@@mascara1777 Touchy much? OP just means s/he has been around for a lot of documentaries and these are top notch. It's not a contest. You will be/have been 36 at some point too. Chill. Why is everyone so on edge?
Idk if you've looked around lately, but shit is about to get real. I was raised by my grandmother who was born and spent her childhood, in large part, in the Great Depression, and I know it will be different now, but your whole way of living is about to change. Most of y'all ain't even ready. I welcome it. America has gotten soft. Most people, man, the worst day of y'all's lives was when your gf/bf left you or even like someone said something you don't like or you read a mean Tweet lmfao.
Y'all bout to learn wtf Mazlow was talking about with that whole "Heirarchy of Needs" thing. When you ain't ate a decent meal in a week, can't afford medication, and are fighting to keep a roof overhead, what someone has to say is not going to be even in your periphery. You're gonna be so wrapped up in getting used to fighting to stay afloat that you won't even care.

What happened to Ryan Waller was horrible and should serve as a prime example to never judge a scene by the way it looks. Everyone in authority failed that day. There should have been folks fired and charged with negligence. That interrogation was so blatantly weird/bad. Pure negligence and apathy on what they already judged.

But we see it all the time and when suspects end up dead at the hands of the police somebody ALWAYS comes out the woodwork and says "Oh...the police are allowed to do whatever they want if the person is a criminal". Freddy is a close friend and colleague, You’ve gotten to know him as a good bud over the past 10 years. He’s a funny light hearted good man with good morals and cares deeply for his friends and family. You’ve met his wife and kids multiple times, as he’s invited you over to his house and out on dinners. You’ve spent countless nights with him at the pub, good times and bad, sharing your heart and problems and having him be a the rock of a friend that you need in trying times. He’s lent you money when you desperately needed it for your mothers surgery, allowed you to repay him over a long time that was comfortable for you with 0 interest. He’s covered multiple shifts for you when you asked that girl out on a date, or you just couldn’t miss a friends wedding and didn’t have any holidays left to book. You’ve done the same for him. One day your on patrol with him Persuing a man involved in an alleged shooting. You pull up to what seems to be his car abandoned on a side road. You and Freddy cautiously step out of your patrol car to approach the abandoned vehicle. You hear several loud bangs and turn to see Freddy on the ground. 3 shots to the body and one to the head, he died immediately. You take cover and call for backup, by then the shooter is long gone. Freddie is gone too. Bieng his patrol partner it’s down to you to tell his family. That night you knock on the door of his house, his wife answers.
“Hey so good to see you!” She says with a smile on her face,
“Where’s Freddie… what’s up?” She continues. Her initial smile slowly turning into cautious anticipation.
Your silent. Unable to make any words leave your mouth. The look in your eyes tells her everything she needs to know. Her rock, her provider, the father of her kids and the man she loves is gone. Your best friend, the man that’s been there for you for over a decade is gone. All over a selfish child murdering scum with no regard for anyone but himself.
I hope after reading this you can wake up from your dilusion, and Understand that when situations like this happen, the abuse the cops give to the cop killers is not only understandable, but completely deserved. In fact they deserve much worse, and that these cops are in fact NOT as you say ‘a different race or something’ but are human. Bieng human is the very thing that made these cops beat the heck out of this scum and torture his hands with the cuffs. Just honestly think, your personal best friend. Have that person in your mind right now. What would you like to/do to me, if I went over to him whilst he was shopping on an ordinary day at Walmart, pulled out a gun and shot him dead where he stood, for no reason but selfishness. Your inhuman if your answer isn’t at the very least beat the ever living heck out of me and torture me. In fact these cops WOULD BE a “different race” as you put it, if they DIDNT torture this man. So long as people exist who think his behavior and actions are funny or normal or acceptable, we have a bigger problem. This man clearly has no respect for human life, at all. Those kinds of people don't care and don't scold those who do it, especially if they are friends or family. It's encouraged to rob, kill, assault, and sell drugs. Look at how the people who visited were boasting and laughing about him being famous for the murders. Look at how the mom was defending her son's actions and blaming it on other factors in court. Obviously this guy is guilty, but there is a famous interrogation video out there; where an early to mid 20 male is being interrogation after he repeated told the detective he was shot in the face. The detective ignored this, telling the suspect he is fine. The detective had the suspect repeat his story 3 or 4 times; and every time he told the detective he was shot in the face by intruders. Finally about an hour in, the detective calls for medical, because the suspect was in fact one of the 3 victims. The other two victims where dead, and sadly the "suspect" sustain server brain that eventual lead to him passing away 10 years later.

Especially when he asked for medical attention saying he's in a lot of pain where cops beat the crap out of him. He lost his left eye, broken nose and jaw, not to mention other cuts and bruises. They denied his medical treatment for almost 2 hours. When he asked for a lawyer, they should've stopped and got him one. Yet, no one got fired and they justified the beating. Not defending the suspect, but pointing out the dark side of the typical law enforcement.

The way he repeats “im under duress” exactly clearly shows at least a cursory understanding. I very much doubt he believes even 90% of what he’s saying here and is just doing the “deny, deny, deny” tactic because he’s to some level aware how these interrogations go and that anyone’s best option is to at best not talk but if not than just deny everything.
By the way he responds only to emotional provocations reluctantly he is certainly not displaying psychopathic behavior.

The legal system is supposed to provide the punishment, not the law enforcers. While I don't have sympathy for the man, I have sympathy for the rule of law. Every time they introduce mistreatment (they aren't punishment after all, they are there to bring cases to trial, the judge punishes them) they increase the odds of losing that conviction. You only need one of the jurors to feel sympathy for the suspect and is stubborn enough to lose a conviction. It's not about what they 'knew' about him, at this point he's a innocent man according to our legal system, and he remains innocent until a jury decides he's guilty. The emotions of the cops shouldn't be shown at this point, they should be building a case and ensuring that it's as damning as possible to the jury.
