Yup I agree. I also think that when she was saying how he said “I don’t want you to leave, you’re not going anywhere” before their “fight” started, most likely it was the exact opposite. I have a feeling that he took the taxi drivers advice and most likely realized that she’s no good for him & probably told her she was in the wrong and that he wants her to leave and wants to end their relationship. I try to look at things overall, with the trial as just one piece of everything, meaning I'd want to be *_well over_* 99% certain of guilt if I was going to convict anyone, because even if you are literally 99% sure they're guilty, that means if 1 out of 100 people who come through that courtroom are innocent, then they would be convicted anyway.
Combine this with the fact that our prisons aren't meant to keep us safe so much as they are for essentially for mentally (and sometimes physically) punishing/torturing criminals, I absolutely would have to be certain to convict. 99% just ain't enough.
I think a society needs to choose only one: either prisons designed to punish OR courts that don't require absolute certainty. Not both (which unfortunately is the case today as "reasonable doubt" has evolved from 1 in 1,000 chance in the 1980's to a 1 in 50 chance of false imprisonment today).

    • @Shinso45
      @Shinso45 Год назад +5

@@ChadDidNothingWrong 99% is beyond a reasonable doubt IMO, its almost impossible to know 100% in most cases where the defendant doesn't confess. (EDIT: Infact, even some confessions still maintain the possibility of doubt and not 100%)
Therefore doubt may always be present but it just not a reasonable doubt.
100% is what I would like for the death penalty or something.

Well, she said he “WAS” beating her up. Then the dispatcher asked if he was still there because she referred to the beating in past tense. She said he was and that she thinks he’s about the die. I was confused when she asked if he was beating her or about to die because those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. He WAS beating her. AND he’s about to die. Even if this truly was self defense and this woman was simply protecting her life, that could all still be true. It’s weird to nitpick that to be annoyed/suspicious about because that is honestly one of the most believable parts of her entire story

Outside the bar, I was smoking and he stormed out with her yelling "You're gonna talk to me!" Her grabbing his shirt from behind and then she started punching him in the back of the head. But there were many times when I thought that something is definitely wrong with my friend. Always chasing/obsessing the next potential boyfriend. If she stayed single for two weeks, it’s because she thinks she’s getting back together with an ex. She would do anything for her new beau and try molding herself to his taste. Her choices in men and the drama is what affected our friendship and I cut her out of my life for my own sanity.

This is totally my ex Wife... After 7 years, it all finally ended on Christmas morning. I had just came out of the bathroom, as I entered the area between the dining room and the kitchen, all I saw was the flash of a Knife. A very long knife. I believe it was Devine Intervention that saved me and my 2 year old son. I don't know how I got the knife away from her, but I remember stepping backward, knocking my son down. So he didn't see his mom with the knife... This was the worst Christmas I have ever experienced. As Law enforcement here, didn't believe a word I said, but instead believed everything she told them. Even though all the physical evidence proved that I was attacked. My Hair was on the floor, I had placed the knife, on top of cupboards, out of her reach. Keeping myself between her and the kitchen. It was the worst experience in my life.
I had received a copy of her statement, which revealed to me and eventually Law Enforcement, the Vile Narcissistic Person she truly is. I did not pursue a Law Suit against Law Enforcement, but I was divorced 2 years later. I raised my son, without child support and he is now 22, Married and I will be a Grandpa any day now...("Thank you Lord for guiding me through this 🙏")E.L.K.

She made a fatal mistake at 48:20 when she said when she judged him he would "regress". Portraying him as mousey, childlike, frail man...hardly a man that would attack her and overpower her. (I think she realized her mistake, because immediately after she began to fumble her words trying to 'recover' but couldn't think of what to say.) A lot of people with Narcissistic personality traits don't like someone else being in control, so if he was trying to break it off with her aka: stop taking care of her, then I could totally see how things could turn violent.

I think that since he’s always a calm and quite shy man, she probably never seen him angry before. So I’m assuming that most likely they came upstairs after the taxi altercation and tried to put her in her place and tell her that she was in the wrong. He probably tried breaking off their relationship and told her to leave, most likely because the taxi lady told him that she’s no good and he finally seen it for himself that he needs to remove himself from her. So her saying that he was saying he doesn’t want her to go is probably the exact opposite. Instead of saying “I don’t want you to ever leave me” was most likely “I want you to leave”.

Thinking the same thing! Usually, the culmination of toxic relationships like this is when the other partner is finally breaking up for good with the narcissistic partner. He was probably exhausted with her and asked her to never come back. Narcissists are so scary, imagine she just killed him but she sure has no problem blabbering for hours about how she was so good to him and that he was obsessed with her. She killed him and she's also trying to assassinate his character.

    • @-desertpackrat
      @-desertpackrat 2 года назад +19

Don't worry too much, I'm the same way and used to think that. But that's why it's only analysis and isn't usable as evidence, because you can never truly know someone's mind even if you're very good at "reading people". It just helps the detectives know "hey I think this person is lying so I better not give up, eventually they will confess". If you did nothing wrong and they're mistaken, then you never confess and they eventually realize that's just your mannerisms. They learn you over time just like someone who would actually know you. They ask your friends and family "is this person usually so fidgety and avoids eye contact?" anyone who knows you would be like "oh yeah for sure, they always avoid eye contact" etc. and then they know "this is just mannerisms, ignore these signs and look for something else". That's why they look at both your behavior when talking about normal stuff and when being interrogated. They'll ask about your life, your family and pets, try to make "small talk" and that is to see how you act when you're distracted from being nervous and just start talking normal. If you're still acting anxious during the normal conversations, and then act the exact same way when the serious questions come out, they understand that it's just who you are and not indicative of what they're looking for. They're looking for someone who acts two totally different ways because they're trying to hide something by changing their normal behavior. A lot of psychology theory goes into this and they know that some of us are just "quirky" and don't follow the same emotional or body language rules, and they do account for that.

Except for the murdery thing, this woman was exactly like my ex girlfriend. She was terrifyingly narcissist, and it's one of those things that you don't realize until they've already locked you in. I learned that she would tell me the most loving things, and say that she wants to be with me forever, etc. But behind my back she would tell some people that I'm the worst person ever, and would tell others how she wants to marry me. She manipulated everyone in order to get the most attention possible. No matter what I did for her, it never mattered. One 'mistake' on my part and I had to practically get down on my knees apologizing. She would purposefully go out of her way to lie and do things that she knew would hurt me, but if I were to take any offense then *I* was the one in the wrong.
And one of the most dangerous things you can do is to reject a narcissist. They don't hurt you. They break you. My ex completely broke me. It messed me up for months, but despite all I got put though, the more I learn about people in relationships with narcissists... I got off easy.

That sounds very similar to an ex-friend I had for four years. Being afraid around them everyday and worrying you'll trigger their wrath is one thing, but putting your foot down and saying enough opens up a whole different world of pain. And even after you get away, you still worry if you yourself were the problem thanks to being gaslit so much. I still worry on an off that I'm a narcissist and don't recognize it so watching interrogation videos like this make me extremely paranoid. I'm not sure if anyone else whose dealt with a narc feels the same way when watching stuff like this. 😅 I'm glad you're not with your ex anymore. You didn't deserve that.
