I just wanted to say I've always appreciated your end of segment rotation guide and alternative buying guide. It really is underated and I wish more shoe reviewers did this. Thanks Kofuzi! 😀
Indeed very useful. It's what makes me prefer your reviews in search results vs others, because it really helps to understand the intended use of the shoes.
100% - The problem with shoe reviews is you can only talk about "bouncy foam good!" a certain amount of ways/times. So by comparing against other shoes and providing buying guides gives people a reference to something they might already have experience with or at least have a point of comparison.
I agree! Nowadays it can be hard with all the different models brands have to understand where exactly a shoe would fit in hypothetical rotations or to which knwon model it compares. I always watch the end segment even the few times I don't care about the particular shoe reviewed
I just got the Glycerin Max to replace my Superblast Gen 1 which just rolled over 800km. Initial reaction is that the Glycerin Max is supremely comfortable, especially the upper. It is however very heavy. My US 10.5 weighs 330g (11.6 oz), thats 80g heavier than my Superblast gen 1. Also, I am a mid-foot striker and take shorter strides. So, the shoes felt quite firm and I wasn't getting any return for the extra weight. I experimented with changing the running style, and it became clear that the shoes really come alive when you are heel striking and then rolling from heal to toe and taking longer strides. When striking the heel, or when walking in them, the Glycerin Max is quite a bit softer than the Superblast, but when mid-foot striking they feel about the same barring the weight difference. So, for my style of running, the Superbast was a far better shoe, and I will return this and get the new Superblast 2, as they have improved the upper in the v2.
Great review. Glycerine Max looks like the start of something special at Brooks. I would, however, love to try the SuperBlast, but Asics doesn't make it in a size 14. So, the Glycerine Max and Puma MagMax are the choices for now (until we see what Nike does with the Invincible or Vomero Plus).
I've been running in the Puma Forever Run and it feels somewhat like how you described the Glycerin Max. The FVR's heel feels soft on landing and the forefoot stiffens up at toe-off. I love it.
Kofuzi, I believe the Hyperion Max is no longer being produced though there are probably greatly discounted pairs available. The Hyperion 2 is its heir apparent and I love it. I’m also enjoying the Hyperion Max 2 which is a speedier, lighter and less plush shoe which I find great for long runs with goal marathon pace miles. The roll geometry works well for my mechanics and the foam-while on the firmer side at first- softened up quickly and somehow was very kind and protective to my feet even on my first run.
Brooks has been slowly coming around. I tried a run in the ghost 16 hoping that would work for me but could not bring myself to actually buy it. I tried the ghost max out for a run, was a bit nicer but still not convinced. Same thing happened with the glycerin 21. This shoe seems like it could be the one. Something exciting coming from brooks that does not feel like an all out “experiment shoe” from the Blueline lab and more of a staple shoe in their lineup
Had to return mine due to some pretty bad rubbing on the medial side of the shoe. Seems like an issue a lot of people are having from what I've seen on Reddit and other RUclips reviews. Picked up the Puma MagMax at 40% off around the same time as I ordered the Glycerin Max and it has been really fun to run in so far.
Ok so, I 100% agree... this is the brooks max cushion shoe we've been looking for. The ghost was always a bit firm for me, but these are good. I keep these to recovery or shorter runs. Haven't gotten a true long run in them though. That's TBD
The Hyperion max 2 is my brooks shoe of the year. It's soft enough for long runs in marathon training, but with the plate allows you to pick up the pace. I actually thought of running in the Hyperion max 2 for Chicago this year I love it so much.
Wow , it was sure great to hear someone else's opinions on brooks always feeling firm , i hated the ghost,i didnt even like the glycerin? So ive been using mostly hokas and mostly clifton and novablast 3, so i am excited to finally have a brooks that might actually be soft for me at 63 yrs old i want to continue running not for speed , so lets hope this works
I appreciate the comparison with the MagMax. Others have suggested the Puma might have a little more versatility but both (& the Superblast) should all have excellent durability. Unfortunately, the geometry of Superblast 1 really didn't work for me.
I tried Brooks back when I first started running in 2016 and they didn’t work for me. This is literally the first one I’ve seen since then that I am eager to try. Going to swing by my local running shop today and try them on.
