Took a very long time and lots of hair pulling before it clicked for me🤕
    Cheers

The new clock spring should come fixed in a package so there should be no adjustment necessary.
