My daughter was shot 16 times by her husband deputy Dave Lewandowski in Feb 2017. Elizabeth of course, did not survive. I found both her and Dave dead after the hospital called me because Liz failed to report to work. She was an ER nurse. He emptied his service revolver on her then turned the gun on himself. This story hits home to me.

My "death wish," psychopathy & lack of willingness to live kept me alive -- odd I know.
My kids' dad tried to strangle me (among many other things)... idk why but I laughed & told him "he better be ready to tell my children how I died" & I continued to laugh.
He let me go with (what it seemed like) fear in his eyes...
I left after that with the blessing of all of my children (including my "forever" stepkids), his mom, his sister & my parents.
    Never looked back.
After couple more bs relationships & tons of bs because of their own insecurities -- I chose to remain single... still am to this very day.
    I'm much more content. 💯
    Best wishes to everyone ❤

@@alex-qd6ofI don't think she left the kids, she left him and the relationship with the everyone's blessing including the kids ,most kids want their parents together and blame the mom when the family is broken apart instead of trying to see what happened to make it that way, when it could have been life or death (this being a prime example of that). I have seen with my own eyes families making excuses for the abuser telling the women (almost begging them) to stay with their sons it's crazy they will get mad when they would call the police or even talk to anyone about it, because "it was family business" I unfortunately have learned about verbal, emotional and mental abuse but it's not serious like physical so it's ignored, jokes made, they egg on the BS and any time you say anything to stand up villain, so you think there is no point, everything you say/do is wrong so getting the blessing she doesn't have to get it but it makes things easier, the constant blaming you and guilting you into stay because you misunderstanding things or need to get over things glad her family gave/became her support because without it gathering strength to leave can be hard

I don't think his face was hidden because he was a police officer. This happens a lot now. A man in my town killed his girlfriend's mother and then beat her into a coma. After a massive search he was arrested. Did the news show him? Nope.....It's skin color unfortunately. Killers regardless of what they look like should have no media protection.

Balloon releases... nah just becomes liter. Honoring a loved one would be better served by planting a tree or a large flowering bush(purple lilac b/c purple is domestic abuse awareness color) each year. Plant them in public parks, on college grounds, at high schools etc and a plaque can be placed next to it in memorial of them or plant one in a different families yard. Such a beautiful & lasting symbol of love ♡ Flower gardens are great too and everyone can pitch in with cost, putting it together, and then maintaining it💜

I’m so proud of you. Keep fighting for others because your story gives hope. I myself grew up in a home with a very abusive stepfather. I didn’t care what he did to me I just refused to watch him hurt my mother anymore. I had to be the strong one because she was way more scared of him than I was. We did get out eventually. Forgiving was so hard when it came time for me to do the forgiving. Talk was easy. Doing it took time. Several times I thought I had forgiven my ex. I had to work on it. It was like carrying a backpack. One day I realized the weight was gone and I didn't have any anger and hurt. I was so much happier and I had a freedom that had been missing for so long.
Forgiving someone isn't instant but I'm much better after actually forgiving him.

And you know she’s thinking, “a prosecutor is going to play this call for a jury,”