@limsimon221 y3s that's what I mean. I usually wear 2e and 4e but the Gmax is pretty accommodating. I still have to skip all the middle eyelets and use a heel lock loop but it does not hurt the sides of my feet.
So I used to run track in college, and was doing about 25 miles a week til I got hurt. Maybe 10 years ago I started again, made it a week before plantar faciatis halted me. Which I figured would be the rest of my life. I decided to try it again now that shoe technology is so advanced. Have run on the Glycerin Max for a week with no issues at all. It's not that plush, compared to the NB 1080 and Hoka Bondi I tried... but like I said I am glad I chose these. Biggest problem has been with slowing myself down since the rebound and front of the shoe really move you forward (but I'm an Asics Kayano guy from 2012 so what do I know anymore)
Usually I wear HOKA Clifton shoes because I have planters fasciitis and that is the shoe I wish I wore in high school. And also the shoe I will only wear in running 🏃♂️marathons. But after seeing this shoe, this very much caught my attention.
The Hyperion max 2 should be the speed pairing with the Glycerine Max, hope you are able to try it out suprised brooks isn't sending their latest shoes out to you first to test
I have the Hyp Max 2 as well as the Hyp 2 and love both. The Hyp Max 2 is working well for me as a LR shoe, especially with some marathon pace miles. I alternate it with the Mach 6. The Hyp 2 is just a great all around trainer but is a good speed pairing with the Max 2.
I really try not to take it personally when that happens. Sometimes, I take it as a signal that the brand isn’t confident about the shoe. Most of the time, they probably just forget or think that someone else has already sent it. Your be surprised at how little emailing happens to coordinate these things. Most of the time, shoes just show up, whether I ask for them or not.
yooo its here! coming home to this after an interval session is nice edit: got hooked to this shoe by its fantastic logo indeed, the craft is amazing. it does look so durable and sturdy for a looooong run
Another great review, your reviews have always been spot on for my preferences and with that I take Glycerin Max foam to be cushy. But, the front rocker/ toe spring seems a bit too aggressive for an easy day shoe, thoughts? Feels like to me all Max shoe rockers are made mid foot to heel strikers.
It squishes enough that the rocker doesn’t seem to prominent to me. Compared to Mag Max, it’s a later start to the curvature so I would consider it less aggressive than that shoe
I use the Superblast 2 as my daily trainer, but on longer, slightly slower runs I sometimes want a little more support for my legs. Do you think the GLycerin Max would be a good compliment?
@@kofuzi Thanks. Don’t get me wrong, the SB2s are amazing. It’s just that I occasionally want something a bit more cushioned and easy on the legs for my longer, slower runs. The Superblast does fine for that, but they always seem to want to go faster.
great review as always - you are making me want to try a Brooks shoe - its been a long time since that happened but everything I have heard points to this being a good shoe so maybe.
I ran the new York marathon in the Hyperion max last year and my feet were super happy. I'm racing the Detroit free press marathon this Sunday in the new Hyperion max 2
Great review as always! Ko - Understand that you said its true to size with other Brooks shoes, but it isnt the most useful to people that dont own a pair of brooks. Not sure if the crowd agrees, but perhaps a section during reviews on sizing vs other brands (whether we should size up/ size down in the same genre of shoes i.e. vs. SC Trainer, Superblast etc.) would be nice as a buy reference - Totally aware its subjective but would be so useful to know :)
Good point, but even from year to year the same models can change within brands as well as between brands. It’s just a rough guideline of what works for him. You should always try on shoes if at all possible before purchase. Even if you plan to order online, try to go to a local store.
I’ve used them on a longer run and a workout. I definitely feel the weight. I don’t hate them, and at first the rocker felt aggressive, but I got used to it. I think I’ll keep them as I look for another speed/workout shoe.
Great review, I will appreciate your take, For a sub 4hr up to 3h30 marathon race, which of the shoes mentioned do you recommend? For this race pace should I go with a race shoes instead?
I PR'd in Boston as a 73 y.o. F top 10 age grouper in the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 (4:17) and feel that race shoes really helped-albeit neither very high stack super squishy type, nor extremely aggressive race shoes. The former would have slowed me down, the latter might not have been as kind to my body. You might consider the Endorphin Pro version I used if any are left on sale, but v4 is very good as well.
I have the Glycerin 20 GTS . I disagree with your assessmemnt of it being firm rather than cushy. When I first bought the shoe I did find it a bit firm . But after about 30 miles it broke in nicely, having a nice cushy feel on the downside and a springy feel on the recvoery side. I love that shoe and it still feels the same after a year of use. I did wonder if you compared the Gycein M ax to the New Balance More X v4. It is the pkushest shoe that I have run on except for one of my trail shoes. I think it would compare to the max even though it doesn't have the stack height. Also, I'm an overpronater on my left foot but found that because the More X v4 has a wide paltform it was so stable that it compensated for my overponation. Did the glycerin max provide that sort of stability? Lastly, I want ot praise Brooks for their innovation becuase they are typically viewed by reviewers as being boring and conservative. I have the Aurora BL and it is a fantastic shoe. It is so comfortable that I picked up a second pair for a substantial discount becuase Brooks is discontinuing it. Keep up the reviews.
I tried it on at release, it was super soft and bouncy and the fit was great. I really like it and you can't really tell how much shoe you have. The price is pretty high but woah it's like nothing else. How do you think the cushion/fit/transitions are compared to the superblast ? I want to try the superblasts but can't get my hands on them lol
It would depend on what the speed training entails. If it’s threshold or faster, Endorphin Speed 4. If it’s more like long runs with some marathon pace miles, Superblast 2
I tried these on in store and would’ve bought them if 1. They had my size in stock (flying off the shelves) and 2. The price. I think in 6 months when the price comes down they will be in my cart. I would happily pay $160-$175usd for these
So I felt like Glideride Max could have been the best max cushion shoe of the year. It then I tried Mag Max And then I tried Glycerin Max They’re all excellent examples of the genre. But the Glycerin Max is the squishiest for me
@kofuzi Thanks Mike. I have heard a few people say that while the Glycerin is nice and soft it feels very bulky on foot, whereas the Glideride not so much? I'm looking for a possible option for a 100 mile Ultra i have next year. It's on the trails, but the course is made up of hard compact dirt paths, so trail shoes are not normally needed. I really need to try them both on but it's almost impossible to find that Glideride in a shop here in the UK 😖
Not able to get the Brooks Glycerin Max or Puma Magmax in south east Asia at the moment. Do you think new balance v5 is a good alternative? Or you have other shoes in mind for recommendation?
I need to follow up with NB to see if they’ll send a pair for review. I haven’t tested that one yet. But in theory, they serve the same purpose. Whether they actually feel the same is something I can’t answer at this time.
@@kofuzi I got the more v4, it’ll be good to get a review from you on the more v5. Or maybe I should wait for adidas evo sl, the most hype shoes everyone is waiting for. But again, adidas evo sl will be only available on March 2025 in south east asia. Not sure why all the shoes manufacturers is treating south east asian as a step child, considering most of the shoes are made in Indonesia and Vietnam. Logically and logistically, south east asian should be the first one to get new shoes launching, but instead we are treated as a sweat shop for cheap labour so the they can make the most profits for the benefits of the western countries. We just wanna be treated equally, is that so hard?
I'm coming from an injury and I've been running slow, short and easy recovery miles in the Superblast 2. I don't think they are overkill for that purpose.
I think the point I’m trying to make is that the superblast is good for a max cushion shoe, but $200 feels like a lot to pay for a max cushion shoe. But counter point: Glycerin Max
Kofuzi, I believe you used to be a fan of the New Balance RC Elite v2. Its one of my all time favorites.. How would you compare the softness underfoot with these?
If I only can pick one of these shoes, Glycerin Max or SB 2, what would do you suggest? I have the Endorphin Speed 4 for my tempo runs but been looking for a good long/easy run shoe to add in my rotation.
. I have sb2 (don’t have glycerin max ) I used prior endorphin speed models and suspect too much overlap to bother having both superblast and new endorphin speeds. From sounds of kofuzi review the glycerin max is more specific to recovery and long slow distances.
Thanks. On stats alone, the new Hyperion Max 2 is very different than the first Hyperion Max. And the Hyperion 2 is most similar to the first version of the Hyperion Max you show.
I have both shoes you mention and they are quite different from one another, but also from any predecessors. I’ve had all the predecessors of--including the former Hyperion Tempo of which the Hyperion 2 is the apparent successor. But I highly recommend checking them out in person rather than based on stats. The midsoles are very different. I’m a big fan.
@@Martha-fluterunner Cool. I only have the Hyperion (regular) and Hyperion Max (1) and like both. Am thinking about the Max 2, but not running quite enough to need more shoes than I have.
I think it depends on how you use the Invincible. I like that shoe for speedier long runs. If that’s how you use it, go with the Balos. Some people use the invincible for slow easy runs. If that’s how you use it, then go with Glycerin Max
I really was expecting/hoping that they would have sent it to me when they initially sent samples to reviewers but I guess I did not make the first round cut
For some reason, in Australia, brooks priced it at $350 aud .... to compare 2 shoes you picked to stack it against - mag max is $280 and SB2 is $320 Glycerine Max is unusually not so ugly shoe as for brooks, and certainly interesting take on slow recovery max cush - but hey at 350 my guess is won't be seeing it on many runs lol
Hi Ko! Sounds that overall it's a little like the Triumph 22. Do you think there is a justification to use a peba foam in max shoes or that Brooks' and Puma's choice is better? And - we see that Puma stoped using peba in racing shoes, whats the logic? So, basicly I'm asking about foams... whic is bettet when especialy on max
I think the way you are looking at it may be unnecessarily narrow. Peba is great. Do I love the way it’s used in the Triumph 22? Not really. And thats not because of the foam. It’s because of the geometry and volume of foam used. (Although, it could be partially due to the foam. Not all Peba is created equal) Puma isn’t using peba (at least not in the flagship race product currently), but that doesn’t make it inferior. I’d take the Deviate Nitro Elite 3 over the NB SC Elite 4. And that’s not just because of the presence or absence of Peba. There’s also the carbon fiber plate thickness and position within the foam that does a lot. And this can work the other way around too. People love to say dramatic things like “EVA is ded”. But the Mach 6 is one of my favorite daily trainers. And it’s supercritical EVA, if I’m not mistaken.
Softer than Nimbus 26 or should I hold out for Nimbus 27? Looking for a easy day shoe and haven't found anything I like since Nike Invincible V1. Thanks.
I'd say that the Glycerin Max is softer than Nimbus 26. But, if you think Invincible 1 is soft (I thought it was a bit firm and very bouncy), then you might be the type of runner that prefers Nimbus 26 or Nimbus 27. I'd recommend trying Glycerin Max on in store. Another way to look at it is, if you think the regular Glycerin is a soft shoe, then go with Nimbus 26 or 27 for your next soft shoe. The Glycerin Max may not be for you. But, if the regular Glycerin feels a bit firm, then you will likely find the Glycerin Max to be very soft and enjoyable
hey kofuzi my friend owns a shoe store, he is offering me 50% off Glycerin Max and 25% off NB 1080 v14. what do you suggest i should pick out of the 2? the Glycerin Max is cheaper of the 2 with the discounts. I enjoyed the 1080 v13 though still cant decide which of the 2 to pick.
it really depends on what style of max cushion shoe you are looking for. if you are looking for a traditional max cushion experience, then More v5. if you are looking for something more modern/squishy, then Glycerin Max Another way to look at it is that the More v5 is closer to the Glycerin than it is to the Glycerin Max, if that helps
Would like to try, but the weight is too much for a trainer shoe. Would have been better if the upper mesh was redesigned using a lighter material, and the LOGO, It makes no sense to use heavy rubber like material just to display logo compromising the whole concept of the shoe. My thoughts 😊
weight becomes a secondary consideration for a shoe in this class, but everyone has their preferences. what max cushion shoes have you been enjoying instead?
@@kofuzi My Novablast 3 has done beyond its lifespan 1300km + have retired since. Have been looking for a good trainer but not able to get hold of one, most of the shoes you review are not available where I live (India). Wish I could, like the Hoka, Saucony, OC are far from reach, even Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris, Edge is not to be sold in India. Its sad reality for me who loves running. Some how managed to get a pair of Nike VaporFly 3 as my race day shoes, and it's doing some pretty good miles on it ☺️ By the way Congratulations on your 6 Majors, was so proud to see you wear it 😎 Hopefully I get to make it someday.
Just wanted to know your opinions. I am currently training for a marathon and I wanted a pair of shoes for my longer runs (around 15 miles and above). My problem is my feet supinate and the rubber on the outside of the shoe tends to get destroyed easily. Also, the outer side of my foot tend to get very painful on shoes with harder midsoles. In a performance and durability aspect, will the Glycerin Max be better for me or novablast 4? Thank you!
Glideride Max! It has "Guidesole" tech to help keep your feet moving in a straight line. Also has a "Max stack" so will be fantastic for marathon training for those longer efforts. It is not a race shoe so wouldn't recommend for speed work etc... Hope that helps
Brother help me, im torn between endorphon pro 4 vs cielo x1? Which one should i get? I run in very hilly area and will do my first marathon next month. Im not a fast runner
I wonder if a forefoot striker really is representative for most of us when testing a shoe. I don't know if midfoot or heel strikers can rely on his reviews
I have been using the BGM as a daily trainer for close to 2 weeks now, and unfortunately I do not get along with this shoe at all. I feel like I am actually fighting the shoe. Absolutely no energy return, if anything it just absorbs effort. This is borne out by my times on my standard route, which is typically 6% longer than in my previous daily trainers at the same average HR. I also do not find them very soft at all (midfoot striker). I feel the upper is just enormously overbuilt, some very lightweight uppers (like Alphafly) are more comfortable to me. And here in AU the price of the BGM is almost the same as an Alphafly!
Yes, a great shoe from Brooks, but man, that price tag. Thankfully, I'm a therapist, so I can get everything Brooks makes for the Sports Medicine Ambassador (SMA) price - 40% off. So, for $200? No thanks. But for $120? Absolutely. Love mine so far.
I don't normally track width availability of shoes. A google search indicates that it currently is only available in D for men and B for women. I don't have information on whether additional widths may become available later
I’ve not tried the Ultrafly. I feel like I talked about the invincible 3 in like every video from the first half of this year. Check out my superblast 1 or 2 videos, for starters
Hurricane is a stability shoe. If you need a stability shoe, get that (or another stability shoe). If you want a big squishy shoe that may be a bit of the opposite of a stability shoe, consider the Glycerin Max
I’ve a workout in the shoe and one marathon, which is a pretty good test set of miles. But since it’s been a couple weeks since I last tested them, I might do another fartlek this week to refresh my thoughts

I use the Superblast 2 as my daily trainer, but on longer, slightly slower runs I sometimes want a little more support for my legs. Do you think the GLycerin Max would be a good compliment?
If what you want is support relative to a superblast, then probably not
@@kofuzi Thanks.
Looking forward to trying these next. Still burning through some 1080v13s.
True to size is the best shorthand I can provide
I’ve used them on a longer run and a workout. I definitely feel the weight. I don’t hate them, and at first the rocker felt aggressive, but I got used to it. I think I’ll keep them as I look for another speed/workout shoe.
Great review,
I will appreciate your take,
For a sub 4hr up to 3h30 marathon race, which of the shoes mentioned do you recommend? For this race pace should I go with a race shoes instead?
I PR'd in Boston as a 73 y.o. F top 10 age grouper in the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 (4:17) and feel that race shoes really helped-albeit neither very high stack super squishy type, nor extremely aggressive race shoes. The former would have slowed me down, the latter might not have been as kind to my body. You might consider the Endorphin Pro version I used if any are left on sale, but v4 is very good as well.
Wish we had Brooks in Brazil.
The forefoot bounce is elite but I didn’t love the upper. It’s a big step in the right direction for Brooks in terms of softness.
I'm really curious what your take on the hyperion max 2 would be. I really loved mine, it's my personal "shoe I always wished brooks would make"
Stay tuned
I’m a fan of mine. I use them for long runs, especially those with marathon pace miles.
This shoe is next level. Shoe of the year for heavier less capable runners imo.
Very well could be
Great shoes nice design simple yet cool.Keep safe and run safe always Sir Kofuzi.God bless you and your family!❤❤❤
Thank you 🙏
I tried it on at release, it was super soft and bouncy and the fit was great. I really like it and you can't really tell how much shoe you have. The price is pretty high but woah it's like nothing else. How do you think the cushion/fit/transitions are compared to the superblast ? I want to try the superblasts but can't get my hands on them lol
I don’t think they’re all that similar
Awesome review. I’m recovering from a heel injury and have been really interested in this shoe. Hopefully they offer different colors.
Which one do you think is better for speed training, Endorphin Speed 4 or Superblast 2?
Speed 4 for sure, I daily and use the superblast 2 for everything other than my speed training sessions
It would depend on what the speed training entails. If it’s threshold or faster, Endorphin Speed 4. If it’s more like long runs with some marathon pace miles, Superblast 2
In my opinion Asics Glideride Max instead of Superblast 2. What's your thoughts?
A closer comparison
I tried these on in store and would’ve bought them if 1. They had my size in stock (flying off the shelves) and 2. The price. I think in 6 months when the price comes down they will be in my cart. I would happily pay $160-$175usd for these
9:56 Supposedly Brooks is testing a new foam called DNA Gold, a peba based foam
How do you think it compares to the Glideride Max?
So I felt like Glideride Max could have been the best max cushion shoe of the year. It then I tried Mag Max
And then I tried Glycerin Max
They’re all excellent examples of the genre.
We just wanna be treated equally, is that so hard?
prettiest shoe of 2024
Who would have thought brooks delivered
I'm coming from an injury and I've been running slow, short and easy recovery miles in the Superblast 2. I don't think they are overkill for that purpose.
I think the point I’m trying to make is that the superblast is good for a max cushion shoe, but $200 feels like a lot to pay for a max cushion shoe. But counter point: Glycerin Max
Kofuzi, I believe you used to be a fan of the New Balance RC Elite v2. Its one of my all time favorites.. How would you compare the softness underfoot with these?
How does this compate to NB More 5? I would just use them for walking no running.
How abour the balos compare to glycerin max
The Balos is closer to a Superblast than a Glycerin Max. The NB shoe that is closest would be the More
If I only can pick one of these shoes, Glycerin Max or SB 2, what would do you suggest? I have the Endorphin Speed 4 for my tempo runs but been looking for a good long/easy run shoe to add in my rotation.
. I have sb2 (don’t have glycerin max ) I used prior endorphin speed models and suspect too much overlap to bother having both superblast and new endorphin speeds. From sounds of kofuzi review the glycerin max is more specific to recovery and long slow distances.
@@pbnotj1 Appreciate it the feedback!
This shoe looks like the best looking shoe that ever lived to me Very tough not to stare at
This or the Balos to replace my sadly disintegrated Invincible 1s? The Invincible 3 has a terrible fit in the heel for me, so that’s out.
I think it depends on how you use the Invincible. I like that shoe for speedier long runs. If that’s how you use it, go with the Balos.
Some people use the invincible for slow easy runs. If that’s how you use it, then go with Glycerin Max
Very interesting video, nice shoe and nice lineup. Never used a Brooks shoe but want to try on day
The Hyperion max 2 is something u have to try
I really was expecting/hoping that they would have sent it to me when they initially sent samples to reviewers but I guess I did not make the first round cut
For some reason, in Australia, brooks priced it at $350 aud .... to compare 2 shoes you picked to stack it against - mag max is $280 and SB2 is $320
Glycerine Max is unusually not so ugly shoe as for brooks, and certainly interesting take on slow recovery max cush - but hey at 350 my guess is won't be seeing it on many runs lol
Pricing, and especially Australian pricing, is always a bit of a mystery to me
Is this a true to size? I have a wide feet?
hi, can u please review saucony hurricane 24?
I avoid stability shoes as they tend to bother my knees and feet rather quickly
This might be my next shoe but I have the Super blast 2 on backorder. I might just tet both 🤔 😂
Not all Peba is created equal)
Puma isn’t using peba (at least not in the flagship race product currently), but that doesn’t make it inferior.
Thanks for the detailed answer! @@kofuzi
@ thank you and congrats on your six star and another amazing year of great reviews.
hey kofuzi my friend owns a shoe store, he is offering me 50% off Glycerin Max and 25% off NB 1080 v14.
what do you suggest i should pick out of the 2? the Glycerin Max is cheaper of the 2 with the discounts.
I enjoyed the 1080 v13 though still cant decide which of the 2 to pick.
If it’s your friend, I’d probably recommend paying full price. But 50% off the Glycerin Max sounds real nice
This vs the New Balance FreshFoam X More v5 ?
it really depends on what style of max cushion shoe you are looking for. if you are looking for a traditional max cushion experience, then More v5. if you are looking for something more modern/squishy, then Glycerin Max
Another way to look at it is that the More v5 is closer to the Glycerin than it is to the Glycerin Max, if that helps
Some how managed to get a pair of Nike VaporFly 3 as my race day shoes, and it's doing some pretty good miles on it ☺️
By the way Congratulations on your 6 Majors, was so proud to see you wear it 😎 Hopefully I get to make it someday.
I have them now in two sizes but still undecided on the final one. What do you recommend on them? Is it still simple a full thumb width?
Which one feels better? I’d go with that one
What's up Mike! Yoooooooooo! 😄
How would you compare it to the other Max shoe? Glad you compared it to the Puma Magmax! The Glideride Max that is?
How does it compare to the More v5?
Hmm am wondering how it compares to the nimbus
I think it’s closer to the Glideride Max
Hi Kofuzi do you use chest hrm or arm hrm?
arm band. it sits on my bicep
@@kofuzi thank you for the response Ko
Brother help me, im torn between endorphon pro 4 vs cielo x1? Which one should i get? I run in very hilly area and will do my first marathon next month. Im not a fast runner
neither one is a bad choice. I'd lean towards endorphin pro 4
I wonder if a forefoot striker really is representative for most of us when testing a shoe. I don't know if midfoot or heel strikers can rely on his reviews
hey nice review! was considering this compared to the saucony hurricane 24s.. can you make a review of it please?
I don’t review stability shoes
@@kofuzi thanks! subbed anyways! congrats on 200k!
You would be a great techno DJ Kofuzi I dig your music taste. These shoes would be cool to wear at a rave
My DJ name was Korova, like the milk bar
@ Bam . I nailed it . I could tell between here and on your Instagram
Got mine for $80 with firefighters discount at brooks outlet.
Does Brooks make them in 2e width?
I don't normally track width availability of shoes. A google search indicates that it currently is only available in D for men and B for women.
I don't have information on whether additional widths may become available later
Kofuzi… what a majestic flyaway 😂
What do you think of Nike Invincible 3 or Nike Ultra Fly?
both great spikes
I’ve not tried the Ultrafly.
I feel like I talked about the invincible 3 in like every video from the first half of this year.
Check out my superblast 1 or 2 videos, for starters

Good for an ultra marathon??
Assuming it’s a road ultramarathon and depending on what your goals are, it could be a great choice
@@kofuzi a fat road ultra. Slow moving at 9- 10mins per km
This or Saucony hurricane 24
Hurricane is a stability shoe. If you need a stability shoe, get that (or another stability shoe).
If you want a big squishy shoe that may be a bit of the opposite of a stability shoe, consider the Glycerin Max
@@kofuzi I just want a good cushion show for long miles that will take load of my legs, does the max have a little pop?
@dnice362 “The Run Testers” just published that comparison! Headed over to watch that vid now.

I’ve a workout in the shoe and one marathon, which is a pretty good test set of miles. But since it’s been a couple weeks since I last tested them, I might do another fartlek this week to refresh my thoughts
Where are you going to do a 100k trail race ? IMO you should come run Javelina jundred 100k one year I mean the cutoff is 29 hours 😂
more v5 on the horizon??
i need to reach out to NB to see if they'll send one to review. I seem to have been left off of the initial product review seeding list.
IS THIS BETTER THAN PUMA MAG MAX?
That depends on the criteria you use to define better. I have provided some guidance in answering this question in the chapter “vs Magmax”
I am scared that the sole will not last long
Good morning. Thanks for this information. Like to Kofuzi. Cheers.
Great Video!
This is a great shoe especially for the huskier amongst us 😅
Thanks for letting me know!
Late upload, Ko is working overtime
I’m pretty much busier and get less sleep the week after a marathon than during marathon weekend
Only 1 color and 1 width not for me. I'll stick with my all black 2E Glycerin 21's. I like Brooks shoes though🤷🏻♂
